Stayed 2 nights, April 17 -18, 2024 on a trip to see Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The Visitors' Center in the monument is about 33 miles from the motel and for almost half that distance, you're in the Monument and the scenery is wonderful even before getting into it. I'm adding a star because the staff was great, friendly and helpful with suggestions. The rooms are just average for an old mom and pop style motel. I much prefer this style motel where you can pull up right in front of your room and unload your luggage. The furniture is old and could stand to be replaced. The door had a gap near the bottom that bugs could crawl through but there were no bugs, so that's ok. The floor had some give to it around the door, which tells me there has been water damage, but the carpet was clean with no signs of staining and the room did not smell musty or moldy. There is no overhang on the building, so when it rains, especially if the wind is blowing, there's probably leakage around the doors. A four to six foot awning across the front of the building or at least over each door would likely solve that problem and keep the rooms a bit cooler as well. The room had double beds, I think all the rooms have double beds, and the way it was laid out, one of the beds was right next to the AC/heater unit and it blew cold air across that bed and over to the next one all night. I piled up the covers and extra pillows on that bed to block some of the air, but it still blew a good bit directly onto the other one. This is southern Arizona, so even in mid April it gets hot during the day and the rooms get hot enough that you'll need the A/C at least into the early evening, if not all night. All this said, the room was clean, and the beds were reasonably comfortable, although the shower/tub could also stand to be replaced. If you're in need of a bed and a shower for a few days while you're out exploring the area, the Marine Motel is inexpensive and will give you what you need. Oh, and they have a small pool that looked nice but in mid April, the water was still a bit too cool to get in. We will stay there again when we go back to Organ Pipe National Monument. If you like driving through the desert, nearby Darby Well Rd and Bates Well Rd and the forest roads off of them are in pretty good shape, so you can explore the desert without driving all the way to the Monument and you're away from a lot of light pollution, so the stars are quite nice.

No late checkout even though we are working in the desert with no idea when we’re getting back. English sucked and barely spoken. We had to stay there as there were no other options, despite many times we have settled there due to a lack of options, no consideration for repeated guests for no reason. There were 24 rooms and only 6 rooms had cars in front of them. There is a reason. We advised midday but no, we had to be out by 9, even though the website says 10Rooms: I’m no diva. I work rural and stay in a lot of small town hotels. This place just sucks; from the service, to the rooms, to the amenities, to the guy at the front desk who you can’t communicate with you. Absolute 3rd world conditions you will live in. Sleep in the parking lot, and it will be as close to 5 star as they can provide. Stay in another hotel. I suggest La Siesta or Sonoran Springs or just get to Mexico for another option.

I DO NOT recommend staying here. The first room didn’t have running water and had visibly dirty, used towels in the sink and shower. Called the front desk and they gave us another room, but didn’t seem bothered by the fact that the water didn’t work. The second room wasn’t cleaner - there was ick smeared on the walls, stains on the comforter and chairs, an unclean bathtub, what appeared to be dog bites and scratches on the blinds and walls, and a musty urine smell. Booked another room elsewhere for night 2 and requested to cancel the 2nd nights stay and get refunded. The owner stated that a refund couldn’t be issued because it was less than 24 hours in advance. Explained that we would not be staying another night here because of hygiene concerns. He did not seem bothered or make an effort to rectify the situation. When returning the key, a woman asked if everything was ok. Explained that it was not ok and listed our issues, to which said “okay.” I will not be back here.

Do not recommend!! Dirty room. Blood on towels. Poop smeared on shower curtain and bathroom floor. Shower and air conditioner broken. Extremely rude owner. Pool was green. Made reservations months ago. Spoke to the owner days before going. Still said the trailers I reserved were not available. Made my group squeeze in one room. Told them about my service animal and after staying days was Made to pay fees saying he wasn't aware of the dog. Had to buy our own toilet paper because their door was always locked and they never answered. I know I could have stayed elsewhere but my husband had already paid and I didn't see all the issues till getting back to the room later. Other options were booked because of the holiday.

I couldn't afford the place when they had the price higher but they put it back down to what they usually do so I stay there on a regular basis. It's clean and quiet and doesn't have any bugs.Walkability: You can walk to the store cross the street.

We stay for 3 days every year for the Ajo Fiddle contest. The rooms are small but very clean & beds are comfortable. Water is hot with nice clean showers. The only draw back is communicating with the owner making reservation. With patience and understanding it all works out. The hosts are very gracious,. I will be back Feb 2024.

We normally don't expect much with motels, but this place was an absolute dump. Heater didn't work in one of the 2 rooms we booked and was freezing. Barely any water pressure for shower. Wifi barely works. Hair in our bed so not sure if sheets were washed. When we told owner that room was filthy he gave us a thumbs up and said OK. That was it. Absolute dump. Avoid at all costs.

We met the kindest woman working front desk. We had no intentions of staying in the town but ended up there all weekend!! She was very informative, giving us places to check out based on our interests! She went above and beyond to make sure kid's and ourselves were all comfortable. Also went put of her way to print some very informative informative for us as well. Kindred spirit, she is! I made a life-long friend and she really just made the entire trip well worth it and so much more thanwe could'veexpected! Can't wait to go back ❤️

The advertised pool is locked up and completely unusable. The front door to the room does not close right and the deadbolt does not work. The room was 90 degrees and took 6 hours to get down to 70s. Very small weak ac unit. Refrigerator was very small and would not close completely. My last complaint would be the bathroom. There is no exhaust fan, no useable window and the door would not close correctly.In conclusion, I would not recommend this motel.

