I recently visited this commercial grocery store and was pleasantly surprised by the extensive variety of products they offered. From fresh produce to household items, the store seemed to have it all. The sheer abundance of choices made my shopping experience both exciting and convenient. The layout was well-organized, making it easy to navigate through the aisles. Additionally, the staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring that I could find everything I needed. Overall, I was impressed by the unexpected range of items available at this grocery store, and I will definitely be returning for my future shopping needs.

This is a well stocked grocery store for a town the size of Skagway. They have fresh meat, fresh fruit, and fresh vegetables.

We detoured here while visiting to get some decently priced items like Advil and cold/flu items. Also picked up some beverages and snacks while walking around. It's a good little grocery store. As a visitor I found this store a breath of fresh air from the tourist filled stores on the main drag.

I'm from California. I came in a cruise and stopped by this cute store. My wife and I grabbed some items and I found something that I can't seem to find in any local grocery store in the Bay area, Apple Jelly. So yes, this place deserves 5 stars just for having something I can't seem to find in any local grocery store. Thank you!

I love this place, I visit multiple times a week. Staff is always very kind and helpful. It’s the only grocery store in town so you can’t always expect it to be fully stocked but I can usually always find something I need.

Some of the employees are nicer than others. The meat here is sometimes questionable and very brown...decent discounts on various items each week. If you’re in town for a while it’s best to get your frozen and dry food here and the weekly fruit and veggie bag from You Say Tomato. If you don’t see a certain item you can put in a request with management to ask if they’ll start to carry it. Great information bulletin board in the entrance.

The only full service grocery store in town. Food is restocked on Tuesdays, presuming the barge shows up. Compared to big city living it's small and low on choices but they do a good job covering the bases.

It's not far from the pier but far enough away that you don't get gouged for being a tourist. It's on the small side (compared to our local grocery store) so the selection isn't huge, but they have a pretty good selection of snacks and the prices are much better than what they charge on the cruise ship. I'm sure I'll pop in to stock up on gummi bears next time I'm in Skagway.

Smaller grocery store in Skagway Alaska, but they carry most food items. Population of Skagway is 1100 people, so when cruise season starts, the stock is quickly depleted. They will have almost anything you need, and the staff is very helpful.

The ladies there were so sweet when I asked questions about celiac. So supportive and even asked me some questions stating, "oh youre good! I want to keep you safe!" They are getting a new blender out and she explained everything that went into it. They changed their gloves and fully cleaned the surfaces! I got a smoothie and a little breakfast sandwich with a gluten free bun! I suggest this for sure! Cute little coffee shop with all sorts! Smoothie was all fruit, yogurt, and fresh! Absolutely delicious! 😋 I was super excited to find this little shop in the area, for I couldn't eat out at all. Breakfast sandwich was A-MAZ-ING!! Gf buns tasted so good! If you come to skagway, you must go here and get some breakfast, lunch, or even an evening dinner/snack!

The selection is pretty small and the prices are high (over $6 for a gallon of milk), but that's not a surprise and really adds to the Alaska experience! The people are friendly, it's always easy to find what I'm looking for, and they have lots of sales every week.

Always out of food. No selection when they have it. If you get stuck in Skagway you better hope it's barge day or pack your own supplies, even more so if a few ships are in. This place needs to get with the times and track and project inventory and sales. They are the only show in town and it is quite apparent they know you don't have another choice. I feel sorry for the locals.

They didn't have a large selection. But because we were traveling and most places charge a premium for bottled water and other basic items we did find these things in the store at a reasonable price the staff was very friendly and very helpful so if you find yourself in Alaska and you just happen to run across the store please drop in.

How does this IGA have good reviews? It's out of everything from Thursday to Monday, and the prices are double or more what they are down south. When you're the only option, you can do whatever you want! Skagway residents have to drive to Whitehorse for a reasonable grocery store. It's like a little extra tax for living in an incredible place!

It definitely carried the basics. The fruit and vegetables were often sold out which was a bummer. Obviously since this is a cruise port of call they have a lot of snack items and grab and go items.

Shipments come in once a week (usually), by barge, on Monday night / Tuesday morning. This is also the closest Skagway has to a drugstore.
