A one-stop store in a small and quiet town of Nenana that is known for their yearly Nenana ice classic guessing game. (It's such a cool game, and it's surprising that it was widely participated throughout the states.) This town is big in tradition, and this 107 year old store is keeping up with it. I am a fan of anything or anyplace that remained in existence for 100 years or more. This means that whatever that is, it stands the test of time. The store not only has the basic necessities to sell but more (a bit of almost everything), which is really surprising. I remember growing up buying from " variety stores " and this reminds me of those days when we only need the very basic, and yet we live happily and contented. The mural painted at the building's front facade is so eye-catching, but don't forget to go inside the store to be surprised by what you can see and buy.

This is a great little store is a historic place, with a variety of goods. They have souvenirs, food, necessities of all kinds,, and a sandwich shop, bakery, and pizza shop right in the back of the store. There seems to be guest artists selling their art (paintings, photos, other artistic stuff) in a small space just outside the old historic office. There is a small hardware area too.

Do you know how cool it is to walk into a village market and find a bakery in the back? With coffee and donuts and candied nuts too? I do now, after stopping at Coghills when the mural on the outside wall caught my attention. I was so charmed by the place, I bought a raffle ticket for the Nenana Firemen’s event coming up this Saturday, June 19th. I hope they raise a lot of money.

We stopped in here on our way to our last destination to Fairbanks on our Princess Alaska cruise / land tour. Our tour bus driver Rodney told us that the cinnamon rolls were the best he'd ever had and that we must get one. Well, my husband and I bought one to share, because they are huge. Rodney was correct, they are delicious. So, if you ever stop here, get a cinnamon roll. They are delicious.

Its a supermarket in a small town. They have everything, from packaged food to hardware & from grocery to handicrafts. Store opens very early in morning. This store was a pit stop for one of the package tour of Northern Alaska tour company.

Stopped here briefly on a bus to Denali. Lots of options cinsid5the location. Friendly people and good food. There were home-made pastries that looked really good too.

Great place to visit. Old time general store. Nenana is a small town on the Tanana river. Home of the Ice Classic.

In Alaska, towns are few and far between. When you find one and stop in the local market, it's like a gold mine. This place was great. They seemed to have at least one of everything. Friendly folks with not out of this world prices. Many local options as well. Definitely stop here.

Good place in a small town and the owners are nice good people. Been living here and if they don't have something you want just ask and they will try and get it for you. Ideally if you live here.

It's not a walmart. But can save you a trip to fairbanks. Food enough for basic meals, and snacks galore. A limited hardware section, and a helpful owner.

Marilyn coghill is a godsend for our little town. Provides groceries,hardware,knick-knacks,souvenirs ,a liquor store,and more....without her some of us would not get by. Locals are aloud to charge purchases which saves most of us because this is not a wealthy town by any means...saves the drive to Fairbanks more often than not.

A little bit of everything is available at Coghill's: groceries, hardware, meat, clothing, hunting & fishing licenses...In Nenana since 1916, it is a hub of the town as far as knowing what is going on in town.
