Look, it was great when we only had the f16 crew. Now with all the other assets, and especially during exercises this place is packed. It needed to be remodeled or have a location change when we had the funding for it.The deli foods are great and the grocery options are great, however they price gouge specific items. Especially drinks.

Very out dated and like everything on Eielson, it is worn out, too small, and is 20 years overdue for a facelift. Sandwich deli is good though, but the prices have shot up and now it's just as expensive, if not more, than subway, but the quality of the ingredients is just a little bit better to keep my business.

Like most military bases the aisles are tiny but visiting from Florida, there is still a great selection of things and stuff you can't get in the lower 48. Can't confirm for sure because I was there for only a week, the people working there were nice and hilarious. Great sense of humor. I got scolded at self check out for fluffing out the plastic bags when I was done. I like to be nice but they joked at me saying I'm doing their job 😂

The Eielson Commissary is nice. It is small but it has a wide variety of products (local and international). This store also offers the order online-pick up at the store option. The staff is friendly and their sandwich area is the best.

They are alright when it comes to meat and the staff is friendly but the milk and vegetables suck there. I ate blueberries the same day I bought them and found Molded blueberries at the bottom of the container. The milk is always a day or two close to expiration. I buy tomatoes and it's rotts the next day.I’m upping my stars too 4 because they have definitely improved since I’ve moved here. Vegetables are better and the prices are great!

The store is small, but has a nice variety of foods as well as a Boar's Head. Sushi supposedly coming soon. Only thing lacking is quality fresh veggies -- most are pretty ripe, but thats the reality of winter in AK, I suppose.

Boars Head meats/products was a game changing add to the store! Sushi Chef is also very much appreciated! The Commissary has a much bigger selection now and the meats are much better quality!Recently started opening on Monday! So now open 7 days per week! Fantastic!

Watch the dates on items. Purchased deli meats that had been expired for 10days! Husband got sick. Had to bring back steaks 3 times due to the best being rotten once we opened it the same day. Not a very well-stocked or selection of Produce. We now shop in town if we can. Come here as a last resort. However the staff is always very friendly.

The ladies and gentlemen at the Eielson Commissary are a wonderful bunch. Always made us feel at home. Excellent meat market and they keep their shelves well stocked. And on top of all that they hosted several holiday events that were really fun

Not as large as the Fort Wainwright commissary, but well stocked and capable of serving the Eielson community quite well. The pricing is good, and great for last-minute convenience trips. Their sandwich options are an excellent choice for lunch.

Friendly employees, great variety of food and produce. Produce isn't always that fresh, but welcome to Alaska! Some prices are a bit higher than going to Walmart but worth it to not have to go off base.

I've gone to a few bases now...and I actually loved this place even though it was small. The prices were good and the selections were perfect. The staff were also super friendly.

The Eielson Commissary is a great place to shop for all you're grocery needs. It is considerably cheaper than shopping at the Safeway in Northpole. They always have a good stock of produce and meats. And the shop is relatively clean. They are missing a few of the more specialty ingredients however for the most part they have everything you would need for your day to day grocery needs.

Unlike other reviewers, I know that playing Freezer Drawer Roulette is always a losing battle, as Eielson is one of the LITERAL LAST commissaries on the supply chain. YoU TrY DRiVinG aN OrAnGE FrOM FloRiDa, pAL.They do their best with what they got and that in itself keeps me driving the 35min to shop there. That David guy is kinda cute, too.

Seriously tiered of getting food and going to use it and it being expires. If you plan on using this commissary then I would plan on making all that food the same night. I honestly have no intention on spending money there ever again. I honestly think this is a joke of a grocery store!!! So long to that.

I have shopped at this commissary for 15 years. The selection is limited and I blame that on DECA not the staff. Produce is hit or miss, but get what you need for a few days and its alright.I do believe it was open on Mondays considering we are 10 miles from Safeway which is high priced.Cashiers and baggers are great. Deli section always serves with a smile, but selection of me at a is lacking. Sandwiches are great especially the grilled wraps. Don't shop on military paydays if you are like me and hate crowds.

For a slowly dying airbase in the middle of nowhere. They have amazing produce.and a pretty large selection of many other goods. Definitely helps keep traveling to town to a minimum.

Good place to shop could be cheap you just have to look for deals otherwise I'd shop elsewhere... people are nice but sometimes my daughter and I get judgmental stares... overall its a great place to support!

For some reason Asian ladies hate me there, and really making my shopping trip miserable every time I'm at the check out. I never had more then 40 products in for self check out, but they are sure that I have more then allowed. Plus every time I try say hello they give me this very nasty look and talk between each other. Very unpleasant atmosphere at self-checkout(only with the Asian women)

The deli is good. Grocery shopping is hit and miss. They're usually out of what you need or just don't stock it at all.

Great staff, very personable. And as for my 10 years of using base commissarys this has been the best for service. My only complaint is the deli, my hot sandwich was borderline burnt on the outside and cold on the inside.... The worst panini I've had to date.