A 5 star review of a 2(?) star motel.Actually quite nice! Clean, fresh and welcoming to tired and grateful travelers. We got the last room for under $450 within 100 miles on a busy holiday weekend when we realized that we were probably not going to make the border before closing.The room was clean and smelled fresh. Plenty of hot water for the large tub. Better than expected on many points.We will be staying here again on our travels.

This is a no frills hotel. It had good hot water for the shower, a good solid king size bed, and direct TV. The room was a good size too. But it's not for the faint of heart. It is dated, the furniture is mismatched, stuff is broken that doesn't really matter, and the towels are thin. But hey, the linens smelled and looked clean and it wasn't too pricey.it was a good place to stay and i got a good sleep which i needed. It's in a great location too! I feel like it has great potential to be an amazing little hotel if an investment was made.

Definitely not a destination Motel but it will do in a pinch. The A/C worked great. The TV had good reception. The bed was comfortable. I was given fresh towels and my bed was made every day. The bathroom and sink area had new laminate flooring. The microwave was clean and worked well. There is adequate parking in case you're pulling a small trailer. Location provides for limited foot traffic so I felt my possession in the vehicle were fairly ssfe. Now, the room for improvement stuff. And they are visibly working to improve it so hopefully it gets there soon. No ice machine. The pool was green and had bird carcasses at the bottom. The weather stripping on the bottom of the room doors doesn't seal well. We stayed during monsoon season so some moisture and bugs found their way in. The inside of the tub was clean but the shower curtain was very dirty and the outside of the tub was dirty. The toilet was clean but the wall around it has splatter stains and hand print stains. The other people that we were with had plenty of hot water but my room was luke warm at best. Like most motels, the coffee pot was very dirty when I went to use it. The refrigerator worked well but the freezer was a solid block of ice. I don't use them but there was no iron and no blow dryer.

The motel is pet friendly and the surrounding accessible for walking my dog off leash with supervision. I enjoyed the proprietor and proprietress with their accommodating smiles. They let me pick oranges from their tree. I always appreciate a real key for your room rather than the disposable plastic card. My room was sanitary…. size and furnishings equivalent to the rate.

Decent stay for two nights in Ajo. When I showed up, I told the night clerk about my booking, but he had no idea even after I showed him the receipt on booking.com. So I had to fill out a registration paper anyway. The room was clean and did not have any weird odors (I hate it when motels are like that) so that was good. Room included a microwave and micro-fridge. The shower had lots of hot water and heated quickly. There was no plug on the drain so I improvised with a plastic bag so I could soak in the tub. Room also included a table, lounge chair, and desk chair so there were plenty of places to sit besides the bed. The bed was quite springy, but not soft. The pillows were soft, but I found it difficult to position them to give my neck the support it needed. I did not wake with any neck cricks or cramped nerves however so that was good. I didn't take a swim, but the pool was very clean. All in all, a decent place, but I'd recommend they charge a little less. Paid $69 total each night and it's more of a $45 place.

The owners are really nice and accommodating. The rooms are big and clean. The mattresses on the beds are the worst ever! They are broke down in the middle and the box springs are the same. Definitely not worth 75.00 a night.

This is a nice little motel north of Ajo a mile or so. The bed was comfortable, it had a small fridge and microwave and extended dish network on at 32" wall mount flat screen TV. I had 2 troubling observations the first being it took about 5 minutes to get the shower even warm. Give it another 5 running the water to get it hot and this is all after you determine which handle is the hot as they are not labeled. Lastly, the door to my room was not flush leaving half inch gaps where you could see outside light very easily. If it were summer months with snakes, scorpions and recluse spiders out and about I would not have dared to stay the night. The front desk was courteous and helpful and all said I got a good night's rest.

The best thing about this place is no bugs. The door had a curtain over it because the shade is broken. The bed is a rock. The walls are panels with holes. The TV reception is bad. WiFi did not work. Carpet is stained. Linoleum squares are all curled. Shower is a joke. All faucets drip. At $65 a night they can afford to do a little bit of maintenance. One star for being clean.

Good Price, horrible room. Dirty floors, poop stuck on inside of toilet (obviously not cleaned), hair on counter, the oldest limpest bed spread. Sheets looked clean but didn't feel real comfortable after seeing all the dirtiness. Stayed since it was midnight, woke up early and left asap. Told man at front desk and he rid not appologize or thank me or anything for letting him know, just said he'd let maids know. Not Impressed! Will Not be back!

We would stay here again. The room was clean and it did come with the microwave, coffee maker and a small fridge. The freezer section of the small fridge didn't exactly freeze anything that we wanted to be frozen. The sheets were clean, and so was the shower, and that's pretty much all we ask for.We showed up to check in about 10:30 p.m. and all you had to do is ring the bell to get the night clerk. In the morning there is a key drop area you can drop the key when leaving early. We interacted with the couple running the place and they were very pleasant people.

They have comfortable king size bed. I believe they were in process of remodeling and revamping the rooms. They have a pool but its closed due to the pandemic. No continental breakfast though . They have Wi-Fi but Wi-Fi is very slow. Nice, small and quiet motel, For Ajo, AZ rooms. Right across from the main grocery store. Check out time is 11am.

So we get there and the door to check in is locked, we knock, ring doorbell and no response. So we call and finally someone answer and you can't understand what the guy is saying at all. Finally get our room and the beds are covered in other people's hair. The tv had one station and then completely stopped working.. not a great experience at all.

Accommodations are adequate. Was there to see how much handyman work I could accomplish in three days. One of the owners wanted to try me out with a project. Plumbing problems got in the way of me completing my work. I was never paid for my time, not even minimum wage.
