Everyone in our family had an amazing, amazing time fishing!! Dave gave us tips on planning our trip to Alaska before we even left home. We fished with him and his guides for three very fun days. Dave gave us options each day on what we wanted to fish for, took us to the perfect spots to get lots of fish, helped us with technique, and made for an absolutely great vacation for us and our kids. I’d give 100 star if that were an option! Huge thank you to Dave for wonderful memories we will have for a lifetime! They all treated us like family. Fabulous pictures too!!!!!

We had 2 1/2 days fishing with these great guys! Mike took us hammering on sockeye our first half day, then knocking out rainbows and dollies on another while Brian got us meat for the table limiting out all 3 of us the other day. I can't recommend these guys enough. Thanks goes to Dave, Mike, and Brian for an absolutely stellar first Alaskan Salmon fishing trip.

Awesome trip and ended up coming back with almost 15lbs of salmon. Brian made sure to put us on the fish and showed us a lot of the wildlife/scenery in the area. He was super knowledgeable and it was the definitely the best part of our trip. Thank you Brian!

I just want to give a shout to the guys running this shop! As a solo gal that booked a full day trip I had honestly the best experience! Mike was my guide and he did such an amazing job! If you want to go fishing in Alaska, definitely use Cooper landing fishing guides and request Jeff!! I’d never gone fly fishing before & he taught me. I caught so many fish it was insane. He’s super knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife and he has some awesome fishing spots. Saw a ton of wildlife. Eagles, bears, ducks. They have all the gear you need and provide it for you as well. I don’t have nearly enough pictures, but it was a fantastic experience and I couldn’t recommend them more.

My wife and I went on a trip with Dave and we had a blast. He was very down to earth and easy going. We caught large silver salmon and had a fantastic time doing it. Dave is very knowledgeable about his craft and willing to teach you anything he can. Whether you have been fishing your whole life or it's you first time (like my wife's.) June 19, 2022 we went out for a full day of fishing on the Kasilof River. Our guide was Brian and I can't say enough about this guy. He was patient, an awesome teacher, a wealth of knowledge and hilarious! We were the only couple with him which was a highlight in its self but there was plenty of other guides out fishing were we were. But we were the only people to max out for the day, so that tells you he really knows how to read the waters and how the fish move. Unfortunately, due to current regulations and laws, we couldn't keep the King's we caught but we got the experience or reeling them in and how to properly release them back into the waters. We highly recommend not only going with this company but request Brian!

Had a great time with Cooper Landing Fishing Guides. We added 2 anglers at the last moment, and they worked hard to accommodate us with an extra boat and a reserve pass. First time on the Kenai (drove past it a ton) and first time fly fishing for reds. These guys spent time working with us on technique and even taught me to spey. Will definitely be back and using these guys again!!

We got the pleasure to have Dave guide us on the Kasilof! Very professional, great equipment, very knowledgeable. He knew the river and would adjust our positions in the river so we had the best chance of catching fish. He is very personable and we had a great time on the river with Dave.

Dave took us out 2 full days in October of 2021. He's an awesome guide, super friendly and knowledgeable. We did conventional first day and fly the second. He put us right on the fish. We caught so many trout and silver salmon. Can’t wait to fish with him again next time we visit Alaska!

Took a full day trip on August 27. Met Mike at the ramp and immediately knew it was going to be a good day. We discussed what all I wanted to do on the trip. He made a plan, told me what to expect and then set out to make it happen. Mike is professional, patient, laid back and most of all relentless. Fished hard for the entire day and accomplished everything we set out to do. Had a great time. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to use Cooper Landing and Mike again.

What an awesome time! I did a full-day guided fishing trip with Mike out of the Skilak Lake boat launch, and he took us to about 20 different spots throughout the day (about 10 am to 5:30 pm). Seems like we had a “slow” day and still caught 8 total fish between 3 people. For someone who doesn’t fish, I still loved the experience and thought catching 3 pretty big salmon was great. This is an expensive excursion, but when you consider everything it entails, I think it amounts to a bargain. Stop at the Two Brothers Roadhouse if you’re heading back to Anchorage from there and need some food.

Book these guys! You'll love the professional, safe and fun time they create for you, plus you'll catch fish all day long! Our guide, Mike, was knowledgeable, personable and took great care of us from start to finish.He made sure the trip included the kinds of fishing that we wanted to do (pretty much a little bit of it all, haha)...then, he made it happen. We would book him again in a heart beat. Plus, he made sure to show us eagles along the way. Just everything you'd like in a guide.And, with just my husband and I in our party, this company didn't load up another party in our boat to fill it up, so we were relaxed, spread out and enjoyed the whole trip.Great lifetime experience, and highly recommend them.

Dave was a great guide. If you want to catch some fish he is the one to call. Check out the pictures! That's Dave cleaning our King Salmon. No matter what species or where you want to fish he is a great guide. Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Sockeye Salmon, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Pink Salmon or Greyling you just let him know when and what you want to catch and he will put you on the fish.Don't worry if you are not very experienced Dave will make you feel like you should have your own fishing show. He has all the gear from fly rods to conventional fishing gear. Honestly the best fishing trip ever. No stress, no checking gear just show up and fish.So if you want to fish the lakes, Kenai River, Kasilof River or anywhere else on the Kenai Peninsula Cooper Landing is the guide service you should choose.Almost forgot! We had my 75 yr. young father in-law fishing with us. Dave made every accommodation and the trip was smooth sailing. We met many guides and Dave is the most professional, kind and knowledgeable by far.

We had the best time with Brian out on the river! He was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and had the best stories for us. We could tell how passionate he was about fishing! Brian even let us stay out on the river for a little extra time so I could catch one more silver salmon. The highlight was catching a 30”+ rainbow trout!We went to a fish processor after and left with about 20 pounds of salmon fillets to take home. Can’t recommend this guide service enough and would definitely love to go on another trip again!

I Went with Mike from Cooper Landing Fishing Guide on a full day Kenai River trip. It was a phenomenal day of fly fishing. Mike made it fun and educational. We spent the first half hour helping me get the hang of bead fishing and getting a good hook set on the fish. By 10 AM I lost count of how many fish we had caught. We caught rainbows, dollies, silvers, and couldn’t help but catch a few reds. Mike changed color and size and weight on the beads to make sure we were using the most productive set up possible. To the point other guides on the river were asking what we were using. When we broke off on a fish Mike was handing me another rod to keep me fishing while he retied the other. I left with some great photos and a filleted silver for dinner. Thanks Mike and Cooper Landing Fishing Guide for a memorable day. I look forward to fishing with you again soon.

We go on guided trips every year and Dave was one of the best guides we’ve had. Very knowledgeable and experienced, he was happy to tailor our trip to make it what we wanted. He’s a great teacher and had us all spey casting in less than an hour.Dave is one of those people who just seems cool to hang with and doesn’t try too hard to be funny or likable—he is naturally both. This was a trip of a lifetime! We were a bit late in fall and Dave was highly recommended by other guides that were closed for the season. No wonder why! He is an amazing person, knows the river like the back of its hand, very friendly and prepared. We caught quite a few cohos and large trouts. Action was consistent and the scenery is amazing. This guide was fantastic! Easy to communicate and schedule with and we received top notch care from our guide, Jeff. Jeff was very patient with me, as it was my first time fly fishing, and made sure I had the best chance at catching a fish (and I did!). He took us to the coolest spots along the Kenai River. My husband is a more experienced fly fisherman, but caught his biggest trout on our guided trip! Jeff provided warm layers that made our experience more enjoyable and took pictures for us.
