While the location is convenient and the owners are nice, I was disappointed in the amenities. Stayed for 4 nights and the bathrooms were clearly not cleaned contrary to the sign that said "cleaned daily." The bathroom trash was overflowing and the paper towel dispenser never worked. Also, online it said fire ring and picnic table at every site, but ours did not have one and we had to move one from an empty site. On another note, my childen enjoyed the playground and between our 2 sites, we had room to play games.

47 States and countless RV parks - this was the worst experience by far. Maybe this use to be a nice place but I believe it has new owners recently.Where to start. When we arrived nobody was in the office. Sign said they were doing chores. Rang the door bell that was there. Nobody. Called the number that was posted everywhere and the office phone rang. Eventually a friendly guy came in and said the person that ran the place was not there right now, they weren't really sure what to do, but did get us checked in. No big deal... Small hiccup. We arrived on a Saturday and there were a lot of weekenders there having fun. Again, no big deal. Live music next door ran until about 11pm. It was Saturday, no big deal.Sunday we get woken up at 6am from 2 young boys playing football right outside our trailer in the park road having a cussing match. Wasn't happy but shrugged it off.Monday we get woken up at 430AM! The same 2 young boys playing football and having a cussing match. Was not happy. Called the office. Someone answered, said they would handle it. My wife had to go out and tell them it was 430am and our bedroom was right there. They apologized and moved to behind our camper and played until about 6am.My wife went to the office once it was open and told them what happened. They apologized and said that was not acceptable. "Maybe they are adjusting to the time difference." Well, there are a lot of Alaskans that live in this park full-time, that is where the boys were coming from so we knew it wasn't a time difference thing. But the real kicker was when we went to do laundry (located in the office) and one of the boys was in the office because he was their kid!! So they just lied to us and it was the people running the place allowing their kid to go out and play in the park at 430am.1 load of laundry is $8 FYI. Also, there are no "riverside" sites. There is a half of the park that is CLOSER to the river that they will charge you extra for but nobody has riverside sites. There is a little part where anyone staying in the park can go down to the river.Would not stay again. This was the only bad experience we have had being in Alaska for 2 months now.

After reading the mixed reviews we decided to be optimistic and give it a try. We booked a deluxe waterfront site. There is nothing deluxe about the campground. We did have full hookups, but the water pressure was sporadic. The 30 amp breaker could not handle one air conditioner and the hot water heater. We had to put the hot water heater on gas to keep from tripping the breaker. The grass has not been mowed. There are no waterfront sites here. There were junk cars, a tree line out my back and the driveway out the front. Campers were on each side. I would not call that waterfront.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riverside RV & Camper Park in Houston, Alaska with my family, and I'm delighted to share how much fun my kids had during our stay. The park offered them a unique and exciting experience, particularly with the muddy river bank and the Central playground. One of the highlights for my kids was the muddy river bank. It provided them with a wonderful opportunity to unleash their inner explorers and embrace the joy of getting dirty. They couldn't resist the allure of the mud, and I was thrilled to see their imaginations come alive as they squished, splashed, and built their own mud creations. It was an adventure they'll remember for a long time. The Central playground at Riverside RV & Camper Park was another hit with my children. The well-designed playground offered a variety of engaging activities that kept them entertained for hours. From climbing structures and swings to slides and interactive elements, there was something for children of all ages. It provided a safe and enjoyable space where my kids could run, laugh, and make new friends. The fact that Riverside RV & Camper Park offers such diverse and exciting experiences for children is commendable. It's refreshing to find a place where kids can connect with nature, unleash their creativity, and engage in unstructured play. These experiences are invaluable in fostering their imagination, physical development, and social skills. While my kids were having a blast, I appreciated the natural beauty and serenity of the park. Being surrounded by the stunning Alaskan landscape added a touch of tranquility to our stay, allowing me to relax and unwind while my children played and explored.Although there were a few areas where improvements could be made, such as the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers, the positive experiences my kids had at the muddy river bank and Central playground overshadowed any minor inconveniences. It's clear that Riverside RV & Camper Park understands the importance of creating spaces where children can thrive and make lasting memories.Thank you, Riverside RV & Camper Park, for providing a haven of fun and adventure for my kids. Your dedication to providing engaging experiences in a beautiful natural setting is truly appreciated. We look forward to returning to your park for more muddy escapades and playful moments at the Central playground!

Meh. This is an ok location by the little su BUT it's in disrepair unfortunately. The pros: location is good, close to supplies and ice cream/coffee and the river. Full hook ups, trash, facilities.Cons: the septic smell is strong and unwelcome, sites are tight together but adequate, the playground is falling apart, dumpster is overflowing, the advertised WiFi is nearly useless, quiet hours were not enforced. We stayed and made the best of it, but I'll look elsewhere when planning the next weekend trip.

