Depending on what you need. I really like Three Bears @ Pittman and Parks. I don't buy chicken there, I've gotten bad chicken almost every time. But, when I do, they are always very friendly when I bring it back. This happened many years ago, so hopefully, it doesn't happen any longer. I still do most of my bulk shopping there. Clean store, friendly and helpful workers. Best place for all my needs.

Just purchased scrumptious dessert from LiteHouse at Three Bears. This is of the most creamy, sugary-yet-delightfully-tangy, flavored caramel products my family and I have tasted. It’s in the Produce section. With Granny Smith green apples, it’s simply caramel heaven. Highly recommend! The six pack is perfect for an evening snack for a family. And yes, I took those photos. Yum.

This place is gross... There's maggots in the pets food section, rat droppings and mold from stuff not being moved around. Disgusting grocery store.

Better selection of chicken at this store. Cashiers need to smile more.One or two of the Male workers were very helpful when I was looking for Batteries. They need to get more fruit like cantaloupe at KGB store too and lower the prices on Blueberries…

We have always liked 3 bears meat and their butchers. Especially on the holidays, they are wonderful to work our meal plans with.I made a call to them about an unfortunate experience and was less than satisfied when I hung up. Not angry, just disappointed.Someone was listening and made it right and I will continue to use their meat department.Thank you 3 bears for reading reviews, says a lot about the business.

So I had to go in there just over 4th July weekend, I am in this neck brace so it is hard for me to get around. But that didn’t stop security to follow me. I don’t get it, why make ur customers so uncomfortable? Why profile? All I could carry was a case of 5 hour energies, two peaches and a bag of grapes and immediately Walked to the cashier ti pay. Yet the guy that was sweeping the floor made it so obvious he was watching me, even blocked my path as I Walked away from grabbing two peaches. I have never stolen a thing my whole life, I had no bags, purses with me. Just a wallet, and the few items I wanted to purchase. Something needs to be done about this store. At this point it’s worse than going into Walmart.This three bears on Pittman is the worst one I’ve come across!! Terrible customer service, they follow their customers around and make it very uncomfortable to shop. They r not kind to anyone being service dog assisted and well treat u like u r a criminal just because they can. There is no way I would ever step into this store again.

I like to get my meats from there, bulk. But the prices for other items are pretty high. I do appreciate not having to go all the way to Wasilla every time. They do have some unique items and a little of most things. The folks are friendly, the meat department guys offer help. I go there for the bulk meats and because they are nice. Hopefully those things don't change.

Close to home decent selection but unfortunately id rather drive into town for my shopping now. While some of your cashiers are very pleasant, there's one who has a terrible attitude. I do not believe you should seek a job in customer service if you dont want to deal with customers.Also no masks.Yikes.

No masks whatsoever.Here's what the management has to say.Well, that’s your opinion I suppose, everyone is entitled to one. Wearing a cloth mask is like trying to stop a mosquito with a chain link fence, which is all you have to wear in a “mask required to shop here” location. How is that going to beat the virus? Just like other viruses throughout history we as humans need to create an immunity to it and/or eventually have vaccines available. It is going to run its course no matter what we try to do to hinder or slow the spread down. If you’re high risk, stay at home. Live in a secluded bubble somewhere off the grid and never come into contact with anyone in society ever again.I have been working in the store since this thing started back in March, I have not heard of 1 confirmed case within our company, over 700 employees that are in contact with tens of thousands of customers a day, not 1 case. Hmm.. you do the math. The media has hyped this up so much that people are scared to live life. You’re more likely to get in a car wreck on your way to the grocery store and die from that then the latter. So 734,000 people in Alaska and there are/have been 2617 cases and 17 deaths (supposedly due to COVID-19), that’s 0.00231607%, of the Alaska population that has died from the COVID-19. Once again 0.0023%.We do care about public health and safety as a company. We are constantly cleaning our stores and diligently sanitizing everything all the time. But the truth of the matter is we are exercising our right as a business to not have customers wear masks when they shop with us. If you don’t agree, feel free to shop else ware, it’s a free country. If you choose to wear a mask, that’s fine, just don’t slander myself or us as a business because of our actions on the situation. Keep buying into this political agenda or whatever the media is trying to get you to believe.If it comes to it, we may eventually decide as a company to enforce masks but as of right now we are not. So please pass this information along to whomever your passing this along to, to let them know that Three Bears is not requiring masks to shop except Chugiak which of course is mandated by the Muni of Anchorage. The store is convenient, neat, fairly well stocked and overpriced. They buy their products from Costco, for the most part and resell them on an average of a 10% markup from the Costco retail price. Additionally, it's nice to have a nearby source for guns and ammo. As with any convenience store, you pay dearly for that convenience.

