Convenient for its location, it is a much smaller store.The Anchorage Walmarts have a wider selection and are usually stocked a little better. Although this one is much more comfortable to shop in, so I still prefer it.I am sad that they have gotten rid of the self check out.

Very rude employees and managers. No such thing as customer satisfaction here. Only wish I could give negative stars because they don't deserve even 1 star. Do yourself a favor and shop at 3 Bears or Fred Myers.

They've closed the self checkouts and you've got to wait like 20+ minutes to check out with your one single item. Even though this is the closest store to our house and on the way home from work, I see no need to provide Walmart anymore of my revenue or time!If Walmart continues this path they will be ran out just like their Sam's club!

Walmart Eagle River 5 Star- I really believe this Supercenter sets the ideal bar for what their Anchorage counterparts should strive for.Not only was this location, very, extremely clean, their shelves were completely stocked, aisles uncluttered and employees were VISIBLY available to help others. I was greeted more than once and was highly impressed. Excellent experience. Best Walmart yet of my purchases. Thank you Eagle River Supercenter!

The Eagle River Walmart is one of the nicest Walmart I have shopped at. That being said, the store always has self checkout open that gets backed up quite often as they don't have any other checkout lanes open.

Right around the corner, always friendly and helpful service, great selections of just about everything and there are always really great bargain sales if you take your time to look. They also give money locally every month to worthy causes. It is worth talking with a manager about their giving programs if you are part of a school or non-profit charity.

I need y’all to protect Dave, who works in the Liquor department, at all costs. This man has been the highlight of my visits. He is the kindest soul whom I love talking to. I told him a while ago that we were moving and when I just went in, I told him this was the last time we’d see each other.When he hands me my receipt, he gives my hand a little shake and says “alright kiddo, you take care of yourself “I haven’t cried this much since I found out my dad left.

I waited over 10 minutes for service in the deli department. I even called customer service while standing there. The customer service paged deli over the main intercom. No service. The workers behind the counter ignored me and busied themselves with other stuff. Terrible customer service!

The employees who work in the sporting department are pretty much worthless. Even though they "sell firearms," allegedly only one employee in the entire store can sell them. Or "the computer is down" or "the internet is down" or they "can't sell them after 8 p.m." These are all actual excuses I've experienced on 4 separate attempts to purchase an item.

Most items had price labels, the store was clean including the bathrooms. The employees we interacted with were polite. Probably one of the nicest Walmarts I've ever been too.

The two secuirty gaurds one with short black hair and glasses and the other with blonde curly hair and has a beard keep kicking us out and harassing us while we are in the store they follow us around the store without saying anything and the blonde guy laughs at us and they kicked us out and wouldnt say why and kicked us out for laughing.And we asked a empyloree for a shirt and he ignored us and started mumbling and remainded silent.

It is a store in Eagle River. That is a plus. It is always clean and after earthquake damage and COVID seems to be stocking normally. Produce is usually cheaper than other stores. I hate the square milk jugs. Prices can be a bit high compared to what it shows online before you select the Eagle River store. There are some employees who are very nice and some that seem really off.

I bought a 75" tv that was out of box and had been recently taken down as a display. It was a decent markdown price so I decided to buy it because it was listed as "no issues" and had a "30 day money back guarantee." Apparently, both of those thing were not true. They apparently didn't plug it in after taking it down and just assumed it worked. After I purchased it, then they offered to test it for me just to find out that the entire bottom left corner was dark and didn't display properly. So, I am now forced to carry the tv all the way to the customer service at the front and wait in line to return something that shouldn't have even been for sale. After wasting a half hour of my time and getting several employees involved, they tell me that they can't put it back on my credit card and that they have to give a me a gift card instead. When I ask why, they tell me that it is because they put it as a no receipt sale even though I had just purchased it and gave them the receipt. When I asked them to elaborate, they tell me that they had to do that because it's normally non-refundable, even though the sign on the tv says 30-day return policy and the cashier told me that it could be returned within 30 days for any reason. The employees, especially Lester with "upper management" are a joke and will just waste your time and screw you over. Do not buy anything that you plan on returning here. They wasted over an hour of my time and did not offer any sort of compensation or even an apology.
