I love Cubby’s! It pleases me when they have fresh avocados, yum. And the deli is awesome, they do made to order pizzas and sandwiches, and they have a great selection of snacks and side dishes to boot!

Basically the only grocery store in our area. You'd have to back track over a hour south to Wasilla. Going north you have 2.5hrs until the next grocery store. Prices are definitely higher but after you figure out what it cost in time and fuel it's the best deal your going to find.

I don't know how Subway stays in business, honestly. Cubby's has the best subs!! Maybe if they had a few more veggies to choose from, it would be cool, but the subs are ALWAYS a hit. Also, the pizzas, guys!! You can take and bake or have them bake for you. The Supreme I got was piled, and I do mean PILED with toppings. Meatlovers is delicious as is the Chicken Bacon Ranch. To order coffee is delicious too! They have a different cuisine each day of the week, a box full of your choice, for 9.50. You can't go anywhere around here and get chicken strips, side winders and mac and cheese for less than 20 bucks. We appreciate you Cubbys!!!!!

Great selection of meat, produce, and specialty cheeses and salami. Beer and alcohol store inside grocery entrance (separate checkout must be required by Alaska regulations). Cubby's is the only grocery store around the area and it's very nice.

Great shop with huge stock. Ladies were all friendly. The steak was fantastic looking and hard to find those rib fillet steaks like that. The Turkey and peppercorn rolls were ok, but needed flavour very bland.

For an area with few grocery choices, the store was well stocked with various options in each category. This was better stocked than a Havana, Cuba grocery store... and yes, I've actually been in one!! 😉

It's expensive like everyone says, but it's in rural Alaska, and they have to get the food there. It's going to be pricey. Decent selection of most necessities. Clean. Easy in/out

They certainly have the market cornered for the weary vacation travelers who are heading to their evening Denali lodge destinations. Prices, Wow - you need a second job to afford some of the stuff... But they have a great selection.

These people are amazing. I watched them feed an entire bus full of soldiers as they stopped on their way headed North… for free. The store was clean and all of the employees were so kind. Thank you Cubby’s!

Very nice place. We had submarine sandwiches made. Huge! I couldn't finish mine. Delicious! Friendly staff. The sandwich makers were especially wonderful.

Don't go here for fruit or produce since they keep old produce on the shelves neatly arranged.Got home and grapes were rotten.Salad ingredients tastes terrible as well.Ok for convenience items but I am not going here again for groceries.

We were here in July of 2021 and expected very high prices. We were surprised that the prices were very similar to California and there was a great selection. Next time we will do all our shopping here rather than drive to Wassila. Staff was friendly and helpful

Great variety & some great prices. Found many items I didn't think they would carry. Bought a large bottle of steak sauce cheaper than Wal-Mart price. The employees were quite friendly. I live over 50 miles away but each time I go up that way I'm gonna make a point to stop by & check their specials.

I generally don't review negatively. This is not negative, but precautionary!Beware of the prices of everything here! The store knows it is the only full service grocery in the Talkeetna area. A gallon of milk is $6.35, a jar of mixed nuts is $25.00, bread was reasonable, meat is about a third higher than average. Just plan ahead. Buy what you need and plan on a trip to Walmart. Ugh, Walmart!

Prices are ridiculous! If you don't mind going into town, and can wait, you can save tons of money. That being said, Cubby's offers a tremendous resource (not value) to those in our community who don't like going into town or can't logistically work out the commute. Produce is fairly good and fresh with an adequate variety, grocery and dairy are well-stocked and have a nice selection. The meat department is truly the best with great quality and reasonable prices. They also carry general home staples, medicine cabinet basics and animal supplies, for a huge mark up.

Great place for essential items when you're camping in The Last Frontier. They have a little bit of everything but not a lot of anything so you can't be too picky. Be prepared to pay a premium for the fact that there is a grocery store to shop at. All things considered Cubby's is a very welcome oasis in the wilderness.

I drove about two dozen miles to get to Cubby's for One Item. I was visiting a friend for a couple of days, she was cooking BBQ ribs for dinner, and she was totally out of her favorite sauce. I offered to go get some. One of the kind, polite workers took me right to where the BBQ sauces were well-stocked, and even pointed out that it is available in three different sizes! This is the kind of service that brings customers back.

Solid for being so far out here in Alaska, but not impressed with my experience.Found it weird that they stocked some Kirkland Signature stuff (Costco) - but were marking up the prices.Was happy to still find some bread and peanut butter for a decent price though.If you can, buy more food while you're still down near Anchorage - there is also a Fred Meyer an hour south too.
