Poorly cared for State lands, no rules ever enforced. Dune habitat is being destroyed and no one cares. Dumpsters are overflowing, place is a disaster.

You'll take a long drive down a paved road, and then you'll take a long drive down a very unpaved road. When you get to the end of the road you'll have a true Alaskan experience. The tide was out and it was mud as far as you could see, both up and down the coast as well as out to sea. Natives were pulling in their nets after a long night of catching their years supply of salmon. Talking with the native Alaskans was a fascinating and educational experience. We learned so much by taking the road less traveled.

Has the Kenai River has been overfished, people have pushed down to the kasilof. Now it is suffering from the exact same issues... Too many people, not enough fish, people coming from outside to take the resources indiscriminately.
