Mike and Kevin were exactly the dog sled guys we hoped we would find. Not a big commercialized company with tons of guides, just the real deal. It was my husband, my 3 boys 8, 10, and 12, and myself and they made sure everyone had fun. They were both very knowledgeable about Alaska, the dogs, history of dog sledding and you could feel their genuine love for the sport and the dogs. It was a very affordable tour for the whole family and they don't rush you out afterwards. They provide hot cocoa and hang out with you while you warm up. My kids played with the dogs until it was time to leave and enjoyed their time so much they are asking if we can go back to say goodbye before we leave Alaska. Definitely a tour you want to take while in Fairbanks.

Such a memorable and wonderful experience! We love the fact that Michael cares for his dogs as his family. He showed us an amazing time with his pack and we would love to stop by again in the future when we return to Alaska. Mike was great! He gave us a run down on how to control the sled and my fiancé and I were able to take turns driving/riding in the dog sled. The trail was beautiful and the dogs were so excited to get on the trail. Definitely an authentic experience that I would recommend highly!

This adventure was hands down the most amazing winter experience I have every had. Mike loves these dogs and made us feel like we would have a great time. He was ready and waiting for us when we arrived and got us right onto the trail with no time wasted. The dogs are well trained in doing their job on the trail and provided us with a smooth trip. Mushing through the forest in the snow was better than any storybook picture I could imaging. Worth every penny!

Mike was accommodating, was able to fit us in the next day. We learned how drive the sled, the dogs were wonderful and excited to run. I got to see the puppies and got tackled by almost a dozen of them so obviously it was the best day of my life. Highly recommend, you won’t regret it.

Loved this experience that created a lifetime memory wth my wife. Musher Mike is so passionate and has great stories that added to the trip. The dogs are so excited and well trained it was amazing. You have to go a bit to get there but found a great gift shop on the way (Knotty Shop) and stopped at the North Pole for pictures and Santas Workshop shopping.

One of the best experiences I had. Mike lives down the road of us and we moved into the Salcha area a year ago, and can't believe we waited this long to dog sled. Mike was very informative about his job and his love about the dogs. I will be a returning customer for now on!!!

Dogsledding is definitely the highlight of my Alaska trip. Our host Mike is very friendly. He took our last minute reservation, and it turned out to be such an unforgettable experience. Honestly I was a bit hesitant at first because I wasn’t sure if this is good for the dogs. However, when I saw them, I realized that the doggies were quite excited to get on the ride and they enjoyed running on the snow. They are just so cute!

This is such a special experience that I haven’t expected because we booked one before but got canceled when they say the snow was not enough to do dog sledding. But fortunately, I was recommended by a local guide and he said please choose mike if you want to drive your own dog team. It turns out we made the right choice and couldn’t imagine how much fun we had and the view is also fantastic. So if you are ready for a unforgettable experience, please call mike.

We had a fabulous experience at Trail King. We had a 1-hour ride. The price was reasonable and we got to drive the sled ourselves!! Riding the sled was so fun! My boyfriend and I switched midway. The view was AWESOME! Our tour started at noon time. the light was great. We were riding among the trees first and then it suddenly opened up. Highly recommend! Wear warm clothes though. It was soooo cooold.

Never would I have imagined I would be doing this activity in my lifetime. Now after doing it, I would recommend this to everyone visiting Alaska. Mike was so amazing, knowledgable and inviting! His dogs were just great. They were excited, healthy and all-in-all, well taken care of. He communicated so well from the moment I initially called him all the way up to the date of our trip (and afterwards). Mike will definitely see me again the next time I make a trip back to Alaska!
