This was such a wonderful and magical trip and the warm hospitality of the Valdez Stay & Play team made it even sweeter. We did the Self-Guided Valdez Glacier Kayaking Tour and the scenery was spectacular. The staff met us on site and gave us a quick run down of the lake, pointed out some trip highlights, and then we were on our way. The lake was easy to navigate and it was an awe inspiring adventure kayaking through icebergs. 10/10 recommend.

We had an amazing adventure on our double kayak on Valdez Glacier Lake. Jim and Magdalena were such a pleasure to meet. We got our instructions and gear right there at the lake and headed out for a three hour sightseeing trip we'll never forget. If you ever wanted the opportunity to see a glacier and icebergs up close this is for you!

We had an amazing kayaking adventure thanks to Valdez Stay and Play. Magdalena provided thorough information and directions prior to setting us free to explore Valdez Glacier Lake. 3 hours was the perfect amount to time to cruise around the icebergs and paddle up to the head of Valdez Glacier- which let us work in a hike later in the day as well! The lake is about 12 minutes from downtown Valdez, and waterproof pants, life jackets, and a dry bag were provided. Will definitely recommend their services to others!

Magdalena and Jim are amazing and Valdez Stay and Play is a full service adventure experience provider you can count on. They met our every wish with an attitude of, "We can do that." The e-bikes they provided were top class and comfortable and they provided helmets and a bike lock. We also benefited from having a beautiful day in Valdez in which to ride from the Old Town to Valdez Glacier Lake. Magdalena even provided us with a historic book that explained the history of the Old Town cemetery and the people who were buried there. Thank you for your amazing customer service.

This was by far the best experience we’ve had in Alaska so far! We LOVED kayaking the Valdez Glacier Lake. We were free to roam around as we liked after getting details about navigating the lake, and were enthralled with the beauty of what we saw. Highly recommended!

The adventures we did by booking rentals with Valdez Stay and Play made our Alaska trip SO much more amazing than it otherwise would have been! The ebike rides through Mineral Creek Trail and the kayaking around Valdez Glacier Lake were our favorite things we did on our trip. Magdalena took time to give us clear instructions and extra pointers. Highly recommend booking with them.

We ran into Jim when he had his trailer out renting ebikes for a cruise ship. We were visiting Valdez and our children. Jim made it super easy to rent, even offered to bring the bikes to our hotel. When we had a change of plans they were flexible and accommodating. We loved the bikes so much we bought two when we got home! (That’s them on the car rack). Beautiful air b&b places too.

Kayaking on a glacier lake among icebergs was a first for us! The owner of Valdez Stay and Play was available to help us and facilitate this adventure on a very short notice. She was very accommodating, receptive, and agreed to be our guide during this trip. You can just rent equipment from this company or you can use Magdalena's experience and have her as your guide and a photographer as well 😁. By the way.. she is great in both! She was very professional and her calm attitude and professionalism often helped us control our emotions and excitement even when we kind of got stuck on a piece of ice 😂. We have visited many parts of the world and be a part of some great experience, but this Kayaking adventure in the beautiful Valdez was amazing and breathtaking. I would recommend Valzez Stay and Play to anyone who is looking for fun, professional, and affordable service that offers many great ways to spend time in this mesmerizing part of Alaska.

Our family of 5 (3 kids ages 11, 13 and 16) had a blast riding these e-bikes! We spent 4 hours exploring Valdez. We stopped at Glacier Lake and then made our way to Mineral Creek Trail, a 12 mile in/out with beautiful views and ends at an old gold refinery machine. If you're looking for a fun way to explore the area try renting e-bikes from Stay and Play! So fun!! The owners were helpful, friendly and had a lot of great suggestions of places to visit with our kids. Thank you Stay and Play!!

We booked a kayak trip to Robe Lake with two grandma's, a mom, and her 6 yo daughter. It was a wonderful experience for all of us and the lake was so beautiful and serene. The team at Valdez Stay and Play were super helpful and accommodating. We will certainly refer others and be back next year!

Magdalena took us on a tour of the glacier lake in kayaks and it was magical. She knew where all the prettiest icebergs were and was very informative and kind. The photos she took of us were amazing. Magdalena was the best! We had a great time and she was very chill to hang out with.

First class experience with very nice equipment! Very reasonably priced as well. They brought the electric bikes to us which was very nice because it was a working vacation and we could work up to the last minute and then take off the rest of the day!I would suggest doing the all day rental for 8 hours. Seeing the area by electric bike gave us more of the 'real' feeling of the area versus by car (which we had access to as well). And most of the area we traveled to suggested by Magdalena had bike paths along the roads so it made it easy, but we also went off on trails which was exciting too!Definitely go to the fish hatchery, its pretty interesting. I wrote a paper on salmon fish hatcheries in grad school and I still was fascinated by the visit.In this area the views are always changing due to the many mountains encompassing the harbour so its nice to see several sides of the harbour.We will be renting again from Valdez Stay and Play on our next visit because we know there is more to see! We will probably rent some of the other equipment they offer as well, we had a great experience with this company.

Magdalena and Jim were fantastic! We went to book a port paddle with a tour company on a sunny Saturday in late June, but we had our two dogs with us who could not accompany us in the kayaks or stay in the car for that time- the tour company recommended Magdalena, which worked out magnificently.Not only did she meet us at our campsite the night before the chat and confirm the next days dog-hand-off, but were over the top communicative and even took photos of our dogs on their walk when we were off paddling! We drove up to pick them up to see them running the sled dog around on a bike, looking happy as a clam. The dogs were walked, ran and photographed for the 4-5 hours we were out, and for a very reasonable rate as well!If you're headed to Valdez, consider having Valdez Stay & Play watch your pets while you go out for an adventure. We are so happy we did!

Easy to schedule, modify and work with! We had a cool, cloudy day- but those clouds brought some amazing beauty to the lake. We saw little jumping fish, an eagle, and a moose. We were the only ones on this lake- it was so peaceful. Would certainly book again!

I rented an electric bike in Valdez for three hours ($50) and had a marvelous adventure! Museum, Art Co-op, Richmond Highway bike trail! Gorgeous weather, waterfalls, wildflowers, eagles, waterfowl nesting in the pools and ponds by the trail.

Our family had a BLAST with Stay and Play! The staff was wonderful and so helpful. We rented e-bikes for a full day and returned the next day to rent kayaks to explore Glacier Lake. The equipment was top notch at an affordable price. We highly recommend Stay and Play!

Valdez Stay and Play is wonderful! We rented 2 e-bikes for an 8 hour day in Valdez and our experience was fabulous. Their customer service was outstanding. They even tracked us down and replaced our batteries, midday, even though the batteries weren't dead yet. Well done team!We would definitely rent from them again. We highly recommend this company!

We rented e-bikes - 2 adults and 3 kiddos. They set up trailers for us to pull the kiddos. They did a great job showing us how everything works and getting us going. The e-bikes were high quality and speedy! They customer service was top notch - when we returned the bikes, she was genuinely happy that we had such a good time. Such a great way to get around and fun with kiddos. HIGHLY recommend!

Magdalena thought of everything! We happened to be determined to kayak on a cold, rainy day so she provided us with freshly warmed gloves and bags to put over our legs to stay dry out on the water. She also drew us a map of where to go and gave us advice to keep us safe. She also sent a picture of me out on the water! We had an amazing time out there, despite the cold! Would definitely recommend Stay and Play to any who come to the area. Thank you!
