We arrived not knowing what to expect.... When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with the facilities, and friendliness of the staff. The setting is very comfortable, and the food exceeded our expectations! Home cooked meals, along with homemade desserts. The fishing was fantastic, and the care of our fish was very professional!! A first class operation that will not leave you disappointed! This was one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken, and highly recommend this trip to others!! We definitely plan on returning in the future!

Eagle’s Nest Lodge was a huge disappointment. The only positive features were it’s location near the airport and boat dock and that it appears relatively new.Their personal service is nonexistent. We were required to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs to our room upon arrival and back down upon depending. They did not have our fishing license ready for us Up arrival. There is no bar available. The food was consistently disappointing, being mostly warmed prepared food from Costco or Sams. They never offered coolers of ice for our drinks for our fishing trips. They certainly never offered to carry our cooler of ice & drinks to the boat. The van drivers had the personality of a fence post, answering our questions with one word answers.They contracted the fishing out to Taylor Charters, which was the best feature of this trip. Taylor’s Charters and Captain Remo we’re excellent! Captain Remo worked hard to put us on great halibut and salmon. I highly recommend Taylor’s Charters for any Gustavus fishing trip.

Brue and I had a great time, this is the second year we have gone there, we are planning a trip back next summer. Kent, Matt and everyone their make sure that you get the best fishing guide and that you are very comfortable.