August 2017Fell in love with this place while wife and I were on vacation. A quick-stop store for groceries, deli, camping, hunting & fishing (license too!) and liquor/beer/wine store. Excellent service!

Deceptive sticker/ stocking practice.Whole endcaps full of one product with another products stickers.You call them out on it and they make every excuse in the book not to honor the price posted.If you just shop and pay whatever pops up on the register this place is for you.....however if you shop sales and deals PAY ATTENTION!!!!!!!!Additionally, I brought the sticker up to managementAnd came back 6 hours later and nothing changed.Places like this is why I shop online and not locally as much as possible.

Three Bears is a godsend to this community. The customer service is excellent, they always have exactly what I need, and the store is kept very clean. Besides the fact that they save me a trip all the way into town, it feels good to shop in a store that I know has its roots in Alaska. Keep it up, Three Bears!

Basically it's a small high priced Costco with no membership and an awesome gun store and lots of things particular to Alaska! Best thing is they stock things made in the USA before foreign goods! We like it! Freindly staff!I would give it five stars if it weren't for the pricing!

Disappointed in the customer service. Was directed to leave my backpack behind the counter from across the registers in the rudest tone from one of the female employees. After a long day of work I stopping by to grab a few things for dinner. I was not ready to be told to leave my bag, which holds everything, cash, identification, for some stranger to watch over. I would rather never go back again the deal with that situation again. The reason for the two stars is the deviled egg potato salad is AMAZING!

In the few short years since this store opened, it has become a household name thats synonymous with convenience and affordable quality. The locations are almost strategically placed so that if you live outside of a major hub, then there is a three bears close by. In addition to being close, the store's are fully stocked with anything you could need, from produce to hunting gear to automotive tools and bulk groceries.

I love the prices and they do a great job keeping it clean. However I have to give a 3 star cause the manager is a sexist pig and very insulting. I interviewed there a couple years ago and he commented about my weight saying he wasn't looking to hire Casper the whale. If not for this I would have given 5 stars.

I used to give this place a 5 star rating but now it's dropped at least for the three bears up on Pittman I used to shop there at least 5 to 7 times a month spending at least a few hundred every time I always felt like a valued customer until I was waking into the store a few weeks ago and a man stopped me at the store front door and said I could not bring my dog into the store she (my dog) is a small 8lb chihuahua she a certified therapy animal who's been helping me get through my shopping trips since she was 12wks old, not that she was trained when she was a baby but by about 28wks(6mo old) she passed a test that made her certified to accompany me anywhere I need her to go I carry her certification paperwork with me all the time just in case she has been coming with me to the Pittman three bears since she was a baby she's 5 yrs old now that's a long time for them to let me shop with her and not say anything except she can't ride in the cart which was never a problem for me I always followed the rules until that day I asked him if he expected me to leave her in my car (dogs have been stolen right out of vehicles in that parking lot) which is something I've never done nor will I ever, he said "yes if you expect to shop in this store" Instead I decided to never shop at that three bears again now I go to the one on KGB their really nice don't give me any trouble at all so I guess Pittman lost out on a loyal customer and KGB gained one
