Outer Range Dogsled Tours is amazing!!!! Jeff was incredibly accommodating to our group of four and had great communication. We did the 2 hour dog tour with Jeff, Heather, and Jenn and loved every second of it!My husband and I road with Jenn, and she was incredibly delightful, sharing lots of stories and facts about the dogs, racing, and Alaska. We chatted the entire time.I’d **highly** recommend the 2 hour tour; the extra time allows you to go on an adventurous loop with views of Denali (the actual mountain!). The ride took the entire 2 hours, and the time flew by. 1 hour would have been too short for us.Seeing all of the gear and prep required for a sled run was very impressive! The setup and takedown required is extensive - 10 dogs per team, and they had 3 teams ready for us! 30 dogs! This is all done before and after the tour slot, but it makes you realize how much effort and time it takes for the guides to get their teams to the trail and ready to meet you.So, not only is the 2 hour time a great choice for your personal experience (being able to see more and have maximum fun), it also helps the guides’ and dogs. Moreover, the price (which from a couch at home might seem expensive) is very justified (and a great deal considering all of the knowledge and advice we gained)!!From a logistics standpoint, the instructions of where to meet were descriptive and easy to follow. When we arrived, the teams were ready to go. The dogs were clearly excited to be there and to start running. Heather did a check list with all of our members to ensure we had proper warm gear - anything that was missing, she provided. A major bonus were the toasty, warm mittens, WITH hand warmers already inside.The dogs are beautiful, healthy, happy, and super friendly!!! We were able to pet them and take photos with them before and after the tour, and during at the little stretch break.An absolute 10/10 experience!!!

Fantastic 2 hour dogsled experience for me and my wife with stunning views of the adjacent Denali Mountain Range. Well worth driving to Healy from Fairbanks. Jeff and Jen were the ideal guides/drivers...delightful, informative, accommodating. And they had all the extra gear required to supplement our own winter clothing. We highly recommend them.

The guides were just amazing, so friendly and helpful! :) Highly recommend to give it a try, one of the best feelings ever. It's obvious but the dogs are the goodest boys and girls and they deserve delicious treats <3

The dogsledding experience was amazing! Jen and Jeff are super knowledgeable about the dogs and sledding. The dogs are incredible animals and approachable. It was myself, my husband and two teens. Our picnic during our 4 hour sledding adventure was a pleasant experience — warm soup, crackers, hot chocolate in a beautiful setting. Definitely an adventure worth the money and time. Great experience!

Jen and the puppers were amazing! This was one of my favorite memories of my vacation to Alaska, and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in giving dog sledding a try! They have all the cold weather gear to make sure you stay nice and toasty on the tour and have apple cider or hot chocolate at the end.

Our group of four had a fantastic experience on this tour. Definitely one of the highights of our trip to Fairbanks. The guides were friendly, skilled, and knowledgeable and took us to a gorgeous location for our dog sled run. I highly recommend them.

Jeff and Jen were amazing guides! They had all the winter gear any tourist would need. We encountered no problems at all and it was a blast! We got to meet all the dogs and had all our various dog sledding questions answered. It was awesome, don't miss out!

Wonderful experience! The dogs are awesome and Jen was a great host and instructor. I did the mushing school tour and it was great. So much love and respect she has for her dogs. They all have such different personalities and she truly cares about each one of them. It was so awesome to "drive" the sled, but nice to kick back in the basket and take in the beautiful scenery.Stopped for a short "picnic" and drank hot chocolate, soup, wraps and yummy snacks.Highly recommended!

We had a blast! Do not hesitate to book Outer Range Dogsled tours! It will likely be the highlight of your trip to Denali. We had a bigger group, needing 4 dog sleds and our mushers Jen, Heather, Jeff and Jess were awesome! They were all great with kids and let them spend time petting the dogs and talking about mushing after our ride. It's evident they have a ton of experience as well as a deep love for their dogs and dogsledding. There was an outhouse at the site, and lots of gear to make sure we were warm in the sleds for an hour tour. Overall, you just can't ask for a better experience!

We had a party of 12 persons, ages 3 - 72, who had the good fortune of going out with Jen, Heather and Jeff in mid-February when it was cold, windy and snowy. We still talk about the wonderful adventure we had. Our hosts had great stories and experiences to share; they are amazing guides, and provided memorable experiences over the three days that we booked excursions with them. They offered additional layers of gloves, gear and blankets where needed; looked after the comfort and safety of all, especially the younger ones. The terrain that these guides traverse is spectacularly beautiful - it was a thrill to be out in these vast lands and lakes with experienced, knowledgeable guides who so clearly enjoy their work! Highly Recommend this particular Dogsled Tour!!

Heather, Jeff and their dogs are just AMAZING! Highly recommend spending as much time out sledding with them as you possibly can. They have mountains of experience, are incredibly accommodating, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, kind, etc etc. We took two sleds out with them and the whole experience was fantastic.

This was almost a last minute booking since another tour I previously booked got canceled due to lack of snow but Jen, my musher and tour guide was able to confirm quickly and gave me direction to the trailhead. The entire experience was absolutely amazing (my first time on a dog mushing tour). Jen was very professional and also an interesting person to talk to! It was a really windy day so she brought all the extra layers to dress me properly and checked on me regularly during the tour to make sure I stayed warm. The dogs were very friendly too and you will get some great opportunity before, during and after the tour to get to know them. Would love to come back for a multi-night trip one day. Highly recommended!

We had the best time and would absolutely recommend this tour over any others available in Alaska. Healy is beautiful in the winter and accessing it isn't difficult with how well the roads are plowed. We found this tour by happenstance when looking for dogsledding near Cantwell and it was absolutely worth it and would without a doubt be worth a drive from Anchorage or Fairbanks. The area we rode through is gorgeous, set right in between the mountain ranges of Denali. Jeff and Heather took my girlfriend and I on a half-day tour and were absolutely great company and excellent mushers and guides. We both learned a lot about the area, mushing, and the dogs from them and they were both so fun to talk with about any and everything on the tour. The price absolutely cannot be beat and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. A shorter tour would have certainly been a blast as well, but if you're looking to really get out and see some sights and enjoy the dogs and the area the half-day tour was perfect. Jeff and Heather both ensured that everyone was fully geared up and equipped beforehand and neither of us were ever cold or uncomfortable at any point. The dogs were great and very good boys. We will definitely be returning to Alaska as soon as we're able to and this dogsledding tour is a non-negotiable for any winter trip there.

Such an unforgettable experience! Stumbled upon the tour by accident online. We were so happy we didn't settle for the dog sled tours everyone else was signing up for! You won't regret it. The views are spectacular and the mushers are super friendly!
