Such a fun experience! First cruise ever, decided to spring for a heli glacier tour with our mom. Our pilot Micheal was a joy to fly with and was very knowledgeable about the area. He also offered to take some pics before talking about the glacier and walking about! The ground staff in the lodge were also very friendly and helpful as well! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who has never been to Alaska.

This was awesome! Worth every penny! Justin was not just cute, but amazing and knowledge with the surrounding area! Granted flying in helicopters in the military, I've never had that gentle of a landing. Very professional, funny, and just ask around perfect for what he was doing! Would fly with him any time! Thank you for such an amazing time!

We were concerned over the price of this excursion (from Princess) but in hindsight it is money well spent. The opportunity to see the glacier and mountains from the air alone was worth the price. But once we landed, and had the opportunity to walk on ice that has been there for thousands of years - mind-blowing. You can't imagine the expansiveness. And beauty. We felt very safe. Office staff and guides did an excellent job. On the glacier, there was a perfect mix of information and "alone" time to take it all in. We even drank some glacial water. The small group (2 helis of 5 pax each) kept the experience intimate. This experience didn't disappoint.

The views were incredible! And it was so exhilarating to be in the helicopter, following the other helicopters and standing on the glacier with the waterfall running behind was one of the most amazing nature experiences of my life. I am so fortunate that I got to do it. I would highly recommend it.

My wife and I booked the chopper ride and sled dog experience as a part of my honeymoon. Initially, we were apprehensive about the price. It is ENTIRELY worth every penny. The workers were ALL very friendly. The views from the chopper were beyond breathtaking, and the experience of being on a glacier, actually taking turns mushing the dogs was once in a lifetime. It was an intimate experience, 4-5 people in a chopper depending on weight. Not tourist trappy at all. A quality, superlative experience.If price is concerning, find other things to slash. You WANT to do this. Cannot rate highly enough.

All of the people were very friendly and helpful. The helicopter ride was nice with beautiful views and walking on the glacier and talking with the pilots was great as well. Would absolutely do excursion with them again.

I was highly impressed with the professionalism of the company and the quality of the tour. The original excursion I bought was canceled due to cloud cover on the planned glacier. I'm so happy they place the customers safety above their business needs. In its place, they offered a helicopter ride and tour to a lower altitude glacier. The company worked out the pricing with our cruise ship and the refund was issued to my cruise ship account the same day.The tour guide (Bill) was fantastic. Not only did he safely get us to our destination and back, but he treated everyone with respect and gave extra care to the woman who was noticeable nauseated during the ride. He also gave a great tour of the area and glacier and offered to take pictures for us. A fantastic experience and great company.

This was amazing! We did the Meade Glacier excursion! Spectacular! Helicopter ride and a glacier! The views were awesome, and the blue of the glacier gorgeous! Drinking water from the glacier can't be beat! (Might suggest a laddle for the older folks that can't really get prone on the glacier to drink from the stream.) One of the hi-lites of my Akasja vacation!

This helicopter ride and glacier tour WAS SO AWESOME!!!! Riding in a helicopter through snow-covered mountain peaks is now my favorite thing in the world!! Walking on a glacier is out of this world. I have to find a way to come back here and make this part of my life's work. By far the COOLEST thing I've ever done in my life.As for the staff, they were very friendly, timely, helpful, and engaged. They enjoyed what they did and were knowledgeable. Excellent, excellent tour. Totally worth the money.

So worth the money! Take the glacier tour, will make memories that will last a lifetime. Breathtaking beauty on the way there and back. Surreal experience on the glacier. Spend the money. Dress warm, experience it. They provide boots and hiking poles.

By far our best cruise excursion. I loved that the Temco facility was located right at the cruise terminal. Very professional crew and some of the most exquisite scenery I've ever seen! The helicopter ride itself was breathtaking! Worth every penny, so dont let the price stop you from booking. We actually bypassd the cruiseline who offered the same trip and booked directly through Temco to save.

This is a breathtaking experience! We were able to book a same day glacier walk, as our tour the day before in Juneau had been cancelled due to weather. It was a perfect, sunny day! The helicopter pilots and tour guides were very knowledgeable. Getting to drink glacier water and glacier ice was amazing! Unfortunately, they don't allow you to bring bottles to fill up like some of the other tours do.

This was an awesome experience. If you can afford it please do it. We dranked glacier water right from the stream. It was delicious. We saw some great rocks and glacier holes. You have to get up close to appreciate it. The helicopter ride was smooth and very informative. Would love to do it again with my children.

Absolutely amazing experience - worth every penny! If you're questioning this excursion because of the price, don't even second guess it. It's an experience of a lifetime, especially with the glaciers melting, who knows how long they'll be around and if you'll have a second chance to visit?

Best helicopter tour so far, glacier walk tour was great, views were simply amazing, our pilot took us on a beautiful glacier tour, we got to walk on Mead glacier for about 30-40 mins, incredible views. Sink holes and tasting glacier water..awesome experience. Booked it through M&M tours on the pier, we have been told M&M represents local tour companies. Temsco provides snow shoes, wind breakers,, gloves etc..Seemless experience, highly recommended it.

Was a really fun experience to see adbove all the surrounding mountains. we also chose to do the dog sledding, it was about ~30 min of sledding felt short but was fun. Our instructor was a professional racer who had his own dogs there and that made it more authentic.

