I’ve brought one of my dogs here twice and he has really bad anxiety BUT they do so well with him. The owner of Lucky Dog is so friendly and accommodating when it came to my dogs fear of nail clipping and she was able to get his nails done with no issues. I plan to bring my other dog in . This is the best groomer in town and I recommend them to everyone. They don’t charge super high prices and really listen when you let them know of grooming concerns.

Excellent all around. Drop off was easy, I was asked what I needed done, and I received a text message later that day stating my Golden Retriever was ready to be picked up. Photo was taken long after she had been picked up and slept for a few hours. Highly recommend.

I always appreciate you to take care of my difficult old girl, tuna. She hates hates to get her nail trimmed and get her hair groomed as well she gets extremely difficult and violent with that and it makes me concerned, anxious, sad really. But melinda always handles her well, makes her beautiful but most importantly comfort me with her sweet but confident words. I have guilt that I made my dog this anxious and difficult by giving her bad experiences when grooming her, nail trimming her myself.. I still think I am a big part of her anxiety but melinda took it like it's not a big deal, dogs do that growing old, and she's seen more difficult dogs so it's not my fault and we can get it done no matter what. I keep going to her even after moving to downtown and I'll go there forever! I wouldn't have been offended at all if she refuses my dog but she didn't and I am very very grateful for her.. my dog doesn't hate her at all I think!! ❤️ melinda is sweet, very good at her job, responsible person! I am sorry that I didn't listen to your advice to come every 2 weeks or no later than a month for nails... I tried... but ... it was too cold... I'm coming today!!!

I was impressed and please with the care they took with my two cats. Tips applied and a good brush out. My cats were comfortable and relaxed when I picked them up. Very nice people taking care of my boys.

They are absolutely amazing! It was my 6 year old dogs first time at the groomer and they took such great care of him. They ask all the questions I didn't think about before hand to make sure your pup is taken care of 10000/10 service

Used their new self serve grooming service today, it was fantastic! easy to use and a good setup, they had shampoo and dog brushes for sale if you happened to forget yours and they give you two towels to use per dog! staff was very friendly and our pups even got some dog treats at the end 😁 10/10 definitely going back.

Very nice place! My boyfriend and I went here to use one of the self use tubs for our dog, the ladies there were very nice and helpful. They also were understanding since our dog can have a lot of energy, and it was our dog’s first time getting her nails trimmed!

Love that they do walk-in nails, but I wish that they abided by their posted hours. Twice within the last month we have tried to bring our dog to get her nails done- once on a Saturday at noon and again today at 430pm. Next time we'll just make an appointment. They do a fantastic job when they are there though!!Edit: Yes, we have been to your new address multiple times. This was at your new address. Your employees must have gotten sick or something as it was closed early. They were not there and your store was not open. Thank you for the reply!

Just washed my big, old dog at Lucky dog grooming. It was clean, well and laid out. The staff is helpful and friendly. It has a convenient location and it was a great value.

We had gone here a few times and never had any issues. Until yesterday. They lost the cards for my dogs, no big deal, I told them what all we do. I have 2 huskies, one is very vocal when she can’t see our other dog. Which seemed to be the issue, they weren’t together when crated and my dog was doing her typical shriek. She does this when people come over, the doorbell rings, she wants inside.. etc. she’s a typical vocal husky. Maybe this worker shouldn’t be a groomer if you can’t handle a husky doing husky things or dogs being loud. I’ve gone in there several times and other dogs are non stop barking but because my husky is vocal in another way that’s an issue? Apparently her doing that was stressing the other dogs out . The worker was texting me before I was even home from dropping them off and telling me I need to pick them up asap when they are done, but didn’t bother to actually call me or give me a time frame. I always pick them up as soon as they are done. This whole ordeal could have easily been avoided if she would have just simply called me. Sometimes they are done quick and some days they run behind. When I picked them up the last time she was shrieking, had been there pretty much all day since they were running behind, and the girl just laughed about her being vocal. Pretty sure I met the owner the very first visit and if it was an issue it should have been addressed then. I really liked this place but I won’t be back due to how unprofessional this girl was through texting.

