They have a great selection of dog food, treats, toys and so much more. We love the Holistic brand with Salmon. At our last visit while we were in check out our little bella picked out a dried salmon skin and had her teeth into it real quick, so she got a little something extra. Great customer service as always!

It's not just a feed warehouse it's a legitimate pet store (PetZoo sign on the front next to Animal Food Warehouse). Has everything and anything you could ever want or need for your dog, cat, horse, bird, ect. Tons of parking and easy to see from the road. Prices are reasonable.

Helpful staff most of the time! The prices are either really high or really reasonable for certain items. They have a great selection for livestock such as poultry, bovine, equine, and more! I enjoy their feed selections available in full size feed bags. They also sell hay and straw. One of their employees really doesn’t seem to be very friendly and seems to be unhappy with most everyone.

I LOVE this store 😍. It not only is always well stocked, as much as possible with supply issues, it also has a frequent buyers program that pays me to shop there with accumulated money off points and a frequent buyers program that gives away bags of feed after x amount of purchases, win, win. The employees are very nice, efficient, and helpful. I've shopped there for years for all my pet and animal food.

Good dog food selection but limited on livestock supplies. More expensive than any other ranch or petstore. Dog yard is kept nice and they sell local eggs.

I wish they had more common brand varieties of cat litter (always unscented) but it was a nice store. Wish they had more cat toys just as much as dog toys but still they had some good brands. I enjoyed this place

I have gotten my pets food here with my parents since I was young and now with my husband for our four fur babies! Love this place and their staff are always so welcoming, courteous and knowledgeable. Selection is impeccable and a liiiiiitle pricey but there are affordable options that are still quality food for your pet! It’s got a great rewards program too!

I always appreciate their loadout crew in the warehouse who are happy and on the spot with my bulk purchases.Inside, the staff is informed and helpful with new product purchases, suggestions, and help with past order replication.They do not have everything but they have enough that they are usually my first and only stop necessary for our pets and livestock.

We made our first visit to Pet Zoo in Palmer yesterday and purchased a hay/grain feeder for our Nigerian Pigmy Goats. We were very pleased with our experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable compared to other pet businesses. We will be returning when we are in the area. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.

Used to be our favorite store to get pet and livestock supplies… We are top dog reward members and have been for years… The Palmer/Wasilla Highway location has gone down hill employee wise. What used to be a cheerful and helpful crowd has now become a group of uninterested and poor examples of customer service… Have tried to support local business like this but will now hit the big chain stores for at least it is not a discouraging experience

We have gotten our pet feed from AFW/PetZoo for the last 10 years and absolutely love the local business.The friendly and helpful staff has kept me coming back and the genuine care when we have questions or concerns about food and diet changes.The kids were excited when we remembered we needed to get dog and cat food and it happened to be their anniversary sale a couple weeks ago, with all the fun games and prizes.

This is a great store if you need higher grade dog food or other pet feeds. I found the quality to be well above what I needed. They were also hosting a livestock animal swap on the Saturday that I visited. Maybe a third of the cars parked there were from people looking to socialize their dogs in the enclosed dog park. Maybe there was a training session taking place? Anyhow, I only ranked it four stars because I didn't find a need to return in the future because if prices.

Pet owners in the Valley would be lost without this place. There are great specialty feed shops and then there's Petco, but this location and the one in Wasilla fill a huge gap between those other two options.

This is the place to go for duck and farmers chicken eggs. They have so many variety and plenty of them in the summertime. That is the best part of my life living in Alaska is eating duck eggs.Staff are amazing, friendly and happy to talk to their customers.To buy eggs you have to pay cash only for the individual farmers, it's hard to find exact change most of the time. But the staff are so helpful they will make the change for us.

I stopped by to get a live snack for my girlfriend's son's snake. I Aldo wanted to look into some shampoo for my, right until they get a bath, semi yellow white dogs. The woman that was working there was stalking products on shelves and she had another customer come in that went up to the register so she helped her and then we started talking she kind of helped me look at some shampoos and a couple other things and then I asked her about the mice coming in let me know that you didn't have any live mice there. LOL but I was okay with that. I was pleased what's the outcome of gaining some knowledge it is very helpful Pleasant trades that's why I give it five stars

Well darn it, we called and were given the wrong information - needed chick starter, had stopped by previously and they were out, called to check in advance, were told they had it back in stock, drove 45 minutes to get there, only to learn no, they still didn't have it. Other than that, it is nice to have an animal feed option in the Valley. Unfortunately other pet stores beat them in customer service and return policies - said for both the Anchorage and Valley stores - I want to support locally owned darn it.

I would like to recognize Kathy for her expertise and excellent customer service. And although I haven't seen Tyler my last few trips through the warehouse I would like to recognize him for his impressive skills specifically loading me up with hay. I consider myself a master at my packing abilities but Tyler topped my skills when he was able to perfectly fit 13, that's thirteen bales of hay into my Suzuki SX4 hatchback without cramming or damaging or even scratching the inside or outside of the car, all the doors shut easily so it wasn't like he ram pack stuffed the thing. So two truly impressive employees and outstanding people, Kathy and Tyler of Palmer Petzoo's Animal Food Warehouse located on the Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.

Great place! We called from 50 miles away and they reserved the pet meds we needed so we could just walk in, pay, & leave. The store is kept very clean & the staff is courteous & friendly.
