Great Value Service and Products. I bring all my meat and fish trimmed because I want my hound to have the trim and the smokehouse gets best quality ingredients. We very much enjoy all smoked fish and game options. The other day I made a tasty Thai curry with Tustumena’s old fashioned smoke salmon and fresh vegetables. Once curry sauce has simmered a bit, vegetables (lots of them) get cooked to al dente’, Then 1 inch fish chunks go in last bc fish only needs to be brought to temp. Try it brother and sister it will rock the table.

Ordered in early October, arrived today to play a large part of my charcuterie thing for Christmas, worth every, and the wait, for which I think they may have added a few things as recompense that I greatly appreciate. My only complaint is their lack of communication, as I kept forgetting about it LOL. I had called and email and received no response.

The owner of this place is great. He is super fun to talk to and makes you feel like an old friend. We used Tustumena to process fish on our trip to Alaska. His prices were better than anyone else and he did a great job. He also is very accommodating and helpful. His smoked salmon is delicious and I only wish we had more time there to get some of our own fish smoked. I will come back and use him on all my future trips to the kasilof and kenai rivers. Thanks for the great experience!

I loved the job they did smoking my Red (Sockeye) Salmon! I had three different varieties done: Garlic Pepper, Cajun & Brown Sugar - all were excellent, but I like the Brown Sugar the best. Thanks!

I'm sure the fish will taste great, but I was not happy with packaging and lack of simple directions that were written down. Unable to cut into portions and only 1/2 the order was frozen. 10% off doesn't mean much since I'll have to defrost large portions now.

They spoiled our moose meat! We have taken our meat to Tustumena for several years, but when we brought in our moose meat this year, they called a week later and said the meat was spoiled. The meat was fine when we dropped it off! In fact, when we dropped it off, they inspected it, pulled pieces from the bottom, and declared that it was in good shape. Then they called a week later and said it was all spoiled. We told them that it was fine when we dropped it off and they just said too bad. No apology, no nothing. They either forgot to put it in the cooler or mixed it up with someone else's meat. Don't trust them with your game!!!

The Shakin' Salmon Bits are AMAZING! Sprinkle some on broiled or grilled Salmon or Halibut... now a key ingredient in my already famous Clam and Shrimp chowder and just damn good on about anything including omelettes, fried eggs, mashed potatoes.. whatever. Can't wait to head up to Alaska again this summer and reload on Shakin Salmon bits..