Nice lots for RVs and tents. Playground for children. Bathrooms were frequently clogged and some showers dismantled but parts left around. At night, even right next to the river, you will hear the Parks highway more.Walkability: very low traffic in the park, plenty of walking to do

Leslie, our host, was most gracious and helpful in getting us set up with a shady campsite close to the river. The park has plenty of full hook-ups including sewer. It’s quiet and right on the river. The bathrooms, showers and laundry room are the cleanest I’ve ever seen! And plenty of room in the bathroom (separate from the showers) and plenty of individual shower rooms. There were 8-10 washing machines and dryers and the laundry area was roomy. There was lots to do and see in Fairbanks and we ended up staying two extra nights beyond our original plan. Highly recommend this RV park!

Very nice campground. Lot size is nice and big with picnic and fire pit. They have wood to buy and an ice cream shop next door. My boys went fishing and I looked for rocks in the creek. Nice, quite and staff is helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone to stay here for sure.

Worst site so far in Alaska. Shower room was out of order, and the restroom was extremely disgusting. Kids running around till later than 12 AM, dogs start barking nonstop since 7 AM.We arrived late, but already did online checkin, and neither shower room code or wifi password was provided and we weren’t able to get ahold of the office since they already closed. To make it even worse, someone else parked at our site, and we had to park in another only available site. (Another campsite we stayed left envelopes with my last name on it when we arrived after business hours, and inside the envelope detailed site location and all other information needed)

Nice area to spend outside by the creek, great for dog walking. Very reasonable pricing spent only $210 for water, sewer, and electric for a week. $610 per month. The only down fall is we were placed right by the road and I woke up every hour of the night when big trucks drove by and people were too close for my liking. Free showers and WiFi was really cool. Overall an AMAZING campground for the price just really wish I was placed closer to the creek and farther from the highway.

Above and beyond service from the owner and the employees. Great for the family, everything you need in one spot. I recommend to anyone ever in life to spend time at this park. But remember to always keep 2 feet of slack on the end of your fishing pole to have the best experience of your life.👍👍

Las day of our 1 week RV trip and was a welcome site, kids had a playground and a few yard toys to keep them occupied while we were able to get much needed laundry done in the very clean laundry room and do a little fishing in the Little Su river adjacent to the property, the host was very friendly, kids already asking to come back. We will definitely be stopping in here on our next trip through.

The staff is very friendly. The place is pretty unique, thanks for the private access to a part of Little Susitna River. Electricity and water connections for RV campers. The showers are clean and there is an easy access to a laundry room. This is a great RV camp.

Right next to the river. Great facilities, power hookups, showers, and a garden with the best looking kale growing I’ve ever seen. Very special RV park, would definitely recommend. Three Bears is right across the road for supplies and an ice creamery shop is in premise.

Lots of dead firewood for fire and nice creek nearby. Water on tap was yellow looking. Wondered if it was drinkable. Needed a shower and wish we'd paid for only that and camped somewhere off the main highway. Although Husband's shower was cold in the evening, but mine was warm early in the morning. Didn't get much sleep. Wished I'd brought earplugs. Although it didn't help that it was Friday night on Memorial Day weekend when everyone was taking off in their RVs past us. Lots of stores locally and dog walking was nice with park nearby. Rowdy neighbors newrby the campground were having a domestic squabble about smoking in the wee hours of the morning. Wondered if police were needed. Owners friendly.

This is a great family friendly RV park with a playground full hook ups at every spot which include electric water and sewer along with access to showers, restrooms, Wi-Fi and laundry, picnic tables and fire rings/pits. Gazebos and right on the little Susitna river for fishing, boating, rafting or kayaking. They also have a no way dump station where they can dump anywhere between 3 to 10 people at a time I would recommend this to everybody I meet the owners and managers are great and friendly there is firewood on site one of the best parks I’ve ever been to.

Have to agree that Riverside does exist. My Wife and I stayed July 2, 2018. We enjoyed the park and the ice cream at the store next door. Hope to return again some day.

They are not kid friendly at all. New owner and he is a real peice of work. Don't come here if you have children! He is from AZ. and doesn't know how to treat Alaskans!

Place is a dump in my opinion, everyone is crammed in right on top of each other, your basically paying $30 a night to camp in a dirt parking lot with access to the creek, not my idea of camping.

We pull in to dump or tanks and fill up with fresh water. Everyone was friendly and the dump station was conveniently located in front.

This camping is rather expensive (40.- for full hookup) but the facilities are in good shape and every thing works as it is supposed to. Wifi reception is good even on the far side by the river.
