I love, love, LOVE Dora's images of the aurora. Every trip to Alaska, I end up buying more of her images for my collection! Her images are spectacular and she can tell you the story about every picture on the walls of her cute cabin store. This past February (2023), I also bought my daughter, Danielle, a private workshop with Dora, to learn how to take better pictures of the aurora. Danielle learned a lot about the auroras and her specific camera and lens set up, and enjoyed her time learning from Dora. If you ever visit Telkeetna, you should definitely drop in and check out her store, and I highly recommend her workshops as well!

Fantastic place. The photographer lovrsvto talk about her work and explains it all with passion. The pics are amazing, really. All printed in metal its the ideal gift to take home with you. It all in a very traditional wood cabin. Oh, Dora also rents rooms in Talkeetna so, you will have where to stay as well

Dora's artwork is stunning. She has a wide variety of beautiful images in different settings - it would be impossible to not find something you love. I decided to focus on my powder room and needed a vertical image with a complementary color scheme. Dora was very helpful and personable. I found the perfect shot and it looks amazing!

Bought "Genie" and "Amazing April" Dora's stories of each photo are part of the experience. When visiting Talkeetna it's a must to stay with Dora and husband Tom at the best place, Talkeetna Denali View Lodge and Cabins. Fortunate to have found them and are now our extended Alaskan family.

Visited here on Saturday. The clerk was very friendly and helpful. There are many beautiful photos available in different sizes. Order was placed and delivered was promised for a week to 10 days from Monday. The photo ordered was delivered today, exactly 10 days from Monday and there was no damage. I am very satisfied with the quality of the product and the service of Aurora Dora.

We shot down the street to the little shop called Aurora Dora where we met none other than Dora herself. Dora is a Brazilian photographer who of course ended up in Alaska who is world renowned for her photography of the Alaskan Aurora Borealis. The Aurora Borealis occurs when the sun's gasses enter the earth's atmosphere and collide with oxygen and nitrogen to produce the beautiful dancing lights in the Alaskan sky. The greens are most common but you can see pink, red, purple, and blue on special nights when things are just right. We noticed a black and white photo on the wall of a little girl with an old school camera. That, of course was Dora at 8 years old with her very own camera that her mother gave her when she was 6. She was absolutely precious. And her passion for the Aurora was beautiful. Almost as beautiful as the Aurora itself. We picked out one of her amazing photos and she explained the exact night that our picture was taken. We have it hanging in our motorhome so we can have a little bit of Alaska with us no matter where we are!

It was our first time in Talkeetna. We visited Dora’s shop and loved all her displays. She took the time to explain her work and we could tell she really loved what she does. She made everyone comfortable who came into her store. We loved the picture we purchased so much we purchased another after we got home. We also purchased a Christmas ornament and preordered this years as well. It arrived today, boxed well, along with a personal note from Dora. It was a sweet touch.

I went to her northern lights workshop in March. I had paid for the training which was 220.00. I wanted to go to the training wit a friend in October. I contacted her and she would not let me change the date even though I had already paid for. Very poor customer service, I think a good business owner should be able flexible and work with clients. I ended up going to the March workshop in Talkeetna so I would not lose the money I paid for this workshop. It was a horrible experience and not for me. She was not very patient and hard to understand. I was hoping for a workbook of tips and settings for taking Northern lights photos. I asked where she got her photographs printed, she would not even share this information. A lot of the training could have been done inside before heading outside. We went out and it was freezing and dark. The sky was cloudy when we got to her location and she used her own light for us to photograph. She was not very patient and did not know anything about camera I was using. I would not recommend this workshop it was a bad experience. I feel it was a complete waste of money.

If you are anywhere near Talkeetna, you need to stop and visit Dora's gallery! It was amazing to talk to her about the aurora and look at he work, and she could tell you the story behind every photo. We bought an amazing print from her and it arrived at our house in perfect shape right after we got home. Definitely one of the coolest stops on our trip!

Aurora Dora took the time to talk about her experiences the nights she took each of her photographs. Knowing the stories behind each photograph was fun and educational. Printing these pictures on metal, she explained, brings out the color like we would see it with our eyes. Knowing that these photographs are not artificial enhanced gives me further appreciation for the beauty of these Aurora nights. My print is vibrant and impressive. It got to my home quickly and on schedule just as she promised.

After seeing similar photographs in Anchorage, we had a wonderful time talking with Dora about her work at her gallery in Talkeetna. We were amazed at the details she remembered about each photograph (date the photo was taken, where she was, how long she was out there before getting this shot, when she moved to capture a different angle, etc.)! She is clearly very passionate about her work and sharing the stunning landscape that surrounds her in that area of the world.We ordered a metal print and I can't wait to find the perfect spot to display it. If you have the opportunity to visit her gallery, do yourself a favor and go!

This place is awesome. I visited it on the last day of my vacation in Alaska. I love how it is situated in a rustic and old cabin giving it a tremendous feel of how it belongs to the town of Talkeenta. Inside the gallery and shop is very clean and filled with amazing photographs of Northern Lights. I decided right there that I was going to purchase one of the metal printed photographs, but it was hard deciding which one. My partner helped me out and picked Amazing April Aurora because of the way the Northern Light swirled with silhouette of trees and the Big Dipper all in one print. It’s amazing. I got the chance to meet the owner and photographer there. She was wonderful and explained to me more information about the photograph I purchased.

We visited Aurora Dora in Talkeetna in March 2020 and brought back a lovely small photo of the northern lights. Haunted by the beauty of Dora’s photos, we decided that we wanted a larger photo for our wall. In January 2022, we bought an amazing photo of the aurora over Denali. Dora’s work is excellent, as is her service. We are happy to recommend her art.
