Was my first stop when I moved here 10 years ago. Glad to have them. Good spot for burgers and fries in Valdez. Usually only a winter stop these days as they're open year round, unlike our yummy food trucks in town during summer. Unfortunately I've placed take-out orders for the double cheeseburger 3 or 4 times now and not once received a double. Would be nice to get the meal you asked and paid for. Maybe one day.Side note: Their fry sauce is addictive. Mmmmm. Yum.

Walked in to get out of the rain and glad I picked old town. Sat down for hamburger mushroom burger it was really awesome the taste alone it something not expected mouth water juicy and the fires they have a dipping sauce I didn't get the name but l played a key part of the meal.Wheelchair accessibility: Love the open environment wheelchair at the start bench table to eat. Everything open clear to move around.

Came here for breakfast; we ordered French toast and an omelette. The service was super fast and we were in and out within 30 minutes. This is one of my favorite French toasts I've had over the years!! Fluffy, but not too thick, with an even coating and flavorful crust. I would definitely recommend it. The scrambled eggs on the side were also great. The omelette was decent, though definitely outshined by the toast. Their pancakes were also pretty good!One thing to note: this is not the most apolitical establishment. There are a few decorative signs around that might make some people uncomfy.

Outstanding on all levels. The place was clean. The server was polite and knew her menue well while communicating clearly and with a smile.The burger I ordered was a double cheeseburger and I substituted the rabbit food for bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and onions. The cook, Ron Bell, made me the best burger I have ever consumed. I have run heavy truck through 49 of our 50 states and I say he is a master of his craft and deserves respect and admiration. I hope the owners of this restaurant pay him well.

Went there for lunch. The atmosphere was very friendly. The young gentleman quickly gave us a table to sit at. I ordered the Teriyaki burger meal and my buddy ordered the Philly Cheese steak burger meal. Prices were pretty good for the amount of food you get. The burger was amazing!!! Grilled on a flattop to perfection! There was definitely nothing precooked or frozen about this burger. You could actually watch them make your burger! The fries were good too but the burger is where the money is at! Go here for burgers while in Valdez!

Some of the best burger’s in Alaska! My partner and I both ordered the deluxe cheeseburger meal which comes with fries and a drink for $17+ tax. His with curly fries and mine the crispy straight fries. Ordered take out and everything was absolutely delicious. Great customer service!! We were full, happy, and can’t wait to visit Valdez again. Very convenient location as well, it was right next to the Tesoro gas station.

Out of towners, beware. We went into the diner and sat at the bar for over 15 minutes and no one came to get our order. The worst part about it was that the server waited on three other locals that came in after us. When I confronted her about her service, she merely giggled and laughed. I asked for the owner, which was not on site. The supervisor on duty did not want to talk to me. I was told to come back the next day and talk with the owner. I guarantee that all outside visitors are treated this way. Do not spend your money at this diner. Go to the other establishments in town. They want your money. The old town diner does not.

There’s a reason this place consistently ranks at the top of the list for places to eat in Valdez — it’s that good. Hot food. Friendly and fast service. Tasty options. We sampled the Halibut and Chips (a nice surprise to find them battered in a Panko crust), a basic cheeseburger and the Southwest burger. All were delish. But topping them all were the curly fries, which we found completely addicting. Valdez isn’t ripe with great food options, but this one you will enjoy.

Valdez Alaska off season any food is good. Fresh cooked hamburger, not frozen was a fantastic burger surprise. No seafood and the moment, but the burger almost made up for no fish and chips. If you need a quick bite dont be afraid to stop at the local diner with their fun signs.

Came here for breakfast yesterday. They only serve dine in. The cook was awesome and packed it to-go! Today had the teriyaki burger on my way out of town. Omgoodness! So delicious. So filling. Didnt even need the fries, though they were tasty also.

First time I've been in town and first stopped here and ended up trying to go to Mike's palace. Wrong move. Idk what up with their menu but its ALL over the place. Ended up going back to old town burgers. Long story short pretty damn good burgers. Good service and excellent price for Valdez! I would 100% recommend this place burgers are juicy toppings are fresh fries are even on point. Keep it up guys!

Valdez Alaska is a great place to be during salmon season. Several good places to eat. One of the best for good food at a reasonable price is Old Town Burgers. Halibut sandwiches, and top quality burgers . There breakfast is the best. Bring a big appetite. Portions are huge.

With Covid and everything you would think they would understand. But if you walk in with a mask on expect to wait an 5-10 before anyone even hands you a menu. While others who walked in after us got menus right away.The breakfast menu says in house only. But I guess that only applies to locals. As a local had breakfast to-go. This was my first dine in experience since Covid started. It was horrible. They have no ventilation or open windows. I have come to the dinner since they first opened too. They also no longer have fry sauce.The breakfast portions are huge, fair priced on that too. I would suggest them if they were not so prejudiced against people wearing masks.*I disagree with their reply because a large woman with rainbow glasses made eye contact with us at least three times when we came in. We even sat down and still had to wait a very long time. There where two people at the reserved bar for to-go orders(an old man in overalls and a woman in a sun dress with tattoos all over her body). The woman with rainbow glasses wasn’t doing anything until the next group of people came in after us. She then offered them menus.Your establishment IS prejudiced against people in masks.If your to-go option has been around for a year for breakfast, why not use a sharpie and mark out the words on the laminated menus saying that to-go is now an option. Rubbing alcohol takes sharpie off… I did check the window at our table, it was a sold window. It’s wasn’t a slider. There was NO ventilation at all! It was stuffy.

Literally like an Old Town Diner atmosphere. Be ready you have to serve yourself drinks and get your own condiments but they bring you out your food. So it's like McDonald's but you're expected to tip. The food though was amazing so I tipped only for that. I hope the cook got the tip. Worth it though!Wheelchair accessibility: Long ramp for wheelchairs. Though inside may be tough to navigate. Everything was close quarters.

I visited the old towne diner after filling up on fuel the menu was not large but many things looked good I tried the corn beef hash and it was excellent everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing the service was fantastic and I highly recommend checking them out if you are visiting valdez

Food is good, but not for the wait. We were told when we arrived “it would prob ably be best to place a to-go order, but it would take a while.” By the little Asian girl that needs help with organization and seeing as well - since there were two tables customers had just left and only needed to be cleaned off. She reluctantly did so. Finally got to order our food 20 minutes later only to wait another 30 for ME to have to go ask her for our cups. It took over an hour to get 3 burgers out in a restaurant that was at 50-60% capacity.
