Absolutely enamored with my experience at Linwood Bar! Nestled by the gentle harbor, this place is more than just a dining spot - it's a soulful experience. The view of the sparkling harbor waters complements the menu like the gentle waves complement the shoreline.But the true hero of Linwood is the food, with their Linwood Burger taking center stage. A culinary masterpiece, each bite is a melodic blend of flavors that dances on your palate. The perfectly grilled patty, topped with fresh and flavorful ingredients, is a tribute to what a burger can and should be.The Caesar Salad was a symphony in itself, with crisp greens and a dressing that was a delicate embrace of tangy and creamy. Each forkful felt like an affirmation of freshness, quality, and taste.What elevated the whole experience, though, was the ineffable charm of the view. Sitting there, enjoying my meal, the harbor's serenity lulled me into a peaceful trance. Nice deck overlooking the harbor. We stopped in for a six pack to go. Not bad price for a small town. $17 for 6 Alaskan Amber. Pretty much only place open after 6pm.

Waited over two hours for our food (a salad and a pizza). After our initial order, our server never checked in with us. We saw table after table get their food while we were completely ignored. I had to walk to the bar to ask about our food to get to an update.Our server then blamed the printer and her kitchen staff for the delay. No apology offered. I think she was drinking on the job.

Only one waitress, very long wait , felt forgotten when we seated ourselves. Never got a menu so just ordered a large pepperoni pizza to go and 2 cokes. We got the bill and it was $40! Pizza was almost burned only had three slices 😭. Was very disappointed by our experience in Seldovia. Not much open and didn’t feel businesses were prepared for number of tourists getting off boat. Felt I was an inconvenience rather than a welcomed guest.

Service was non existent, everyone who was seated on the deck were all complaining that there was no service and had to go into the bar to get their own drinks, we wanted food and had to go inside and make an order, the waitress just wanted to hang out at the bar and tend to the locals only, made us feel like we were bothering her by being there, worst service I've ever had anywhere. Only time she came outside was to clean tables and ignore everyone else who was sitting outside. Why give people menus if you don't care to help them? 🤷‍♀️

We flew in today for dinner. Fresh halibut has just arrived so we ordered the fish and chips. We enjoyed our meal and the view of the harbor was outstanding. Thank you to Stephanie and the staff for a good experience. We will be back. Also, it is nice to see the Beyond burger and black bean burger as options on the menu. We hope you are able to keep them on there.

Food is so so. Can't find workers in Seldovia. 1 young woman is the cook, waiter and bartender. Right now there are only two things on the menu... deep fried chicken strips or wings. And then there are salads... but had none in stock. The little town of Seldovia is going to have a loooonnng winter.That being said, the Linwood has been in Seldovia for almost forever. It is a VERY important part of the community. This review was written due to my surprise, as I waited for the Tusty loading. I was sad when I found out that the only employee was multi-tasking.I have eaten there many times and had good burgers and salad. It was sad that there were no one who could be hired, but understand that it is a tiny town. Small towns in Alaska, where I have lived for 53 years face big changes every winter. I know that we will eat there again. Especially, since it IS the only game in town for the winter. Thank you for being there.

What a fun place to celebrate my birthday. Tasty burger and some of the best clam chowder, ever. Friendly people from all over. But of course.....I rang the bell! And who can forget Jazzy Jaz (?sp) our wonderful bartender who kept the great drinks flowing. Can't wait until next year.

The burgers and pizza are outstanding!!! The owner makes her hamburger buns from scratch daily - they are so delicious! Service was outstanding and all the staff are very friendly. Charming and comfortable bar with delicious onion rings and super friendly staff. Their fish is really good too! Definitely recommend getting an Arctic Apple Ale with your dinner.

This is the place to spend an afternoon when you are not fishing, biking, hiking or anything outdoors in Seldovia. Beyond the fact that the food is really good, the people that work there really seem to enjoy themselves, which in turn is reflected in their great service.I would recommend ordering the Chicken Picanté pizza while sitting in the terrace sipping a nice cold beer. I had an amazing time there with a very welcoming staff, and look forward to returning on my next visit.