I take my beautiful girls here every two weeks and they always look great and most importantly return to me happy. It’s hard to find a groomer where you know you can trust the people while you aren’t around. My dogs always look happy when I pick them up and they aren’t scared when I drop them off and that huge! They always get treats and the price is fair. I get de-sheds done on both my girls and they always have nice shiny coats and all their excess hair is gone. Definitely the best groomer I’ve been to, and I highly recommend them. The owner is always willing to work with you and everyone is polite and welcoming. I have nothing bad to say about this establishment or their services. Thanks guys!

I took my two dogs to get their nails trimmed this afternoon, and I was so happy with the service provided. First, I love that they allow walk in nail trims. They were extremely quick and did a great job! My dogs aren’t the easiest to handle during a nail trim, but the girl working today did a fantastic job. We were in and out within 10 minutes. The service was inexpensive and worth every penny. 10/10 would recommend.

They were able to pencil me in during a day that I didn't have an appointment. Friendly staff. Absolutely great service. Comparable to petco grooming price wise but so much better with customer service. Will go again.

Decided to switch from Petco to Lucky Dog and I'm so happy I did! The ladies were very helpful and friendly. My pom came in looking crazy-crazy. Now he is crazy-cute. They have a busy schedule (I'm glad they do! They're very good) but I will definitely be bringing my pom again, and my Shiba!! I attached before and after pics

Had a great experience with my baby Mishka yesterday, she's prancing around like a princess now! She is only 10 months and this was her first grooming...they were very proffesional and sweet to both of us! I'd give 10 stars if I could. I'll be back in a few months, for sure! Thank you Lucky Dog!!!

I wanted to update this review I made several years ago. I only gave stars, as I didn't have time to write a full review.Our cats were in a major house fire. We were able to get into the house and find them and get them out, but they were pretty singed and sooty. I called all over town, and this was the only place that would do cat grooming. They took them in immediately and the cats were ready within a couple hours. They let me know of any burns they found, trimmed their nails, and cleaned them so well.You have no idea how much you helped our family that day. This was such a relief. My family cried when I brought them home safe and clean. Thank you.

They cost a pretty penny, but I heard good things, so I gave them a go. My lady dog has been groomed her whole life, so she's used to it and normally just lays back to get pampered. Not sure what they did to her, but she was NOT happy. Her coat was cut uneven with long chunks and way too short in most places (she's totally naked almost down to the skin, and the snow hasn't even melted yet!). Her nails are rough, and they clearly cut too deep on some. Pretty disappointed TBH. Spent the whole evening consoling my doggo and promising never to take her back there. I hope others have a better experience. 😵

This is my go to spot for years now! They took care of deshedding my old man, Charlie, in to his old age. Recently took my very elderly little lady for a groom, she’s always loved being groomed but she no longer enjoys it and her groomer was so patient with her and was even able to perfectly even up the awful raggedy winter coat buzz I recently gave her. It's clear that they all love dogs in there and I trust them to keep my pups safe!

The younger female always ridicules me, I ask for a length & she always says my maltipoo is matted & shaves him so short.I will Not go back, how I was treated April 7th was horrible, they over book & even though I had an appointment said they would work him in. Received numerous texts to confirm my appointment. She called me 10 minutes after I dropped him off and said she had to go shorter, and didn't have time to get to him but if I wanted to wait a few hours she would try to get to him. I went & picked him up , no services were done and Will Not go back.

my dog was shaved to his skin after i specifically told him he didn’t need to be shaved. he did have some matting around his neck and i let the groomer know that can be shaved but since winter is starting i prefer to keep everything else long as he’s already a small dog and gets cold easily. they shaved his entire body when it was completely unnecessary and after i had asked them not to.

I called to see if there were any cancellations for the day and was plenty surprised to find Lucky Dog was able to take my puppy in right away. The work they did was top notch. Seriously the best grooming my puppy has had in Fairbanks. I will definitely be back.

I’ve brought my cat to her twice and she’s done a great job both times! My cat got a cute bow around her neck and smelled nice for days! She charges a fair price and is honest about what’s realistically achievable when it comes to grooming/shaving cats. If the shedding has become uncontrollable or your cat isn’t doing a good job cleaning themselves, definitely make an appointment with Lucky Dog Grooming!
