If I could give this place negative stars, I would. They advertise check cashing services, specifically payroll checks, but refuse to cash my check, even though I have multiple forms of ID and even brought mail with my name and address. What a joke. They probably false advertise to bring customers into the building, hoping that while they’re in there they’ll be incited to purchase something. Absolutely disgusting behavior for a company. She said because the signature is handwritten. It’s a paycheck, with a stub, printed, but because signature is written, she wouldn’t cash it. Isn’t that the whole point of checks? Can’t have a check without a signature. So why advertise check cashing?

Our family wants to shout out Jennifer in the self checkout at this Fred Meyer store. One of the most friendly and polite people we have ever dealt with when shopping. She is someone you can tell has a passion for her job and loves to show love to everyone she can. Even when she is crazy busy we will see her working her best to help everyone. Every time we walk in the store my wife and I look for her so we can say hello. We are blessed to have her in our lives even though we just met her in Fred Meyer after we moved here from Texas.

This store very commonly marks up products well above MSRP. I've run into scenarios that their "sale" price is much higher then competitors base price. Their store matching policy does not correlate with the corporate online posted policy. Be sure to check your receipt well when you leave! Personally, I'm not going to frequent stores that don't respect individuals time and money. I ended up ordering my product (a model newer even) online for 59% the instore price.Also their Key machine has been down for seemingly about 2 months. I stood by the machine for 10 minutes once while looking for help, ended up having to go to customer service. They informed me the machine was down, I asked if they could put up a notice as to not waste people time. They replied in a annoyed tone that it says it on the machine screen, I informed them the machines screen was turned off and left in frustration.

Don't even think about getting service from the deli. Always ignoring customers. Bring a sleeping bag, you'll be there a looong while, especially if you're the only customer. They're not there to serve customers. But we're not allowed to go behind the counter to serve ourselves. We have to stand there while these people get paid to ignore us. It is not a one-time event. Can rarely get anything from the deli without waiting 10 minutes.

HORRIBLE fred meyer. They get two stars only because their employees are nice. They are out of stock of the same things over and over and over. Why the can't order more of these items is beyond me and we love their sushi. Until the last two times. We spent over 60 dollars on dry hard shrimp pieces and tonight I had to completely toss it. The tuna was dark and stunk. They gave me spoiled fish. Shopping at Walmart and safeway from now on. Fred meyer is awful, and their sushi people are going to make someone seriously sick.

The meat department doesn't do a good job at checking the meat before they put it out. I went to get some hamburger and hamburger patties and some of them were like brown gross. Like inedible brown. I let them know and they did remove them but they made an excuse saying it was too busy for them to check it or they spoil fast.

Freddys has lower prices on somethings some not but they need to learn to open more than 1 or 2 registers during busy times. They really need a baker that knows how to make cheese bagels cause it is bad, half the time they are burnt and there is barely any cheese on them.

Great location, friendly staff and clean organized location. They also had a dump and water station for RVs at the end of the parking lot which makes it easy. They had everything we needed.

Word of advice: NEVER, under any circumstances, buy electronics from Fred Meyer.Bought a phone that didn't work. Didn't even leave the electronics area and they refused to swap it out or refund me. Went to Walmart in Kenai and they offered a 15 days to return. Fred Meyer's policies have been getting worse over the past 3 years and this is the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. They're not even ashamed of their shameful behavior anymore.If I could put zero stars, I would because even that is more than they deserve.

Online it says open until 11, it’s not, they close at 10. 3 workers aggressively told us to hurry up when we were going for one item at 9:50. (We were walking quickly and directly Towards what we needed once we heard the announcement that they closed at 10). The kicker was being locked in despite trying to exit the store at 9:58 - we were denied the door being opened for us and told we had to walk outside and around the whole store to get to our car. If you close at 10, please update online and also don’t lock me inside if it’s not the actual closing time. The whole thing experience was really pushy and rude.

Double check the return policy on everything!! Fred Meyers changes it frequently and employees can use their own discretion to allow or not allow for refund. Then mock you as if you were supposed to know. And if she/he no like you your beat. Or camping gear. Even in Unopened package -They won't allow return FYI.

I went in a little after they opened today (August 18th, 2022.) Jennifer was on the phone but that was all to be expected for a manager of such a great buisness. We did a bit of talking fixed a pocket watch and a normal watch and got work orders sent out in no time. Quite a nice place admire the sparkle of jemstones. 10/10 would go again. Did have to buy the battery at the store for one of the watches cause they were out but that was no fuss.

We recommend Fred Meyer (aka Freddy’s) if shopping in Soldotna. The prices are better than Safeway. Walmart is a 20 minute drive so Freddy’s is great for groceries, household items, fishing licenses and more. 🎣

I’ve always shop at Fred Meyers for years and haven’t complained about anything until today. I understand that it’s very busy season and staff could get overwhelmed but it’s not a reason to be rude to customers.I was in the check out counter and had gotten my total when I asked the cashier about my total. It seemed like it was too much with what I got. He brushed me off and just continued completing the transaction then handed me the receipt. He then said go to customer service. Ben(cashier) was very rude and flatly refused to double checked the merchandise. Had to go to customer service and had to wait for 15 mins since there was a line.Very disappointed. I don’t think it was too much to ask.

My sister in law went into the liquor store with a couple of friends to purchase alcohol. They are all over 21. The clerk refused to sell them anything without asking for their ID or giving any reason. My sister has dysplasia which means that she is quite short in stature and could be mistaken for under age. I believe she was discriminated against because of her appearance. I will stop shopping at the Fred Meyer liquor store and will from now on go to Safeway instead. They also have a much larger selection.

Great sushi!! They make it fresh!! Fresh produce is a great selection and if the quality isn't up to your liking you just let them know and they REPLACE IT!! I was amazed because literally bought collard greens and cooked them and cooked them and they NEVER softened up, they just stayed "woody" told produce man and he said get some more, satisfaction guaranteed! Also the meat department staff is very helpful with a beautiful selection. Great specials, prices, very good place to shop.

OK for a full service Fred Meyer, compared to others but not a great selection and tends to run out of stock for quite a period of time. A lot. Especially in summer during tourist season. Decent health food section, and are improving it all the time. Staff are friendly and helpful, store clean, deli is well kept and good customer service.
