My stay at Between Beaches was a perfect extended weekend escape away from the Anchorage winter grind! Nestled just a quick boat ride from the Homer Spit, this unique beach getaway hits a sweet spot with its blend of rustic charm, comfort and breathtaking views.What truly makes Between Beaches stand out is it's incredible host, Kristi. Her family's rich fishing history and deep connection to the property come alive through her captivating stories. Kristi, an artist herself, has adorned the place with her unique artwork and installations, creating an atmosphere that is both special and distinctive.The cabins are a haven of coziness, equipped with simple essentials and boasting breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness. Such a beautiful place! Kristi was very welcoming and helpful. We had such a lovely stay. Great location; we saw starfish sand dollars, otters, bald eagles, and so many bird! Would highly recommend this place and will be staying again.Nearby activities: We loved having access to kayaking to paddle around the bay. We brought bike to cycle the beach!

My family and I recently had the joy of staying at Between Beaches, and I must say, it surpassed all our expectations! As someone who grew up in Homer, I've always cherished exploring Kachemak Bay. But discovering Between Beaches was a whole new experience – it’s a gem that both visitors and locals should not miss. Kristi and her crew have infused each cabin with so much attention to detail and love, creating a truly magical atmosphere. We had the delightful opportunity to invite friends over who joined us on their boat, turning our stay into an unforgettable gathering. I was so lucky to be able to spend many weekends at Between Beaches this year and have never experienced such a beautiful place before! You are constantly reminded throughout you day by an eagle overhead or an otter out in the bay! Paddle boarding through the bay on a beautiful calm summer day with crystal clear water down to the star fish is something I can never forget!I highly recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Alaska along with incredible experiences like sitting in a wood fired hot tub looking out over the ocean to a sunset over volcanoes.

This was a perfect spot to decompress after a hectic phase at work. The long beach in front of the cabin is an easy walk and ends at a rocky outcrop where four eagles circled overhead and otters and seals played in the waves. The front view across the bay to Homer changed constantly , sometimes clearing up to reveal the majestic range of volcanos far in the distance. The bay side of the spit was quieter with a view across to a closer mountain range , and a gathering spot for groups of otters and ducks of all kinds. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to reconnect with nature …. the sauna and hot tub with a view over the waves are not to be missed !

Amazing location, friendly and hospitable staff and lots of fish!Stayed in the Cannery cabin. Lovely, cosy cabin which was spotlessly clean. An unreal location for fishing, kayaking and spotting wildlife. We saw bald eagles galore, porpoise, whales and bears.Would highly recommend a stay here, enjoy the good fishing, friendly staff and the peace and quiet.

Staying at Between Beaches had been on my want list for a year, and it did not disappoint.The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We loved the reclaimed items used as decor, and the special touches that made it welcoming.The location is absolutely gorgeous. Even though the weather was stormy we could still watch the eagles, loons, sea otters, and seals from our cabin windows. I can only imagine how much more beautiful it would be on a bright sunny day.Krista has created a true nature lovers oasis and I can't wait to visit again.

Stayed in the Pioneer Cabin for two nights and three days. If you are wanting the ultimate Alaska glamping experience this is it. Wonderful private cabins with all you need for your Alaska beach get away. You are literally straddled between two absolutely gorgeous beaches. We literally explored one beaches tide pools and found sand dollars among other tidal treats and then later walked over to the other beach to gather steamer clams and muscles for dinner. The fires under the midnight sun are spectacular! Kristi is the most amazing host and made our stay perfect. She had a surprise for us on our last day where we got up and close to some majestic bald eagles. Total bucket list. This place has it all. By the way Kristi is an amazing artist. Check out her Alaska pottery art or create a one of a kind with her and fire it in her kiln. Definitely 110% worth the stay. I will be back for sure.

The Between Beaches “Beach House” was the perfect place to take my visiting family! The house was so roomy and perfect for family dinners. The decor was so thoughtful with beautiful ocean touches and amazing views throughout! There was something for everyone - beach walks, kayaking, camp fires and a hot tub! It was a great way to show a beautiful area of Alaska and everyone had a relaxing time! Kristi’s art gallery is a must and Lachlan was so helpful.

Between Beaches is my all time favorite getaway. My time there is spent tide-pooling, kayaking, paddle boarding, beachcombing, bonfires on the beach, fishing, relaxing in the hot tub or sauna..all with an unforgettable view. I will be forever thankful for the space that Kristi has created.Each cabin is unique and charming in its own way. You will never find another place like Between Beaches.It is truly a treasure. I already can’t wait to go back!

