HIGHLY recommend these guys. Fish processing was great. Met all expectations. I had fish from 2 separate days of fishing, both were to be sent via courier to Anchorage airport. When I went to pick up at the airport storage locker I found only 1 days worth of fish. I contacted Marsha who went above and beyond by confirming they had the rest of my fish and they would ship to me home in Florida. Fish arrived the day after we got back. Great job team Capt Jacks !!

I ordered the 10lbs golden king crab after shopping around and felt it was the best value and I was a little worried about the quality because I've never ordered it online before. But I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at how good the legs looked, the fresh color of the legs, and how fast they arrived! I was worried that they would have a dull grey color or freezer burn, but they were really nice! I will definitely be making all my seafood orders from you guys from now on, thanks!

Awesome place, I came in to fish seaward pretty late in the season for silvers not knowing all local processors were closed. However when I called the lady at the front let me know she was able to take care of it. They easily vacuum sealed and froze over 100lbs of fish. 10/10 I would highly recommend

Lady that helped me when I dropped of my catch was great! Prices are fair but was told I'd receive an email with a tracking number once it shipped. I never received that and since I work and can't always be home my package sat outside in the heat and partially thawed just hope I can enjoy it.

Ordered online. Jumbo king crab legs and Colossal wild spot prawn shrimps. Got my order in Maryland 24 hours after I ordered. Everything was still frozen. Packaged very well. Crab legs are huge. Customer service was great!

I have been to Jack's one other time and purchased Salmon...it was great. Yesterday, I presented to inquire about shipping cost to send Salmon to my mother in California. I went in about 6:00 and was told that they would be open to 8:00 p.m. I took a picture of the price per pound before I left, then returned at 7:00 p.m. The cashier met me at the door, standing in the door (a gesture of not welcoming me in). I was surprised because it was 7:00 p.m. Well, they decided to close early. The message I felt was that you are not welcome because we have decided to leave early. I am not sure that I would have presented in this way to a paying customer or anyone else for that matter. Especially, when I told her I would return before 8:00 p.m. She then allowed me to enter and called for someone else to help me. This individual who may have been the manger or owner immediately looked at the fish I handed her and said "you know this is going to be $150.00." My response was that I looked at the price list an hour ago it was much less than that for 1-2 lbs of salmon to be sent by Federal Express. She then recanted stating "I said around 150.00." She did not say "around." Even had it been $150.00 did she somehow perceive that I could not afford it? She invited me to follow her to weigh it, I did. It weighed 1.5 which equates to 2 lbs shipping cost of $116.09. I am a psychotherapist and try not to read too much or make assumptions, too quickly. However, I felt un-welcomed and somewhat derailed by these interactions.

Ordered some halibut for my Dad for Father’s Day. We live in Florida and visited Alaska years ago. He was so excited when it came and it’s perfect. I ordered the package with halibut and cheeks they were perfectly packed and came even faster than expected. 6/2020. Shipping was included. So from Florida thank you and I will for sure order again and tell everyone I know !!!!

Excellent service and really clean. Lots of staff who are ready to help. We stopped by their main location ( next to subway) to ask about pricing and options. The long auburn haired lady helped us figure out the options for processing, vacuum pack and freeze. She also mentioned that they do anchorage airport drop offs every Tuesday and Friday. Shipping a 15 lb box to seattle costs around 150$. However, if you have them hold it in their freezer for a few days, then drop off at the airport freezer- it costs 45$. You can then take that box and check it in as baggage directly (30$) and pay airport freezer fees for however long the airport holds it at 10-12$ a day- which is much cheaper than overnight shipping. They don’t mention this option at the dock location for capt jacks nor do they ask you about whether you want the skin removed or the different parts labelled( halibut cheeks) etc. all these are options but you are rushed with minimal info at the dock, so do your homework. I wish we had remembered to dock for the labelling when we paid at the dock after our sport fishing charter. Also not sure how much they actually charge for the airport drop-off or holding it in their freezer - my guess is around 30-40$ as that was part of the total cost after vp and freezer. I personally liked the service at the retail location better. Despite the rush- if they took a few mins to share options at the dock, they would be hands down the best. Currently there are other options close by but we didn’t price compare as we didnt have time and the retail location staff was super friendly and informative.

