Unique gifts for the sewer / quilter in your life. Local to Alaska artistry based fabrics, unique and Alaska-inspired blocks, kits, samples, and fabric to make a unique memory of one’s own. There were indigenous peoples-themed inspired patterns also that included totems, drawings, and home life. There were fabrics also with humpback whales, orca, puffins, otters, beluga, seals, walrus, ya know- all the things. Moose, bear and caribou too. People were incredibly helpful and friendly. They also have an online presence in case one is missing something to finish a project. (thanx Barb for the tip!)

I purchased so many beautiful fabrics to quilt with when I visited the shop in June. I will definitely be looking into getting more of them in the future.

We went to this store while on our stop in Skagway on our cruise. So worth it! They had such unique fabrics specific to Alaska which is what I was looking for. I ended up with two quilt kits, and much more fabric! I know my suitcase was overweight! The staff were helpful and nice and seemed so happy to see everyone in the store! This is a must stop!

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I turn to my left and saw Quilt Alaska! What luck! My hubby went in with me, and I was surrounded by the most beautiful fabrics and quilts! Been quilting for 9 years and this was my first time in a shop in Alaska, gorgeous!!

I brought a wall hanging to sew and found the fabrics are cut short or crooked, on straightening they are inadequate to cut as instructed. I did by the wall hanging several years ago but returning to Alaska from Australia isn’t going to happen.

I visited this wonderful shop 3 days ago I just loved all the fabrics and patterns. The shop staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. I wish I could have moved in!!

if you are looking for fat quarters, this is Not the place. lots of half yard cuts, no fat quarters...over heard a worker say something about their shoulders and how that was an extra cut. no one from the store ever spoke or acknowledged me. I would have bought lots of fat quarters, but walked out with nothing. I will find the Alaska related fabric that I liked on the Internet.

I Love this shop! waited a year and saved to shop here again. Boy did I shop! not sure what this person ment by no fat Quarters I bought about 20 and there were more I wanted? The women in this shop are great very helpful and fun. I look forward to my next trip to Skagway this is just the cherry on top of my trip.

I loved this shop! Visited 9 or 10 quilt shops during our month in Alaska and this is my favorite. Not a problem to me to only find half yard pieces instead of fat quarters--certainly better pricing that way. I found so much that I "needed"', paid and left the store when something outside in a window display caught my eye and I went back in for more! Also just placed an online order for a moose panel to make another pillow to match my bear panel pillow. Why do I have to live so far away?! Thank you Rushin' Tailor--open "near" 8:30am! Perfect!

Great shop. Quick walk from cruise ship and beautiful Alaska fabrics, patterns and kits. These will be my very favorite Alaska souvenirs. Lovely people too.

I visited this shop at the end of may 2019. Love this place. Several of the patterns i wanted were out of stock. That just proves how popular Rushin'Tailor is. I'm from southern missouri & will definately return

Honestly, my experience mirrored those of the other reviews here. The selection was great but the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. I was able to pick out a nice gift but I could have used some assistance. I would not recommend shopping here.

I love love loved this shop. Contrary to other comments here, I found the staff friendly and helpful. I bought a kit and needed help after I returned home. Called the shop and was very happy with their service.
