We always have excellent service from every employee we run into. Recently in Kenai, we made a long drive from Homer to pick up equipment that we were told would in our big SUV.....It didn't.Noel, in customer service was wonderful. With Robert going above and beyond, recruiting a team with Dan and Steve, they came up with a new plan. Doing extra work, working as a team, using creative thinking, they loaded a giant beast that just barely fit, into the back of our rig. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!! Excellent employees! All done with skill, smiles, and great customer service! THANK YOU!

Really enjoy our small-town Home Depot! The employees who work there are always personable and if they don’t know the answer to something they have no problem going to ask someone else for help. The store is always clean! They may not have everything in stock all the time, but cut them some slack we live in Alaska lol. We’ve gone and gotten everything from; paint, lumbar, chicken coops, plants, soil, and house cleaning supplies…they kind of have it all! My husband and I enjoy our trips here. There is always lanes available for checkout or the self-checkouts go super fast. If you need to get some supplies for any kind of project definitely check out our local Home Depot. Also I really love their nursery section!

Good selection of building materials and with spring just around the corner plenty of gardening essentials are available. Plenty of grow lights in stock as well as a variety of smokers ranging from pellet feed to propane.

I've reluctantly spent tens of thousands of dollars here. Most workers are great. Problems is orders are consistently misplaced, incomplete, delayed, or damaged. Be sure to get the name of whoever you deal with for anything, because no one else will be able to tell you what is going on.

By far the best home Depot I have ever shopped at and I'm a builder and I have been in hundreds of home Depots all over the lower 48 states and every one in Alaska and I worked for the family and I didn't like the store I worked at nor half of the employees that I worked with were idiots and didn't know anything about anything that they were selling unlike the people that work at the kenai store I shop there every day several times a day and they always greet me with my name and a smile and they are knowledgeable about what they are selling and helpful they are by far the best home Depot and they are the model of what the company should be

Only home depot I have ever known to be closed by 8pm. Most are open until 10pm. Cant get anything with the store closed all the time.

Purchasing over 3k of appliances in store, the customer service from James was outstanding . Noel at the front desk, you are an asset to this company and Christine in special orders . You are the best part of this store. Your kindness and going above and beyond is wonderful.

Seems to have difficulty keeping things in stocks, and that's what they will actually stock. Wanted a 20x30 tarp and the only brands they stock are the most expensive ones in their online inventory. Way to show either sheer incompetence, or do your best to stick it to your customers

Absolutely avoid Home Depot at all costs, especially TJ who usually hovers around self checkout and abuses customers like your some sort of criminal, also prices aren’t updated, I bought propane which was advertised at $59.99 but was charged $70 without taxes, i will forever be going to spenards after the horrible experiences I’ve had at Kenai Home Depot.

Very well stocked most times, generally have what you’re looking for. Though as usual there’s only a few well informed individuals….the rest, well ya better know what you want and have an extra half hour or more just to wander around till you find it.

Went here yesterday to buy more than $2000 of materials for a project. I needed 4x6 20 footers and 6x6 16 footers, one of which was on a second level, and both of which are pretty heavy and hard for one person to wrestle into a cart. So I asked for some forklift help. Come to find out there was an hour wait for a forklift. I went up to the pro-desk and asked if I could get on the forklift list or whatever and go get some lunch. The young lady basically said no, if I left and came back and the wait was still an hour, I would have to wait another hour. I asked if they could pull this stuff for me and put it on a cart. Her answer was that I was asking for a will call and that would take three days. Every time she spoke to me it was like I was bothering her and when I said I would just go to Spenards she sarcastically said have a nice day. The whole time there's employees standing around. I don't know how they stay in business.

I recently had a very pore experience at the paint department, where a over aggressive and rudely condescending employee butted her nose into my wife and my conversation and instead we new nothing about our decision in painting our bathroom. I know that getting a decent employee to work for you is almost impossible but the home Depot should implement a customer service training program. Because this person should never be in the position of customer service. As I will never walk into that store again !

Bought a well pump in February, froze up and wouldn't work in October. It's warranty is 3 years. I call the company, get the code to get a refund as I had to purchase another and costed over 500$. Got there and was told they were putting my refund on a home depot gift card. When I declined, the guy became offended and I told him that was a scam and absolutely was not okay. Cost of the pump on the credit card acquiring interest and he wants to give me a home depot gift card. I stood my ground and he did eventually put the refund back on my card. Could have saved a lot of rudeness and stress had it took care of it from the beginning. I'll go elsewhere at this point.