I have ordered king crab from captain jacks for years. This is by far the best crab you can get. We always order red crab or colossal. They are not inexpensive but well worth every penny. We made the mistake once of ordering from a different company. Never again!!! This will always be our go to. Also we love helping a small local business!

I recently ordered 10 LBs of Premium Red King Crab from CaptainJacks for my. Daughter's birthday dinner. I used my Paypal account. When I received the acknowledgement email I didn't take the time to open it as the subject line told me that they received my order. When I didn't receive my order, I went online and discovered it was sent to an old address in another state. My fault-not theirs. I called and they jumped into action, They got a hold of FEDEX who retrieved the package, put it in their freezer and delivered it today (still frozen)! Captain Jack's management and staff were super nice and went beyond to make me a happy customer.

I have been buying Alaskan seafood from Captain Jacks for about 10 years, the quality is excellent and the customer server has always been fantastic. Stephanie has helped me in the past, and since I started ordering from Captain Jacks, for Christmas, and Birthday gifts for my father-in-law, father, and uncles, my brother-in-law, who live in Skagway started doing the same thing. We ordered several clusters of Wild Alaskan Bairdi Snow Crab for New Year's Eve 2016. The long box arrived on time and once we opened, we were very pleased that these were extremely well packaged! In a word: SCRUMPTIOUS!!But I can't stop with one word: These are the most succulent tasting, and largest snow crab I've seen in the heart of America (Kansas City.) Had to fly them in from Alaska but they were enjoyed here. Highly recommend Captain Jack's Seafood Locker. Bravo!

I’ve ordered wild salmon from here for several years, the quality has always been amazing and the service prompt. We simply don’t buy salmon anywhere else. Trying some halibut this time, hope wife and daughter don’t fall in love as it’s expensive.

After a successful 3 hours of fishing, more like an hour because of travel to and from, we needed to do something with it all. We brought our limit of sea bass and silver salmon that had already been filleted (seabass) and with the salmon we took a few heads and roe sacks as well. Our suspicions had been confirmed that people weren’t catching, except for a few charters as they are the main processing place for charter catches, but nowhere near our drop off for 6 people. We dropped our catch off (3 hours out the water and already fillet) here to be cut into 1lb pieces, vacuum sealed, flash frozen, packed for shipping to Anchorage for transport. Since we didn’t fly out for a few days they were stored at Anchorage’s freezer locker at the airport (arrivals gate 4, baggage claim 2)This process was seamless and took a day for turnaround. We had 3, 15 lbs packages shipped across the country because the jump to 25 lbs was pretty massive and they went out same day. We had 48lbs packed for us and ate the rest. The price for packaging and freezing was actually pretty good and if you bring in a good charter yield it saves hours and hours and hours of work and ensures freshness. You can’t really freeze that much fish (90+ pounds post fillet) in a regular fridge, chest freezers work better, but take way longer. If only they deboned the fish (hmm?) that would be a pretty penny.

If you're looking for fresh, quality seafood, Captain Jack's is where it's at! I ordered their king crab legs and they arrived way before expected! My family is from Boston and even they said it was the best seafood they've ever had. I highly recommend!!!!

Ordered online for a specific date, received confirmation of the order by email for that date, crab never arrived. In fairness they offered 25% off my next order and credited my account but a much anticipated dinner with guests was not to be.

I called and asked their stock and they told me only frozen seafood sold there and they said they are the only seafood market in town, which is a total lie because we went to the other place bought fresh sockeye salmon like we wanted.I won't recommend this place because I myself don't do any business with liars.
