The prices are mostly reasonable (for Alaska), but the shelves are often empty for products people frequently purchase. It is very difficult to find men's sweatpants in sizes medium and large. Sometimes, the shelves in the grocery section are not marked correctly. I was looking for rice; the sign was in one aisle, but the rice was in the next aisle over.

The Walmart super center is the best option if you’re looking for variety and good prices. The place has everything one can need. The freshness is excellent and the staff is welcoming . I’m impressed

Not the best experience I've had.The " fresh" food produce section was awful and the food options were terrible. The food was all old looking and the lettuce for instance,was all wrinkled and not cool at all,in fact I ended up skipping that section.I was able to find actual help pretty easily, and they took the time to walk me to the sections I was having troubles finding.In the food isles,And the rest of the store..altho I have to sdmit,admit, probably got more walking in then I did that day taking my dog for a walk!- But seriously, my over all experience,..minus that awful self check out..it was horrible, and ill from now on go n wait in the enormously long lines ware there's only like 2 lines and 2 check out people working for some reason..I'd much rather wait forever, then try the self check out,with my 3 items..cuz the girl who's soosed to be helping in that area,would not get off her personal cell phone conversation to even take look at all the people, including myself, that needed any kind of help.So that area that is supposed to be much quicker..is a joke.Besides all that frustrating waiting..the rest of my experience was ok.I do wonder though, why Walmart seems to never have enough people working? Whats the deal with this? Do they not pay enough? Do they not treat their employees well?I'd really like to know the answers to these questions..maybe ill have to look it up.

Very fresh fruit surprisingly. Good selection, newborn, baby items. Sadly lacking in clothing being replenished, almost always out of stock several items on multiple visits.

Pretty much everything you need. Friendly staff from the greeter at the door to the floor staff to the cashiers …..a pleasant atmosphere.

The store is huge and has everything, but just something is eerie about the stories about people in Walmart, the floors and shelves make it look like a warehouse.

It’s pretty mellow here as Walmarts go. People quietly do their shopping, each in their own bubbles. People in Fairbanks are fairly friendly and private at the same time, in general. This Walmart is as huge as any other Walmart anywhere. I only go here once a year.

I'm convinced there may only be 3 employees working here, and 2 of them are management. I've only ever seen one of the 753 aisles being run by a human, all the rest are self-checkout. Almost everything you need is going to be locked up behind plexiglass, and finding an actual employee that doesn't just ignore you exist *or* is actually in possession of that key is a quest akin to trying to return the evil ring back to Mordor.

Such a big Walmart with lots of options for every item we need. Very good place to shop if you are going to camp or going to be in a rental or RV. Easily accessible location

This store is always clean and organized. The employees are helpful and always ready to help you find that hard to find item. I’ve been here several times and never had a bad experience.

If a cashier with black hair and glasses gets debbats to htaed it was self defense because he is racist to people of color. Don't refuse a person of colors money when it can be accepted at another register(I have receipts).

Great place for reasonably priced Alaska souvenirs! They even provide parking lot outlets to keep your vehicle engine from freezing.

This Walmart is a supercenter and is quiet huge.You can find everything here. It is on Johansen expressway and has a huge parking lot. Well maintained and organized. The staff are also friendly.

It's Walmart, so you have low class people wearing their pajamas going around and messing up the shelves because they are bored. Bathrooms are dirty, there is product casing from junkies steeling and doing drugs. Sinks are dirty, and the toilets are dirty.

Update: 4-1-24All self checkouts closed everytime I try to shop. Lines from one end of store to other because only one register is open.There were employees at the self checkout, but all were closed.I'll not shop here any longer. Won't be back. Fred Meyer is better!

I know what to expect when I visit Walmart and what works for me. I've always found a great selection. The crazy but awesome find all the way in Fairbanks is Armenian cucumber seeds.I've been looking for these all over the Midwest.

Went there to get a car charger. Took 5-10 min to find an employee. None of employees had a key to the lock to get it. I get LP and locking them up, but at least give all employees the key so customers can get their merch

In the frozen north, it's pretty basic and huge, so expect a walk both in parking and in finding items in the store. They do have groceries and decent produce on the right side of the store, pet supplies in the far back left side of store, and a garden center/whatever is seasonal from Christmas to kayaks in the front left side of the store. Decent plants right now (coming up on Memorial day weekend) outside at decent prices compared to box hardware stores.
