Debbie in the Floral Department provides wonderful customer service! I was so happy to meet her last week as she helped prepare a flower gift which I needed to drop off as I went through town. It's so nice to receive personal service, in this automated age ❤️

Great service. Professional enough to do their jobs. Friendly enough to make you feel comfortable. Been shopping here for years. A few peeps turned out to be bad apples over the years, but they seemed to have been weeded out. I just wish the deli department had at least one person dedicated to serving their customers. I get that they have a job to do, but they're in the back a lot. And there isn't a call bell. So you'll just have to wait maybe 10 minutes for a corn dog.

The cashier Wilma didn’t like my son crying and had an attitude immediately my wife asked her to scan the cookies first. When I noticed she didn’t care I slid the cookies over the scanner, at that time the cashier then raised her voice an announced that she is responsible for everything scanned. I apologized and she continued to yell at me as I was a thief or something so I gathered my family an left. After leaving I called to inform the store manager and Michelle the Person in charge told me she was informed and not dealing with my issue, that I needed to call back another time.On a positive note this is the first bad experience I’ve had and I’ve shopped here for two years.

Our local Safeway is really awesome. The isles are always clean, shelves are always stocked. We have very decent folks who offer great customer service! One thing I really appreciate is the fact that if you sign up for their rewards card (free) you earn points to get money off of your gas! ⛽️ This has ended up saving us so much money! It is definitely worth shopping here as opposed to Walmart! I also really like the fact that they offer Alaska Grown items. We can actually buy local grown produce and even cheese here. That is something that makes it special is the ability to buy produce that was grown locally and didn’t spend a bunch of time and costs in transportation.

I'm tired of the lack of personality amongst the cashiers. No hello to start, no goodbye to finish just ring you up and off you go. Every 3rd or 4th might approach cordially if you initiate chat. Iwill say the efficiency at checkout is good and I never expect to chat but a little politeness brings the customers back.

Safeway in kenai has the BEST SUSHI! The gentleman who makes it has it stocked always! Very fresh, taste Amazing!!! Buy some! I buy the crunchy dragon roll every other day!

The spicy chicken and stir fried rice was served hot. The portions are very generous for the price (11.65). The chicken was a bit over cooked but very tasty.

They had everything I needed at very inflated prices. Single serving apple pies that I was buying at Walmart in Utah for 50 cents that are now 74 cents were 2.19 cents. If I lived here and needed more stuff, I would definitely try Walmart in Soldotna. For visitors from out of state they seem to proce gouge, but will do in a pinch. 4 stars only because of price. Store was clean and staff were friendly and helpful.

My experience with yesterday's Chinese food outing wasn't the greatest. I bought a Supreme Combo, had to get chow mein instead of rice, which I understand happens, but to only get maybe 6 to 7 pieces of chicken of the two types I asked for left me wanting more, for the 12.99 price. The server was very friendly though, and was the first time I had seen her, so might have been new.

Both Safeways in Kenai and Soldotna are fair. The Bakery and Produce in Kenai location has a phenomenal selection and freshness. While Soldotna has a amazing Deli and layout of items as well as lighting. If I could have a perfect store it would be to combine the different areas listed of the two.

I was really impressed when this store opened with improvements. There was a notable higher standard. All the easier to see now, as quality has fallen.The coffee area is hit and miss when it comes to cleanliness. Sushi used to be better than at a restaurant, but now the rice is dry... It's clearly aged.The employees are lovely people, most are really friendly! But something went sideways here.

I've lived in this town for nearly 30 years. This Safeway (Which I still cal Carr's occasionally) has the best staff of any grocery store I've been to. I've grown up with this place and these people. So it's Safeway, the items are overpriced unless you shop the deal. Best deli in town, great Asian selection. Very well stocked; you'll alway find what you need.

It was different then the ones I am use to in Anchorage but overall they had everything we needed. They had all the prepackaged veggies & fruits that I love buying (all cut up and are ready to cook or eat).

Update 11/5/22: this store needs a new cake decorating person.. my 8 year old granddaughter could of done and spelt words better than this..never again .. Deli had no salads..older store. Dirty.

Got all your fish, check. Need ice to get them home, this is the place. Plenty of room in the parking lot to make sure your nets and gear are all tied down for the trip back to Anchorage. Public bathroom is clean enough. Kenai is a smaller town and the people that work here are all nice as you would expect in a smaller town.

The young cashiers are rude,impatient. But spoke to the bosses and they correct the situation. Also! And this is horrible...After covid of 3 yr lockdown, there was a special get together of 50 people or so. I took a picture of a cake to be decorated. No problem was the 'decorators' response. I went to get it half hour before the party and omg!!!! My 10 yr old granddaughter could of did it. The spelling was wrong, words crambed together, smeared picture. Letters mismatched....never again!!!!!There is no way that she is a cake decorator! 😳 Ruined my gift for the party. She said she will just scrape the frosting off and use same cake for someone else! Well, heck, how many times was my cake redone ???Nope. Never again. And the so called cake decoratedr acted like I was the problem. Staff is horrible. Should of gone to Fred's.She needs to go back to school or maybe even go to school ! What n how did she even get hired as such???I cannot even post my comparison pictures as it was a private gathering. But the supervisor will see.Yea!! What fraud did this "decorator wanna be " lie to get this job?? Do not go there! Reused cakes??? Wow.

Gotten a lot nicer than it was 4 years ago. Definitely need the club card, and even then it's still slightly more expensive than most. Workers are a lot more helpful than most, and it was nice to see workers smiling.

The store is overcrowded under stocked and several rude employees. This is the Homer Alaska store. The Safeway in Kenai is 100% opposite. We only use the store for have to items, like bread and milk. Our major grocery shopping has done in Kenai Alaska and Soldotna Alaska. There I do not have to put up with rude employees an empty shelves. The Homer Safeway was initially set up for a small town and I have not grown with the times.

I love this store because the always have everything in stock. I however, wish they would somehow enforce their "mandatory" mask wearing policy. GCI does it, why can't Carrs? Almost no one wears a mask inside the store.

While placing order at the deli, we were deciding and the employee walk away and didn't come back. He was stocking the isle hot case, cooking chicken, and talking to other employee. The other employee finally came to take our order and while taking our order, (mind you I'm talking) he turns to a different customer that had just walked up, and helped her.
