I have shopped here several times and like their selection of fabric and beads. I have been treated decently but feel the owner being suspicious of me as I peruse her goods. I notice the pictures on the back wall of Alaska Native people that are banned from her store. I have listened and read of accounts of her treatment of Alaska Native people who want to shop at her store. She is accusing, suspicious, and not welcoming to some of her customers. I understand why they will not come back. I have felt that prejudice Fairbanks. As much as I love her goods, I will not go back to shop until things change. I was taught that your customers are the reason you are there.

Neat place to visit to see all the different furs. Great place to buy very warm gloves, hats, etc. They also have lots of cool local fabric and quilts.

I've purchased 3 fur ruffs and a custom otter hat. Excellent craftsmanship and customer service.Edit: 2021 - Now i am living in Europe, sent in a jacket to have a ruff zipper sewn on to use on a new hardshell for mont blanc. Still excellent service, super friendly & super fast. I only trusted them to get it done. High quality work, lifetime customer.Edit 2022 - Once again i sent a parka hood in for a zipper and another ruff. Outstanding service and excellent work as always!!!

Wow!! Alaska Raw Fur was amazing!!! If you are looking for anything fur, come here!! We purchased a beaver troopers hat and a muskrat lined alpaca hat. The quality is second to none! My only complaint, I live over 3k miles away! Thank goodness they will ship! I will definitely be ordering more goods in the future. If your in Fairbanks Alaska and you don’t stop by, you are missing out!

I am not one to post negative reviews. I purchased lots of fur, otter ear muffs, parka ruffs, fabric and fur sewing over the years from Alaska Raw Fur. I used to take my out of town guests here forgifts. I will not shop here anymore because of the owners.For a small, local owned place, they are terrible. They lack customer service, are rude, and are generally very mean people for pushing their Christian values (I’m Christian but feel like a heathen going to this place).Last time I bought a ruff, the owner accused me of picking it up and trying to get an extra ruff. She eventually remember I hadn’t.She treats the Alaska natives very poorly. I used to buy beaded wallets and baby booties but she doesn’t sell these items anymore because the natives refuse to do business with her.She’s very critical of people and assumes they are stealing. Picked up two squirrel skins for my boys as an Alaskan gift. The lady working there was extremely helpful and very nice. Shared some greats stories about the pictures behind the register as well. Loved this store!

Fantastic store with an incredible selection of the finest fur pelts and clothing! I spoke with the owner who was so warm and helpful. The selection of fur cannot be matched and I fell in love with the slipper selection. If you are looking to make your own coat or other cold weather clothing or perhaps, you want a beautiful finished product at a reasonable price, this is your spot. I was in shock at how low the price was on full length fix and mink fur coats. I am from Pennsylvania and the prices are easily 3 times as much.

This is the only place in town that carries a great selection of beads at very reasonable prices. It is especially hard to find bugle (or tube) beads in town & they have them. And the service is wonderful - I am handicapped & they usually let me have a seat while they help get what I need. So friendly!

Beautiful store with a friendly, helpful owner. There are simple rules to follow when shopping but merchandise is expensive, easily damaged or vandalized and not locked away in glass cases. I will definitely shop here again.

Great selection of fur. They can sew a ruff into your coat. Very odd Christian theme insists that all cleavage is covered before entering the store, and I got a free "Jesus Christ, our saviour" pocket calendar.

Upset by the way they think they have to follow me and my wife around. Racial profiling at its finest. Maybe if I was a little more white I wouldn't be followed and made to feel so uncomfortable while trying to shop for beads and fur.

What an awesome furier! Learned a lot from the curator gal who never seemed to mind taking the time out to answer our questions. Deffinately recommend. Plan on stopping in again next time when we're in the area!