Do the helicopter/dogsled tour. It was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had; completely worth every penny.Tour took about 2 hours. It's a 20/30 minute helicopter ride to the glacier. Drops you off right at the sled dog camp. You meet the dogsledding teams, they take you around to some photo points on the dogsleds, and then you fly back.

By far one of the best things I've done in my life. It's worth every cent. I had never been on a helicopter before this adventure and I was a bit terrified, but with the combination of the sweet workers and funny pilots, all my nerves were eased. Once in the helicopter, it was the smoothest and most beautiful ride I've ever been on. Our group went on one of the glacier tours and we even got to drink a little bit of the fresh water! The tour guides were very knowledgable and made sure everyone had a good time. I would do it again in a heart beat.Do:- Bring your camera.- Have a good coat.- Wink at Temsco guides.- Listen to the workers and guides, they are there to keep you safe.Do not:- Bring extra bags or big bulky items.- Ask about penguins.

I’m sure the aircraft and pilots and the excursions here are just fine. This post is meant to serve as a cautionary advisement that even if your group will fill up the helicopter, you can easily get gouged. Not to mention belittled.For some context, the Temsco (and many other operators’ policies) state that if a person’s weight with all gear going up exceeds 250 pounds, you “may” be charged an additional amount (currently $150) which is related to two things as best we can research. One, fuel. Two, they need to know weight so aircraft limits are not exceeded and passengers can be seated to balance load for the pilot. So this all makes sense.Here is where the “may be charged” comes in. Yesterday, our group of five completely filled out A-star helo and although three of us with all gear were then over between seven to twelve pounds, one of us was under by 22 pounds and one of us was under by 110 pounds. So, there was a reasonable expectation that we would be fine and we were!Move forward by one day and Temsco decides they are going to surprise us at the heliport by trying to charge us $450, or three fuel surcharges. Not only would they not negotiate to a single charge which would have been a fair compromise; when we explained that it wasn’t an issue yesterday, and we were collectively way under the group limit - he wouldn’t have any of it. The clerk literally said, “we are charging the bigger people for the comfort of the other passengers.” We again clearly pointed out politely that we are all traveling together and all comfortably went up in the same aircraft yesterday to which he replied that it didn’t matter because it was policy. When I pointed out that we were still way under the group limit and began to talk about load balancing, the clerk said, “oh, so you’re a helicopter expert after just one trip and i have been doing this nine years.” When he made this statement it was not in jest and it was loud, embarrassing and very public. I asked for our tickets back and i we were told there was nothing we could do with a smirk. Either pay pay all the extra fees or we would lose all of the $3,500 we paid for a year ago.Well, we will see.But one thing is for certain - after this kind of shock treatment, our confidence to fly anywhere with Temsco is pretty well shattered. Was this desperation on their part for an additional cash grab?Toxic egotism? In any event, be careful. You can arrange your bucket list trip and excursion and get gouged because reasons and be publicly belittled in the process.The craziest thing is that not only do they feel entitled to keep money not earned and after being super caustic- they are just immediately turning around and selling our seats to others. I mean… WOW!Now, as to expertise from a non-pilot passenger to a non-pilot clerk, sure I could have explained I was an aviation Marine for many years but Temsco staff had already made their position abundantly clear by effectively saying how stupid we were and rubbing our noses in it.I will include a good pic from a company you should be able to trust up here though, Northstar.

Absolutely, 100% worth every penny. The entire team working there was super friendly and professional. The helicopters were all spotless and obviously very meticulously maintained with the latest technology. Each helicopter holds up to 6 people including pilot, they travel 3 at a time to the glaciers so you're guaranteed a small group. Once on the glacier 2 tour guides provide you with approx 40mins of history, information and interesting facts. Google wont let me post the dozens of pictures we took so I'll just put a few. Once in a lifetime experience, don't think about it...just book it!

Pilot and dog sledding staff were all wonderful! The bus driver/office staff seemed to be having a rough day, but they did what they had to do. The helicopter tour to Denver glacier was stunning! Due to low visibility we had to be dropped off a mile away from the dog camp, where staff and a snow cat waited to take us to the destination. Unfortunately a quarter of a mile in, our SnowCat got stuck in the snow and we weren’t able to make it dog sledding. Disappointing, but not within anyone’s control. I can’t say enough great things about the dog sledding staff on the glacier who kept spirits up among the disappointment and made sure we got escorted back where the helicopter picked us up. All in all, we got a full refund and can’t be mad about that! I feel bad for the staff who wasted their time trying to pick us up but I hope to be back one day to try again!

I gave it 4.6 stars ,here your bucket list comes true ,kind and great crew give you great instructions, and equipment,the pilot was friendly and spoke about the views ,it's a must for couples or families ,we took the helicopter and dogs sledding tour a bit pricey but it's worth it once in your life time ,great views the dogs sledding was awesome and our mussher was the best he introduced his dogs and how the lived atop of the glacier and after the sledding we got to hold a small puppy it was awesome .

We took a Helicopter tour to visit the glaciar. Our pilot Kelly gave us a nice tour, we flew over the mountains and landed on the glacier. We expend 40 minute walking around, taking picture and enjoying the view. We got a perfect sunny day.
