You need to stop here when traveling through! I can't say enough good things about this place. We stopped here twice in one week on our way to and from Rocky Point. The food, drink and atmosphere are amazing. The garlic knots are to die for. REAL ingredients and fabulous flavor. The pizza was delicious with a perfectly chewy crust. A nice selection of VERY COLD beers on tap that rotate. This is a small family-owned business and it shows in every detail, from the friendly greeting when you walk in the door, to the charming outdoor seating area. This is our new favorite spot whenever we travel through town.

Great family pizzeria. Never had such delicious irresistible wings that were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.But the real star of the show? The garlic knots. These little pockets of heaven were a garlic lover's dream, with just the right amount of buttery goodness and aromatic garlic infusion. Each bite was a symphony of texture and taste, leaving me craving for more long after the last knot was devoured.And let's not forget about the veggie pizza that was bursting with vibrant colors and fresh ingredients.But beyond the delectable dishes, what truly set Fat Cactus pizza apart was the warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional, making me feel like a valued guest from start to finish. Doug was very kind and very accommodating.In conclusion, if you're looking for a pizza joint in Ajo that delivers on flavor, quality, and hospitality, look no further than Fat Cactus Pizza. We have been here a couple times and it is worth a visit! Today, we sat outside with friends and our friends dog and the owner was our server. He was amazingly friendly and attentive and immediately told us we could take our dog off leash, and there was a water bowl for her.The garlic knots ARE AMAZING, the beer is served with chilled mugs. You have to try the honey hot pizza!You wont be disappointed!

Doug and the girls were great!! Cute little place to stop on your way home from RP! Pizza was Soooo good and they had a huge selection of drinks! Small pizza and 2 cocktails only cost me $26! Been open for two months. While passing through town, decided to try. Did not disappoint. Sauce is incredible and the Supreme toppings were fresh and plentiful. The owner was so welcoming. Gave me a tour of the inside and outer dog friendly patio. You could feel his pride and passion in his new an risky adventure. Will most definitely be back.

In the small town of Ajo in Southern Arizona, you will find an inconspicuous little building with "Fat Cactus" painted on the front. From the outside, you would never guess that it's THE COOLEST spot in town! Inside features a delicious pizzaria- with great hot wings and salads options, too- a quarter arcade with a respectable lineup of classic and new games, and outside you'll find a dog and kid-friendly 2-level patio with corn hole and sandpit play area. Fat Cactus' staff are delightful, attentive, and friendly. The owner greeted us almost immediately and everybody made us feel very welcome. Within walking distance of almost everything, you couldn't ask for a better location. In addition to awesome food, drinks, and fun, they also have weekly entertainment such as karaoke nights and live music. The restaurant, kitchen, patio, and restroom facilities are all very clean. Fat Cactus has a "home-y" vibe, amazing staff, incredible food, and the prices are affordable... what's not to love? Definitely add this to the top of your list of things to see and do when traveling through Ajo, Arizona 🌵😍

To start with the price for portions of food is over priced. Next the food itself. Wings are not cooked fully and covered completely in sauce to drown out that they aren't cooked all the way. Shouldn't be that rubbery. The pizza is like what you get at a gas station. Sauce has no flavor. The cheese is like store bought shredded cheese. The crust of the pizza is like cardboard. Doesn't take like real real crust. Highly disappointed considering there isn't much in the way of pizza in ajo. Never again. I truly hope no one else has that experience. Best of luck

Wow what a pleasant surprise to find a pizza joint like this in Ajo. It even has a bar with cold beer on tap. My new personal favorite place to be me. We Don't see a lot of new restaurants open up often in Ajo but when we do we try to sample the delights as soon as possible. This was not disappointing. In fact it was surprisingly good. Not the standard mediocre pizza experience you would get in a big city parlor. The crust was thin and the pizza came out with that cracker crunch we all know and love. Not over done and not over built. However the prices are a tad bit steep for what you get. A 10" pizza starts at $15.00 and at $2.00 per ingredient it gets too expensive to justify more than one visit per month for most folks in Ajo.Vegetarian options: They have gluten free options starting with a delicious cauliflower crust.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available.Kid-friendliness: Video games, Electronic dartsWheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair entryway.