Their phone line would be better disconnected. You can wait on hold for nearly an hour before being picked back up. Don’t bother calling, it’s a massive waste of time.Their in store service is great. People are knowledgeable and friendly

If I could give a zero, I would. The associates were courteous and helpful but way understaffed. I had to ask three times and wait 45 minutes to be helped in tools just to ask if they had something in stock. Each time I asked, I was told "some one will be right there". It was not an overly busy day, maybe 50 - 75 people in the store. Management needs to look at staffing appropriately to better meet the needs of their customers.

We waited for the door and window person for 40 mins. Finally go back up the customer service. She guarantees us Deb is there. We walk all the way back and she's randomly there and has another customer and can't help us. I'm with a 6 year old, if that helps explain my frustration level. Being rude to customers didn't help either. Deb.A couple other people came over to help but they were new or not in that department and were pretty much on the same "can read the label" level as I was. Were very nice, though.Don't waste your time going inside thinking it'll be easier because there's an associate there to help and answer all your questions. I ended up ordering the $1700 online to instore pick up.

On my most recent visit, the gentleman who worked in electrical was great. I would give just him 5 stars. However, I am rating the store. On most visits, I can walk around the store looking lost and receive no offers from sales associates to help. That is if I can even find anyone. Generally customer service at this store is nonexistent. However, in my area, there isn't much choice. I avoid shopping there if there is any other option. And, their prices are not always the best. In addition, I am retired military. Home Depot used to offer an Across the board 10% discount. No Longer. Lucky to get a discount on anything! LOWES still offers Across the board discounts. Whenever I have the chance, I shop elsewhere or at LOWES.

i have to drive 100 miles to go to this Home Depot. It is by far the worst Home Depot I have ever been to. They are continually out of stock on the most basic things. Because of the distance I drive I usually have a huge list, the last time I went I had 22 items on my list, they had 5 of them. My friend asked me to pick up some 1 x 2’s they were even out of that. They were trying to blame covid but it has been that way for three years.The customer service is appalling. I was looking for some electrical wire and asked for some help locating it. The guy didn’t know what it was and then told me I should call an electrician to do my wiring. Same thing in plumbing happened. Seriously! I have remodeled two houses and have done all the wiring and plumbing and when I sold my house the inspector complimented my attention to detail. I found the wire I needed at a small electrical shop, they sold it by the roll and foot because it is so common.I would get tired of driving all the way up there to get stuff I needed, I placed my order online and was told it would be ready by 9:00am. The order exceeded 4K. I arrived at 10:00am the order was not ready, they asked me to come back in next day, I explained that I placed the order online to save time and that it is 200 miles round trip. They said they would put the order together and come back in two hours. I came back in two hours and still not done. I walked around the store and saw shopping carts abandoned with what looked like part of my order. Then they only had part of my order, but wanted me to sign off on the rest. I said no, I will sign off on what I am taking today and when the rest is in stock I will pick it up. They offered to deliver it for $100. I ended up leaving Home Depot at 4:30.By the way Home Depot if a product is sold at another location, you SHOULD be able to order it to Alaska, are you not coming here with the products you normally stock?

Being a Veteran I expect discounting since they promote it so intently even having Veteran parking up-front. Behold no discount on lumber, and many more items. Not happy with this. Great lumber, straight, had them pick an order for us, great job. Wouldn't buy anywhere else.Very helpful staff, Micheal at returns was very courteous and assisted me. Kuddos to home Depot...

Lots of hired people with very few competent ones. I'll be doing more ordering online so I won't waste so much time in the store. Through a series of stupendous glitches it took four hours to walk out with a washer and dryer. It would take to long to describe every detail and I don't want to, we're home, healthy and we won't be going back! There are no -stars or it would be a -5.

Website shows items in stock that have NOT been in stock for months.Nobody answers the phone, quality of phone messages is atrociouslybad. Staff more concerned with gossiping among themselves, than actually helping the customer. Manager complained to me that he did not have enough staff to answer phones @ 6:15 AM.... WHAT??!!You get 1 star, because you managed to breathe on your own. Close down the store, run over to Wal Mart, and work as a greeter. You willneed extensive training for this job, as your business acumenis non-existent. Your store and employees are one big FAIL.
