The coolest shopping the coolest people... they have a selection of rocks and gems that you probably won't find anywhere else it was a plethora of gems that I could have indulged in the entire time I was in Skagway. I loved it the necklace I bought was gorgeous I wear it all the time and the fossil stones that I bought for a gift and he absolutely loved it. If you go to Skagway you have to go to the shop!

Great time. I was skeptical about the gold panning but the owner was great and all of our kids found little gold nuggets. He has the pay dirt! He also has a great selection of unique rocks and gems. Definitely worth the stop.

Extremely rude owners, one of whom was on my back the entire time, apparently waiting for the opportunity to tell my 2 year old not to touch the rocks. If you want to turn off your kids interest in geology then this is the place for you.As a local Skagway resident I can safely say I will never go in there again. The rocks on display have more personality and manners than the fossilized owners.

Cool little place to check out. Advertises gold panning but never saw anyone doing it there. The guy there didn’t greet us or say anything to us...maybe he used all his energy on his signs.

This was such a horrible experience! My husband and I took our kids in, we are all big rock junkies and my son ALWAYS gets a couple rocks at rock shops. I held my daughter in my arms but my 4 year old was walking around. She was FREAKING out about my son touching some $6 rocks. She was rude multiple times and so obviously so that some other people who were in the shop felt so bad for my son they bought him something from another to stop him from crying after we left. They didn’t spend their money there either. If you don’t want kids in a rock shop please post signs and that would be respected. But I’ve never had someone be so rude an aggressive to kids in a shop handling rocks under $10.

The woman inside was very rude. 2 teenage boys had come in right after us and you could see their excitement in the rocks. They asked her a question and she began to get very abrasive and rude with them. When we decided we didn't want to spend our money in the store we left and my sister just said to the lady, that in no way did she need to speak to the boys like that. She began to call my sister obscene names and then berated the boys again.10/10 do not recommend

I came in hoping to start a silver collection they had variety of silver dollar coins. Once I got home I got it tested. It wasn't genuine, as soon as I got the news I called the owner of the store he refused to believe me. I gave him the card and name of the place I went to for testing. He never called them and refuses to give me a refund of the fake silver he sold to me. I spent a large amount on the silver coin. This is very unprofessional for someone who goes to large events to show his collection.

The absolute rudest and unfriedly woman I have ever met. Cursed at my wife, yelled at my kids before they even entered the store. Our 2 year old was on my shoulders and she came charging at us yelling to take her down. When we took her down our child touched a stone and she continued to yell at us as we left. We respect everyone's businesses and all of this could have been avoided if she had the decency to just kindly ask us to take our child down instead of charging at us yelling. Afterward my wife went back to try to talk to the woman and possibly see what the misunderstanding was and she denied yelling and had the audacity to tell her we have "to many kids" and to just get out of her store. I am a naval officer who prides myself on my well-behaved children and family. To be so disrespected for no reason is inexcusable and disgraceful. If children are not welcome in a ROCK store signs should be put up.

for real gold nuggets of every size, original old west pistols that widen your eyes, for rocks that look like gold and make you blush, to prehistoric remnants that have been hush-hush. You haven't been in a place like this yet so this is a must see. Push everybody aside make sure you get here while you are in skagwayLots of cool rocks and other great stuff. We were there June 5, 2022. I really liked the shop and the owner showed me some knives that he indicated were made in Alaska. Earlier I made a bad review because I saw Made in China on the knife blades, after the owner told me the knives were made in Alaska.But I recently found that the handles have artwork that actually was done in Alaska by D. Sims. I paid $90 for one and $50 for a smaller one. I wish the owner of the shop had told me up front that the knives were not made in Alaska but their handles were handmade with Scrimshaw artwork done in Alaska.

Thank you for educating our kids about rocks during our short visit. Worth way more than a gift shop trinket. This place also has an amazing and unique rock collection at very reasonable prices.

i would not reccommend this store for gold panning, it is too over priced for the experience, the gentleman was rude he made it clear he does not like working with children. This was a spur of the moment decision for us as we walked through skagway.

The gentleman was rude .We waited there for while but nobody tried to help out.But stil bought over $600 gold nuggets because my daughter wanted help out with local business.After I got receipt there is just the amount but not mentioned about the weight and description about the gold nuggets .Now i feel stupid to spend that much money and don’t have certificate for that gold.
