Staff are both very friendly and do a great job. The animal shelter usually has some dogs and a fair bit of cats. Most recently there were kittens there, but I’ve seen puppies as well.

Awesome no-kill shelter! The staff are super friendly and integrate into the community very intentionally. You can help out by grooming the boarders and taking them for walks. I've often gone when the animals were just being boarded, but occasionally there will be a really great dog or cat who needs a home.

I and nameless others volunteer for the shelter by taking the furry four legged beauties out for walks.From big to small, eldery to pups and cats and kittens sadley most are turned in by their grieving owners who are not able to take them where they were moving to. But because of the caring and compassionate staff, Shelly and Nate keep them comfortable and treat them like their own companions. Many that are brought in are adopted a couple days later if not the same day. I pray a new facility is built close to town like this shelter is. My hat off to Shelly and Nate and the many volunteers who keep the tails wagging and felines purring of the Seward Animal shelter.
