We brought our springer spaniel to Happy Tails for grooming and unfortunately we left very disappointed and upset with their service. My caveat is that they did a thorough job, but the problem is that they very much did the wrong job - they disregarded the explicit instructions we left for our dogs grooming and the potential damage to our dog’s fur. Moreover, I wanted to keep this feedback private and ask them directly to improve their practice, but I didn’t receive any acknowledgment of my message.We asked for our dog to receive a minor spring trim - shaping up his feathering while being sure to leave the bulk of his coat, ears, top coat alone. When we picked him up, he had been shaved from head to toe with the closest possible shave. This was by no means what we asked for and in fact explicitly contrary to what we requested, not to mention very detrimental to a double-coated dog like a springer spaniel. If you’re not familiar, shaving a double coated dog can cause major problems with the regrowth of their undercoats and potentially permanent damage. They even shaved his whiskers!In addition, we had confirmed on the phone that they would be able to groom him without using a blowdryer, since he reacts badly to them. Despite multiple confirmations that that would be okay, when we picked him up, they told us that he had reacted badly because they still tried to blowdry him. This was maybe a minor point but with everything else, it just made us feel very disrespected.I don’t know if they have a pattern of this behavior or if they just messed up with our dog, but we won’t be returning here any time soon. I’d hope that they give some assurance that they’ll listen to customers in the future.

You just finished our 1 yr old Bernese Mt Dog Heidi and she looks fantastic. She had some big matts behind her ears from playing with her doggie friends. Her nails and coat look perfect. My husband picked her up and he was super happy too. This was her first professional groom and as always, you all rocked the it!! Thank you so much!!

Took my dogs for their first grooming here. When I picked them up I was told they were both difficult. One of them had struggled with the collar too tight and ended up with a hemorrhage in the eye. His little eye is completely red and swollen. Instead of hurting him I wish they would have stopped and called me to just come get him. The grooming was fine. Both my babies look well groomed, but I didn't expect an injury or a vet bill from the grooming.

We've been taking our dogs here for 4 years now, and they always come back so cute! Even when we ask them to redo it a little bit they're very accommodating and understanding. They're great! Plus all the dogs there always look surprisingly happy!

Usually, when theyre open, they have great service. I love taking my dog here to get her nails trimmed, and we've always been welcome. The service is kind, patient, and gentle.However, recently they closed and didnt update their website, nor have they been answering phone calls. I took my dog over today, and the people doing renovations for the business seemed very frustrated with the lack of responsibility from the owners. Honestly, this seems a little unprofessional, and in the future would look better for the company.

I was given a $65-65 dollar estimate for a bath and undercoat brush out and was charged $95 with no notice beforehand. I asked for the owner to call me ASAP and my number was left. At least to inform me why a $30 price hike of the top estimate. Now two and a half business days have passed and no response. I was very clear with the woman who booked my appointment and she, while I was on the phone, double checked about prices with a co-worker. Based on my first experience here there will not be another. I would highly recommend to not take your dog here and support a better business.

We had a great experience today at the groomers. I was a bit apprehensive, for when I called they were not super professional on the phone. The price was a little bit higher than I've paid to have our border collie groomed in the past (higher than Petco for example), but our dog was much less anxious when I collected him from this groomer than from others he's gone to.They also had him groomed in under two hours, so there was no hanging around town waiting for him to be done, or him being kenneled all day long. There were a couple of loose dogs when we arrived on the premises, but they were friendly and unconcerned with a new arrival.Despite the higher price, I will go back! Thanks!

I have 3 Staffordshire Terriers. They always do a great job when I bring one of my girls in, usually just for a nail trim since I normally just wash them in the tub at home, but occasionally they get a spa day!They don't stereotype on hype. Treat my girls like who they are - love bugs!They don't mind if you stay with your dog during the nail trims!Great folks! Can't imagine any place else I would trust with my girls!

My dog just needed his nails clipped. They were happy to take me as a walk in and it was only $10. I even got to go back with my dog so I could help him keep calm. I'm definitely going there again!

Been taking my Persian cat here for a few months now. Persians are tough to maintain, but this groomer makes it look easy. After each visit, my cat looks amazing, feels so soft, and is in a better mood. They are also able to complete the job quickly and have kept every appointment.

I would give this place between a 2 strictly for one reason.. AS I come to pick my pup up I notice in the mirror when you walk in that he was still being worked on. I didn't immediately show my face because he is very attached and I didn't want him to act up while he was getting his nails clipped. As I waited and watched I noticed that the lady who was trimming his nails was having some words with him about being dramatic with his trimming. She was very annoyed that he wasn't really cooperative, but this is your job, you should know that some dogs are not fond of certain things. If it were an easy task I would do it myself, but its not and that's why there are professionals. She was annoyed and commented that he pooped when she did his last nail trim. Before she put him back in the kennel I walked in to take him and her attitude changed really fast. It doesn't sit right with me to know that she was treating him like that, I know I didn't see anything physical but I was still uncomfortable, I don't think I would bring him back.. And it really didn't seem like he was washed, for $25 I could've just gone to Petco.

Always able to fit the pups nail trimming on the fly. Very friendly, and affordable. Wouldnt go any where else. 2/18/2022 update! Still the go to spot for all my furry family members. The groomers are experts and always friendly

Very unsatisfied with service. Took my dogs for teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, nail trim, anal glands and bath. Ears are still dirty, 2 of the 10 nails are “fresh” cut! And the teeth still have plaque built up. Personally can’t check anal glands but at this point who knows if they were done. I feel as if they only had a bath. On top of that, when I picked my dogs up they were still damp/wet. I highly recommend Cold Spot; I feel that my dogs are actually clean and dry when picked up and getting the service we payed for. Also Cold Spot always has a compmentary scarf or cute bow. “Happy trails grooming” has very poor constomer service and I will not be taking my dogs back again.

I took my dog here for a bath and to get brushed out. When I picked him up he was still wet and was still shedding like they didn't even brush him out! When I pay to have my dog bathed and brushed I expect that he will be blow dried and brushed out. I have never had this happen. Even at the worst groomers I have been to the dogs came back dry after their baths. I will not be taking any of my dogs back. Save your money and wait to get into the other places in town. I guess I should have known better since they got him in so quick.

The service offered at happy tails has always been top notch. Recently absorbing 8 additional Karelian Bear Dogs in high need or bathing, folks at happy tails restored their beautiful coats. Always a pleasure using their services.

Did ok job on my Bernese Moutain dog , he looks lumpy , hair still medium short length not short . Doesn’t look like they took any off his tail , like I asked . Plus he still had tons of loose hair on him . My car is now covered in dog hair and so was I from head to toe. On plus side his toes look good.