Two days of absolute bliss. Just a 30 min water taxi from Homer. We brought some light eats, couple bottles of wine and a few meals to cook on the grill. Spent mornings tide-pooling the beach and evenings by the fire watching the tide return. We'd never seen so many bald eagles fly above us all at once. It was a truly magical experience I would undoubtedly return for again.

Visited last June of 2022. Literally one of the most beautiful locations I have ever been. Cabins were so clean and had everything we needed. Literally not a single bad view on either side and wildlife was everywhere. Owner is an artist as well and you can tell. She has obviously taken a lot of pride in creating a beautiful and unique experience for all her visitors. Highly recommend for couples or families.

Between Beaches is an absolutely magical retreat in a magical location. Uniquely situated on a thin spit of land that affords you a stunning view of both Kachemak Bay and Kasitsna Bay in a gorgeous part of Alaska. You soak in mountains and volcanos near and far, the delightful ocean, sealife and birds, gorgeous wildflowers and a very interesting rock landscape. These are very special cabins with incredible attention to detail. Each cabin is meticulously crafted with beautiful antique decorations that are tastefully done. It’s a very photogenic landscape, not just the scenery, but what Kristy, the owner has created is just a joy to view. From Japanese glass fishing floats, to ceramic art made by Kristy, to bedding that is top notch. There is lovely sauna, hot tub, Adirondack chairs for each cabin both on the beach, with wood to have your private beach fire, and chairs and hammocks near you cabin too. Beyond the scenery and buildings and art, you experience a lovely staff that know hospitality at it’s finest. Gracious, helpful and friendly. Don’t miss this gem of a spot. Kayak, beach walk, tide pool, bring a good book, and just unplug for a few days. A hidden treasure.

Between beaches - my short stay was so stunning, wholesome with plenty of activities to keep my partner and I very happy. We had fresh Halibut on the bbq with gorgeous sunset views from our cabin (tidepool). Catching fish from the kayak was the highlight of the trip!

Staying in the Beach House cabin was the best, most refreshing and cozy vacation I have ever had. How do you describe paradise? This is the best of Alaska. My Granddaughter and I have been many times and everyone of them has been an amazing experience. We have fished, berry picked, hiked the lava rocks at the end of the spit and relaxed watching amazing sunsets with volcanoes as the background. Don't miss coming across Kachemak bay to see Alaska's off the beaten path beauty.

Between Beaches was a magical experience! We rented the Beach House for a 40th birthday family getaway and it ticked every box. Beautiful property, lots of fun exploring and wildlife. The care takers, Jade and Nate, were attentive and friendly. Kristi the owner was bouncing around, continuing to create the vision for this cool peek into Alaska maritime life and history. Wonderful communication from booking till the time we left. We live in Alaska and are always looking for local adventures, this was one for the books! Visited Between Beaches Alaska in September 2022 & it was nothing short of fabulous. Kristi combined her childhood, her parents, luxury, and wild together for an unforgettable vacation spot. Every detail was thoughtful to the point it looked natural. Her art is a reason to visit in itself. We recieved the friendliest and most accommodating service from Nate & Jade, and had a wonderful conversation on the beach with Kristi. They made sure we felt at rest, had everything we needed, all while leaving us on our own to relax, explore, and adventure. The sunrise and sunset private beaches were perfect for an early coffee or evening glass of Moët!

We had a great stay at Between Beaches for our 6th anniversary! What a spectacular place. The cabins were neat and cozy, the hot tub and sauna were a perfect way to relax after a day of kayaking, and the setting is one of a kid. The beach is just a few steps from the cabin doors both infront and behind the cabin. Thank you Kristi for taking such good care of us. Your artistic touches and attention to detail make it such a special place. We hope to visit again someday, and see the new Beach House completed. It would be perfect for the entire family.

We knew that Kristi's place was special which is why we booked it. But we were absolutely blown away when we saw it in person. Between beaches is absolutely MAGICAL, no other word to describe it. Stunning nature, stylish design of the cabin, thoughtful touches everywhere. Kristi and her son are both a pleasure to chat with and were very helpful through out our stay. The most beautiful, breathtaking place I have ever stayed. I felt like I was in A fairytale. Peaceful, serene and breathtaking views both out front and in the back. This storybook accommodations is second to none. Kristi the host is gracious and polite. Her artwork is unique and makes the decor memorable. Clean and modern. A perfect place for a getaway retreat.
