A city menu in the country! I never expected to have a charcuterie plate, a muffuletta, and pulled pork in rural Alaska, esp not in the same location.! I'm a New Orleans foodie, and was blown away by how exquisite the food is. The deviled eggs on picked cabbage was next level, and there's even a menu for dogs! There is now an app that allows you to order ahead of time, and the double sided kitchen give you the option of eating on site or taking it to go. If you are going north on Hwy 3 from Anchorage, you'll see the sign on the left. You will not be disappointed when you visit this spectacular new restaurant in Willow, AK!

We had an awesome lunch today at Trailside Café. The food was very good and the service was excellent. if you’re ever in this area, near Willow Ak, pull in and have a fabulous meal.

A really unique menu of surprisingly elevated food! I had the roast beef sandwich, it was well above average, especially the bread it was served on.All the food our group had was yum!The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to going back next time I am out that way!!

Okay, so THIS place is a little gem. Stopped for some piping hot cider and butternut squash soup, which I cannot recommend any higher- I came back the next day for another cup to-go, it was so warm and cozy in my tum. Also, the 2nd time I went, there were fluffy siberian huskies waiting patiently in their enclosure to be adored while I waited for my soup.Totally worth the stop! A fun, quick, novel experience with delicious food and possibly the best cider around.This will be one of your favorite stops, and it isn't even a detour, it's right there on the main road.

Amazing cute cafe. We had a grilled cheese sandwich and a beyond hot dog. Both were super delicious! And a big plus are the cute puppies outside. :)Vegetarian options: Me and my boyfriend are both vegetarians. The grilled cheese already is vegeterian and we ordered the hot dog with a beyond instead of a normal sausage. The vegeterian options are also listed on the menu.Parking: There is a big parking lot infront of the cafe.

This place is a hidden gem in Willow! We stopped here on our way down from Talkeetna. The food was very good from the salads to the sandwiches. The owner is a very friendly guy who you can tell cares a lot about his town. The dogs were also fun to watch and pet. We will definitely be sure to stop here whenever we are in the area again.

Friendly staff, excellent food and cute dogs! Really enjoyed the pork sliders and grilled PB&J with bacon and jalapeños. The owner is charming and made a fire for us while we ate. Definitely worth a stop.

Great food, friendly staff, sweet pups, and comfy casual outdoor dining area with games.We stopped here on our way back to Fairbanks. I had the grilled peanut butter and jelly (strawberry jam, peanut butter, candies jalapeños, and bacon) came with some kettle chips and tasty bread and butter pickles. My wife had the ham and turkey melt. Everything was delicious! I also had a strawberry and peanut butter cup shake which was also good.

This is by and far the best food you are getting in the area. The nacho’s are fantastic and the salads were great. There is also a nice place to hang around back too.Dietary restrictions: Salads available and accommodating service

Trailside Cafe on Parks Hwy at MP 73. This wonderful spot was suggested to us by a new friend. It has great food, wonderful conversation with the staff and ambiance to sit and eat your meal. So far my favorite is their Deconstructed Nachos and the gluten free Lava cake w/vanilla ice cream. Our food journey continues. 😋

Amazing fresh menu and service, especially for being so far from town. This is my new favorite stop on the way to and from Anchorage/Willow. They also let you call and order ahead since everything is cooked fresh to order and can take about 20 min if you order at the window. Good gourmet options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike!

Absolutely awesome place! We meant Abby and kale, two of the staff here. They were incredible to talk to and so kind. The food was delicious and the dogs were adorable! Definitely stop here!

This place was an amazing lunch stop ! Wonderful grilled cheese - kettle chips - dipping sauce and you have to get one of their milkshakes 🤗 The sled dogs that you can visit with while you wait for your food are an added bonus!! Super nice people and they are open year round 👍🏻

Super friendly people working there who are dogsledding experts and can tell you all about how it works and about ethical mushing. We got to meet and pet the dogs.The food was super delicious. We tried two sandwiches and a salad and they were all great. I especially recommend the rhubarb cake which was made with rhubarb grown at a farm across the street!We also bought a bunch of quality gear for our dog even though he is a regular pet. We got a fancy harness, cool collar with retractable leash, dog booties, and stretchy leash… it is professional quality stuff, nicer than ruffwear. Definitely worth stopping here!
