The customer service I experience at yak lodge is not like anything I’ve ever experienced elsewhere. Brianna and Chris are once in a lifetime characters. Brittany and Ed are truly a master of their craft. Whenever I have a question, Cody and Kraig are quick to answer. 10/10 recommend this lodge and the amazing staff.The cheesecake is a little expensive though🙄.

We live in Yakutat and eat the dinner specials at the lodge most nights during the season. The food this year (2023) has been great, great selection on specials and all of them were good. Looking forward to next season.Food & drinks: Really good, love dinners here.

Incredible experience!!!! The staff at the lodge were a lot of fun and the guides were awesome. Had a great time with my family. Our Captain on the salt was Cody. One of the best guides I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He wouldn't take us to some of the deep holes that Jeff likes to frequent but he still made sure we had a great time and caught all the fish we could handle. He stepped up and helped us out on a river day when he didn't have to do it. Class act and an all around fantastic guy. Already trying to figure out how to get back out there.

Yakutat Lodge is one of the few places to eat in Yakutat. They serve breakfast and lunch (lunch service ends at 2pm), and they serve appetizers at 4pm, with dinner served starting at 5pm. So plan accordingly.The food is excellent diner fare and comforting.One of their bartenders is rough around the edges. Otherwise the staff is friendly and efficient.We did not stay overnight at the lodge, but it looked as if the people who did were quite content.

Best trip that my dad and two brothers have ever been on. This fishing is incredible, food is good, and the staff and river guides are top notch! Had an odd experience with the local older deep sea guide. The river guides in summer of 2021 were the best we have probably ever interacted with ever. We are coming back this coming July. Can not wait.

The restaurant food was very tasty, but served with just forks!?? toast served with no jam, PB, honey, nothing. Just one server so he was a bit grumpy given the# of customers.Coffee was excellent. Location super convenient to airport, and the only place at the airport

Thanks to Craig and Cody for working with us to provide a vacation we will never forget!! Cody took us out for a half day of deep sea fishing, and we caught a huge halibut and lincod! Craig and his crew made sure our fish was fileted and boxed ready to travel out with us on our flight the same day. The trip expense was completely worth it considering we had 50+ pounds of fresh, cleaned, vacuumed sealed halibut ready to throw in the freezer when we got home. You don't know what you're missing until you go to this magical place. We will be back again next year!!! Thanks guys.

This review's just for the restaurant at the airport (through the big wooden doors with the antlers on them). No nonsense, blunt service and good food. Watch for the hours that they serve their meals.

Had a trip of a lifetime! Accomodations were great, (if you're a priss thinking of the Hilton maybe you don't belong here, )food was excellent and the guides were incredible. Thank you to guides Adam and Ryan for getting us on the fish that we came here for!

An extremely convenient option for those visiting or passing through Yakutat. The lodge office and bar is literally steps away from the Alaska Airlines terminal. Prices aren't the cheapest, but are in line with what you'd expect for the area. Rooms are nice and well furnished, with K cup machines and a supply of K cups.One downside is that the Wi-Fi does not extend to the actual rooms, or at least I was never able to connect to it from there. You should be able to get a decent connection from the lobby or bar/restaurant. Then again, the internet anywhere in Yakutat isn't exactly going to impress you. Expect 1-2 Mbps with significant latency, as expected from a satellite backhaul network. Video or voice calls always failed, but texts worked fine.
