The store is filled with incredible hand made in Alaska items that the owner will be able to tell you about the origin of. The owner is First Nations with a wealth of knowledge of the areas peoples and history, stopping here was the highlight of my trip

George was so welcoming and friendly! He helped us pick out a pair of wolverine fur earrings for my wife's birthday, and she loved them. Very cool vibe in the store with roots in the area and one-of-a-kind items. Definitely worth checking out!

Absolutely loved coming here as part of my Alaskan Cruise in July. The aura surrounding this place is so calming and bright and I was immediately complimented on my energy which was the cherry on top of my experience!! Definitely coming back when I have the time and money.

So glad we found this gem while on a day trip to Skagway! George was so willing to spend the time talking to us about his craft and culture and the exceptional work he does with young people. Such beautiful hand crafted jewelry, toques and blankets. A must visit! And if you are in Whitehorse, visit the store there. George and Vanessa made my experience in Skagway, Alaska a memorable one! While shopping, I noticed their sign offering permanent bracelets, which I have been meaning to get for quite some time now. Both George and Vanessa were lovely people to chat with and we actually got into some really meaningful topics as Vanessa expertly fitted my bracelet onto my wrist. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the area. It is well worth the visit!

What a great shop! George welcomed us in and beamed with pride within the shop. He and his wife create one-of-a-kind handmade artisan jewelry, artwork, home goods and, so much more. Everything had a story of its creation built deep in tradition with a very modern twist. I purchased earrings and a tea towel. You want a unique memento or a special gift… this is the place. I’ll be ordering online again as we live in Minneapolis.

If you find yourself in Skagway, you need to visit Wild Yukon Furs. We happened to walk in while the owner, George, was talking with another customer and telling some of his life experiences. He was captivating and the work he and his wife are doing to support the indigenous people and their culture is amazing. We purchased a pair of earrings, handcrafted by his wife. They are beautiful! If we get a chance to visit Skagway again, we will most definitely be stopping here again.

Deeply rooted in pre-Gold Rush Skagway history, Vanessa and George's shop is a modern revival of the ancient Tlingit coastal-interior trade routes. Beautiful jewelry and art based around local, indigenous-sourced fur (much of it from George's own trapline).Unlike anything else in Skagway, and a must-visit.
