Reselling products from Costco (likely from Juneau) with at least 50% premium. Also many products (especially food) are already after shelf life (I bought a fresh salad kit that’s a week after the “sell by” date). I understand that this is the only grocery option in town but that is not the reason they boost the price arbitrarily and ignore food safety.

I've never been there. Just read an article on ToshCo and the small community in The Hustle and how they're dealing with COVID 19 issues. What a great place. Hope to visit someday. I would love to join a photography class with Sean Neilson.

This is a main stay and life line for Gustavus. These folks didn't know me from Adam, but surely went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. They have all yhr basics AND many of the more advanced items one could need from basic consumer goods and groceries to hardware, nuts and bolts, engine fluids, paints, building hardware and tons of other things all for a fair price given the location and the trouble one would go through to get these items on your own. Also if there is anything specific that you need, bet that these folks are happy to help you out! Thanks for everything! I'll be seeing you guys next time around.

We stayed in a cabin down the street from this store during our trip to Glacier Bay National Park several years ago. We rode the cabin bikes here to buy something for dinner (frozen mac and cheese...:) As a long-time Alaska girl, it was fun to see my husband's reaction to a true Alaskan "grocery store" selling everything from frozen food to oil and chainsaws. The people here were fantastic, and I got to talk to a local who lived in town when my dad was here. I loved this place, both the town and store.
