This is all from Monday December 12 just after 6 pm. Legitimately no water for the scorpion nor the tarantula, which at first I thought maybe they were sold or something but upon further inspection they were still in fact in there and just being neglected. Next to no humidity in multiple tropical animals cages and a super dry chameleon habitat with a sick chameleon on the ground and a bowl of mostly dead worms. I did not have the heart to look at the furry animals or the birds, and saw no employees on the sales floor to inform. All I saw was two cashiers and nobody else. I don't go here very often, but it has really gone down hills since this summer.

This is only about grooming.So, I was supposed to arrive with proof that my pup had her vaccinations but I forgot them. They didn't turn me away, instead, they gave me enough time to have. A picture of the documents was sent to my phone.They were kind to my little girl and she looked so great after her groom. I appreciated that alot.

Amazing staff and always able to answer my questions. There always busy be patient with them worth the wait! Great sales on everything especially with the holidays! There Black Friday Sales is thru Sunday I'm definitely going back. BOGO gotta treat your fur babies for Christmas 🎄 😍

I had a great experience here. Petco employees were friendly and always ready to help me find an appropriate pet carrier for our new kitty. I even got a discounted price because the one on sale was gone and there were few to pick from.

Kids love to come here to check out the latest in fish and other animals. The assistant was very helpful and graciously informative to the youngsters who were popping questions right and left.

Great pet store. It's super friendly and has pet supplies for almost any kind of pet. It's very clean and a nice pet friendly store.

Item was missing the tongs. I offered to keep the item and just get a 10% discount and manager refused saying that I could only bring it back and they would throw it away. Wasteful practice. I decided to just keep it, but very frustrated that I couldn't even get a 10% discount.

If I could give 0 I would. A few months ago we tried being out pup in and they told us we needed a rabies vaccination but we did have one on our phone (she said we couldn’t use that) the second time we went she took the vaccination card on our phone? And then told us we couldn’t get our dog groomed because of his leg which he was walking on and everything but it was something he was born with. We waited months for our appt bc we booked online. They didn’t have anything on the policy about this. We told them that he was born that was (one short leg). So they basically didn’t want to do their job.

This 1 star applies only to check out, recently an employee was rude, while I was inline my dog got excited and woofed, to assure the other customer, let them know he got excited and he is a big puppy dog. The cashier (short hair kid looked like a new hire) for no reason stared down my dog and said her Great Danes are bigger than you, they are louder, not in a kind way, it was a deliberate bully intention. This was late afternoon 6/16/2023. This person was also being standoffish to each customer cashing out.

Ashley was working her tail off but stopped to help us pick the right pet. She was hopping all over the store and still took the time to explain why we should get a hamster instead of mice. I'm really grateful she did that. Besides that wonderful experience, the handful of times we've visited the store, it has been a clean and fun experience.

Went in to grab a few things and the place is filthy and the smell nearly made me sick. The two employees I saw look exhausted and burnt out. Corporate needs to step in and do something or just close the store. The fact that it has animals to sell breaks my heart, who is actually taking care of them. Super sad situation.

Always find what I need. Only problem is that there is often 5-6 people in line and only one cashier available. Sometimes it's difficult to find an employee working the floor for help. When you do find them, they are extremely helpful though.

Worst experience. Went to purchase a new cage for our baby chinchilla and I was undecided between two cages. I finally decided on one but when I took it home it didn’t work out because the spacing of the wire in the cage was too far apart. I then decided I would place an online order to receive 20% of the other cage I had seen in store. I placed the order and when it was being fulfilled I got an email that said “oh sorry your item was unavailable” even though I had just seen 3 sitting on their shelves. I went in the store to pick up the rest of my order that was there and ask about the cage since it was in stock. The cashier tried to help and called over his manager who did not act like he had any customer service experience. He kept walking away, standing far away talking and not being very helping or understanding towards me or his coworker. He never once said he apologized for it being fulfilled wrong which is why I wasn’t getting the 20% off. His fix to the situation was to replace the online order in order to get the 20%. I tried to replace the order but online it said no longer available at this location. I brought it to their attention and once again the manager acted like he could care less. Since he never once said he understood or really even addressed or acknowledged the issue I didn’t even know if he understood what was going on. At this point I was super frustrated and not so much at not getting my 20% off but more so of how I was treated by the manager.

They were really good at helping me get a ferret on Christmas while busy, the lady that helped me was very nice and had background knowledge on ferrets (she use to own some) which was helpful. The only thing I didn't care for is when I asked if I had all the basic beginner supplies the guy said yes without looking. I forgot a water bowl and food bowl, and also got some things that weren't needed. Besides that they were nice.

This experience is only three stars for pick up process. Clerk didn’t give me all the bags so we didn’t get all of our dog food. We live two hours away so running back isn’t an option. The customer service chat online was excellent and refunded the missing dog food.

Is it hard to find a manager that knows what they are doing? Me and my dog is smarter than the person running the store. At least change the hours online so we’re not late to work because of your shortcomings. This is basic managerial stuff. Start with changing your hours online to the real ones and we can go from there.

The store is great! The only issue I have is having to scan each and every can of cat food when I buy 50+ at a time. The cat food I need is not online, so it can't be delivered, and the registers don't allow for a simple, "54 items at $1.99". It holds up the line while waiting for the register to catch up and usually leads to inaccuracies of over counting. Not the Employees fault, they are fantastic and helpful!!

Very good experience. We need a better fish selection in fresh water is all I can mention. Staff was great 5 stars maybe the store can pick up on the one star left to make it 5. The store was clean and presentable also.

Excuse my long winded review. I wanted to compile as much as I could remember.This store is fine I guess. It was really good the past few years, but I guess there's been such a drastic change in management or petco store policy that the place is running itself to the ground this summer / fall. I don't see the familiar employees that used to help me anymore, like Sierra and Chad. If a place can't seem to keep good employees, maybe there's something else going on. The store is often a mess now, there's freight left out everywhere, and employees seem overwhelmed.The reptile and amphibian section needs some TLC too. I often see the crested geckos on the ground trying to get relief from their overheated enclosures. Those are sub tropical animals, they can't be in 80 degree heat all the time. And snakes on aspen? Not appropriate. This store used to use coco coir, which is much safer and has a lower risk of molding and causing scale rot. What happened there?I get that this is retail but maybe try actually researching the animals you're attempting to sell? You'll see an increase in customer loyalty if the customers can trust you to have real knowledge about the animals, not the "care sheets" that are chock-full of falsities. A simple google search goes a long way. The whole "backed by vets" line has to be a lie, no real vet would promote some of the atrocities this store promotes. I'd shop at petco much more if I felt like I could trust the staff to adequately house the animals on display.I continue to shop here because it's the only option I have for some of my exotics, but if there was another choice, I'd go there instead. I appreciate the staff for trying, but all in all, I'm really saddened by how this store went from a petco that actually tried to go above and beyond for its animals and customers to being just like every other disappointing chain pet store.

The associates were nice and helpful, but the store itself is grossly lacking in pet oral health care items, especially for cats. There wasn't a single veterinary approved toothpaste, gel, or spray for mild gingivitis; so if you're trying to decide whether to buy online or in-store, don't bother checking in-store, it's a waste of time.

I want to give it a better rating but they didn't have much of anything in stock. I understand with not only the virus but being in the interior that shipments and stuff are delayed but no fish, no hamsters or reptiles. The workers were very kind and helpful though! They did help me find the one thing that they did have in stock.
