Beautiful Campground and a wonderful staff. The wash houses and laundry rooms are clean neat and well kept. And the walkthrough Museum of the area history is quite Charming.Update: Definitely one of the best campgrounds so far. The biscuits and gravy and pancakes are very good and you can even get a chance to get a free breakfast if you win the pancake toss which is held every night. Restrooms and showers are clean with plenty of hot water. Laundry room is always functional and cleaned. Campsites are roomy and spacious and you never feel like you're on top of somebody. There are so many trees around it's just like living in the woods with a group of Happy campers. I don't say it very often but this Campground and the Sourdough Cafe get two thumbs up.

Perfect RV/campsite to stop in after crossing the boarder. Good place to refresh before heading deep into Alaska.Sites are level and separated by a good line of trees. Good privacy for an RV park.Central cabin has wash facilities and bathrooms/showers. 3 showers and are nice and hot PLUS untimed! This is a welcome experience for travelers to take time to relax and wash up.Gift shop has a lot of nice goodies from clothing to one off items. There's even a small section of RV parts.Towards the back of the lot there's a RV/car wash station as well.Atmosphere felt very friendly from the patrons to the ownership. One big happy place I'd say. We will certainly be back on our return trip down South.

Had a great time for a long 4th of July holiday outing, staying the 3rd to the 7th. Great camp sites with a separation of trees between each. Fun events in the area and we even got to be the judges for the parade and my husband a judge in the BBQ contest. Attending the evening pancake toss to win a free breakfast is a must. Tracy and Tim are wonderful and caring camp hosts and Tim is a certified RV tech to render aid in your time of need. We highly recommend this campground for all camping types, from tent to large class A's. Easy in and out for our large class A. Many others had tow vehicle and had no access issues. We will make this an annual stop.Lonesa and Larry

The campground was great, the site was level and very secluded. I did not use any of the facilities but they looked good and clean. I was told the cafe made a pretty good breakfast. I stayed 3 nights and was not disappointed. I would recommend.

This was definitely the most fun campground we have stayed in while traveling to Alaska. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The sites are nice and private & spacious! The owner has put up propane mosquito eaters to help keep those flying man eaters at bay (and yes the wifi is good ;) BUT the absolute highlight is meeting your fellow campers at the evening pancake toss! We had a winner and a loser in our camp. We stayed for breakfast and were not disappointed in our sourdough pancakes. We will stay here again and would recommend to others!

We spent two nights there in preparation for driving out through Canada to the lower 48. We wanted a good place to rest up, and it served very well for that.It was nice and quiet overall, farther off the road than some of the places we stopped at. It had free showers, which was awesome. The Internet worked well for us, though I heard a few people complain about that. Our campsite was right next to the bathroom area, which was one of the hotspot places. We had great interactions with the camp staff.

Quiet campground (not a resort), each site surrounded by tall trees. Friendly staff, nice gift shop, great food (reindeer chili - yum), older but clean bathrooms/showers, laundry, paved bike trail across the street. We stopped here on the way out of Alaska, after driving Dalton hwy, to clean and wash the RV. Car wash has good pressure, no soap but does the job. We got 7 minutes for $2. Much better than car wash in Fairbanks or North Pole. And Pancake Toss is fun, Tim does it every evening.

We came here for breakfast and had eggs, reindeer sausage and sour dough pancakes. Really good! So we returned at dinner time and I had the reindeer chili sour dough bowl. Wow! It was great! My husband had a reindeer dog with house made chips (we saw the cook spiraling the potato) and (sour dough) bread pudding. Yum!The iced tea is unsweetened sun tea, fresh and cold!

We came through during the restrictions of Covid in 2021 when most campgrounds were closed. Sourdough Campground allowed us to stay even though they weren’t fully operating. We appreciated them so much so we returned last month and they were hospitable hosts. We participated in the nightly pancake toss and our 7-year-old daughter was included in the event, even winning with their generous accommodations! We ate breakfast in the morning at their restaurant and it was delicious. We will return sometime soon. Large sites and some pull through with hookups. Clean showers and laundry. Rv dump and car wash. Close enough to Tok for groceries and gas.Kid-friendliness: They made ours feel special!

We were in a bad spot and needed to receive a letter and medication during our trip. The staff was so gracious and helpful in letting us use their mailing address. We received both packages without a hitch and will be forever grateful! The campground is nice too! Nice flat sites. Quiet and away from road noise. The bathrooms are clean and nice. The washer/dryer worked well and very reasonable. We had a restful stay to recover from the drive up from the bottom 48.

They never told us there was no fire pit at the campsites until we arrived. We tent camp, and it makes it hard to cook without a campfire. Personally, I think they do this to force you to eat at their cafe. Wouldn’t be such a big deal if we had known ahead of time, so we could plan meals accordingly. The picnic benches are also not in good shape. They are half size, and the wood is rotten through. Next time we’ll stay at a state park instead.

Wonderful campground, the owners are very hospitable and accommodating. Every eve at 7:30 they have a contest to see who can through a pancake in a bucket. If you can do it your prize is a free breakfast in the cafe. Met new people and had fun at the same time. Great hosts. I didn't win but ate breakfast in the cafe anyway. Pancakes are delicious! Plan to stay there again on our way out of Alaska.

After tent camping for two weeks we opted for a room on our last day but we kind wish we went through the set up if our tent instead of the room.We got room number two and I'm having trouble believing these are "new"When you open the door you are slapped in the face with a horrible odor. I don't know if its in the carpet or the beds but every time you shift or walk across the room the smell amplifies. It is the absolute worst in the bathroom. If you look up, there are several cobwebs with dust forming on them, spiders in the bathroom, hairs all over the towels in the bathroom.. we're gonna skip on breakfast here and leave asap.

We have stayed at Sourdough RV twice this year. First time with Spike with a RV caravan. Second time just on our own before we crossed into Canada. Both times owners were very accommodating and very socialable. You will have to try their pancake toss to great a free breakfast. Will stay here again if we are ever back this way.
