Beautiful rest stop with stunning murals and landscaping. Last chance for gas before the border, highly recommended you top off as process only go up from here as you go south. If you are looking for decent food, this is not your place, nothing special about the offerings, no hot food and definitely get you with the last chance tax. Restaurant is rarely open. The music and car fountain are definitely a vibe! The bathrooms are small, waterless and see a lot of traffic. This place has remained the same since I can remember, could definitely see some investment in the facility, especially give the amount of traffic that comes through. The murals are beautiful!

Great rest stop if you’ve skipped Ajo. Nicely decorated for Christmas. The murals are also cool to look at. Worth a quick stop, Why?, to say you were there.

This superb fuel, restroom, and convenience stop was unexpected given the remote area. Stopped here for diesel fuel while towing my fifth wheel RV to Organ Pipe National Monument. The overhead canopy had plenty of overhead clearance and the restrooms were well maintained. The upbeat vibe and murals also makes this a great stop.

BREATHTAKING ❤️I loved how vibrant the colors are from the paintings on the wall to the plants to the waterfall truck! The puns found everywhere had me smiling from ear to ear. Staff was friendly, restrooms were clean. The Day of the Dead mural was absolutely breathtaking! The water fountain truck had friendly bees sipping water in this horrible heat. Absolutely heartwarming to see this store impacts positively nearby creatures!Very lovely pit stop for last minute items prior to crossing over the border. Why Not take a chance 😉❤️

Cute, but the huge drop from the road to the dirt driveways to this place is b r u t a l. It felt and sounded as though half the contents of my RV spilled, fell or jumped when I carefully pulled in. I noticed fuel was cheaper across the street also. I will go there next time.

This is the most adorable little travel store in the middle of freaking nowhere Arizona. Bursting with color from beautiful murals all around the buildings, and tons of plants native to the area, it’s a stop you can’t miss! They’ve got your usual gas station necessities and travel souvenirs with this town’s unique name. You’ve gotta stop by if you’re passing thru! Why not?!?!

Such a cute travel stop in the middle of nowhere in the hot Arizona desert. Why not?! Everything from cool drinks to rehydrate oneself with to travel snacks. Amazing artwork and murals. We really loved the fountain planter made out of the old rusted out truck. A much needed stop on the way to Mexico.

I suggest you stop here if just to see the car fountain, the beautiful murals, and stretch your legs. It only takes a few minutes and you'll love the colors on the sign and the murals!

A must stop! And a must follow on Facebook if you travel through SR85. They are more than just a gas station, which they do have at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They also offer gun and car storage. You can get insurance here also if you are traveling to Mexico oh and snacks too :)P.S If you stop here on your way to Rocky Point, MX ask them if there is any food for Barb's Dog Rescue.

It’s a Texaco gas station with a whole lot more. Buy your Mexican auto insurance (it’s close to the border), buy some Indian jewelry, get some convenience store food and drink! It’s all there and it’s all good!VictorB

From the outside it is really interesting but I must say I expected more goods inside in term of some souvenirs or locally made stuff.

Good selection of snacks. Has an iced coffee station with 3 different flavors. Was nice overall but bathroom needed soap and to be cleaned.

This is the first stop after crossing the border and the restrooms are a disaster and the store is not even open. The gas pumps were working at least. Gas stations are making bank right now and should not be in this condition. Before the store was so cute and the restrooms were always clean and stocked.Too bad they aren't taking care of it anymore.

Absolutely lovely gas station. Clean restrooms. Beautiful murals. Random gifts, because Why Not? Cute coyote in the parking lot (don’t feed it) I only did 4 stars because no beer/alcohol and it’s the first gas station coming from Organ Pipe National Monument. And after a long day of hiking that’s all we wanted. We had to go to the casino gas station to pick up brewskies.

Love Why Not Travel Store! Bathrooms are kept as clean as possible and I feel they take pride in helping tourists prepare for their trip south of the border! Good snack collection, coffee, hoping they get their liquor license back so they can start selling alcohol again!

The fun fountain and overall decisions make this worth a 4th star, but the bathrooms were not as clean as most comparable convenience stores. The place is definitely worth stopping at before you head into Mexico, though, because there's nothing else for miles around.

Horrible place with rude staff, people sit in line to get through boarder patrol and then need to use the restroom, however they get closed 30 minutes before the store appears the guy can finally clean it once a day. They lock you out and not let anyone in. After spending close to $80 between gas and snacks you are left to pee in the Bush and they don't even have napkins inside. About 30 people needed to go to the bathroon, as the gas station was packed with cars, and all were told bathroom. Very inconsiderate. Also very few cold specialty drinks and crappy hours of operation. They really need to make changes.

What a gem. We usually stopped at the desert diamond around the corner but stopped her this time and wow I love the water feature, art and vibe. Store clean and better than the casino store. Will always stop here from now on

You can always rely on the kindness of strangers, here’s Why: We stopped by Why Not Travel Store and took pictures and bought snacks. I left my wallet while sitting out front enjoying the desert landscape, I realized while traveling back home to Las Vegas. I called Why Not and had Crystal help me immensely, they found my wallet and went completely out of their way to send it back to me. Thank you so much Crystal you guys are amazing!!

Typically good prices on gas, with a convenience store attached. Convenience store has all the standard snacks, plus some pantry staples. No beer / wine / liquor sold

Ridiculous! CASH ONLY for GAS!! They DO take credit/Debit for ANYTHING else, BUT GAS IS CASH ONLY. $4.89/G Regular. Then to make it worse, it's a LINE of 10+ inside to put cash on pump AND then get CHANGE BACK cuz there'sonly 1 cashier!!! AVOID!!!!

I don't think I've ever said these words before, but Why Not is an extremely welcoming travel store! The bathrooms aren't the cleanest but this is still a bright spot in the desert and well worth a stop.

Very friendly people, even those that have no idea that you need insurance to drive in Mexico... yeah, me. They filled out all the forms and sent me on my way.Nice unexpected stop out in the middle of no-where. Sandwiches, drinks, everything you need for a long drive.

A very well kept Travel Stop in the middle of Why, just south of the Ajo Border Station Hub. Great place to get snacks, water and fuel before you hit Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
