This is probably the worst Walgreens pharmacy I’ve had to experience. The pharmacy intern, I believe his name is Trevor but I’m not sure, he is a talker gentlemen with curly brown hair, blue eyes and a gross attitude.Anyway, this intern decided that he could tell me to leave my current psychologist of over 20 years because he said so, and he would like to confirm my prescriptions were real.Mind you, they are called in by my physician every 6 months. I have also been on the same 3 medications since moving here, but overall on the same ones for over 15 years.When they decided to tell me I needed to switch my doctor, and he didn’t believe my prescriptions were real, the short “supervisor” not only raised his voice, but had no response to what I was saying.Having a legitimate prescription that is refilled regularly by a licensed and top rated physician must be fake because he’s out of state. Prior to moving I called that particular Walgreens and my physician to make sure I could still keep him. It would have been a determining factor in whether I moved if I needed to stop seeing my doctor.These staff members are rude, condescending, provide no actual information and must really hate their jobs. I hate writing negative reviews like this and didn’t the first time I had a weird altercation with them. But this second time was INSANE. The shorter gentlemen with olive toned skin who acted like it was his first day on the job and the intern who sincerely believed he had the right to tell a customer that they had to change their doctor really need to be re trained. I am working on filing official complaints with corporate and the store because of how they acted.This pharmacy used to be slow but somewhat pleasant when the other staff was there.Seriously, I was flabbergasted by the intern’s audacity at saying “I told you to get a new doctor.”Crazyyyyy. I would recommend going to a different pharmacy altogether.

Worst walgreens in anchorage . Don’t do your curbside pick up here you will regret it . I have bad experience twice already. They take FOREVER to bring your order even they are not busy and doing anything. Looks like people who work here don’t like their job and lazy . I do a survery twice but looks like the management not doing anything to improve their overall service . 👎👎👎👎

I had been bad experience when it comes to the pharmacy picking up and refilling meds, but this far is the worst experience with Walgreen in 88th avenue.I was paying the things I bought whenI noticed that the cashier guy (curly medium long hair) has billed me juice that I did not buy. I told him and he said that the guy ahead of me did not pay the item but not to worries he can void it. In my end I can still see that I have that item on the list for me to pay. I told him again about it and he sarcastically told me that it is already voided and even asked me to take photo of his screen.So I-paid the amount on the screen and can still see the juice item that is included. He even did jot hand me the receipt, he just told me” your receipt is there” so I pulled out the receipt myself from their machine. I went out calculated the items I paid with my own cp and SURE it is, the juice that I did not have or buy is included on the amount I paid. I went back inside and told one of the cashier person, and the guy whom I paid my stuff still insisting that the juice was voided and not included in what I paid. So we scan all my stuff and together with the discount I have SURE enough I WAS BILLED THE ITEM THAT I DID NOT BUY. And the guy (whom I don't know the name) still says that they will be short of money because the item was already voided.What and A******! He did not do his job properly, no manners and want to pay the item that was not paid by the other costumer so he will not get in-trouble. I did not hear any apologies from anyone specially from that cashier guy and till the end still insisting it was voided. one of his coworker even said that I was billed with the juice, other one said he does joy know how can he void it without the managers approval.That kind of guy should bot be dealing with money and should not be un the cashier job. He will make other pay items that was not paid by others because of his negligence on his job. CHECK U GUYS RECEIPT BEFOTR LEAVING!

I walked in 30 minutes before close. Waited in line for 10. Was told my script had not arrived from Dr office and they close soon so call them and send to another pharmacy. My clinic said stay put we will call it in there’s still 15 minutes. Closed their gate 10 minutes before close. Not kind, helpful, or sympathetic to someone obviously needing medicine for an illness and not just trying to keep them from leaving work early.

My biggest issue is that whenever I call the local number and ask to speak with pharmacy staff, I end up talking to someone outside of Alaska... which doesn't make sense to me in general, and its very frustrating because 99% of the questions I have are related to local medication regulations. Also, the recording asks you to stay on the line to do a survey, but the call disconnects as soon as the store hangs up. Overall, this store is quite pleasant to work with, for myself and the patients we have who use them.

Tried changing locations to pickup my medication, but it was a terrible decision. After 6 hours that my doctor sent the prescription the medication was still not ready, only knowing that after 30 minutes in line. Reading all the other reviews it seems like I’m not the only one with a terrible experience. There are plenty of other places where you can find your medication and the staff are super nice and knowledgeable.

I set myself up for automatic text refill reminders. I get the refill reminder, I text back authorizing the refill. I check the app to see if it's been filled yet -- it's not even in the system. So I try to push the refill through the app. Maybe half the prescriptions get filled. You try calling the pharmacy to to see why the other half haven't been filled and their phone system is either down or you're stuck on an hour long hold -- where they finally pick up and hang up on you. If you aren't wanting to drive down and wait 45 minutes to fill your prescriptions or come back the next day after arriving in person -- this isnt the pharmacy for you. I've been dealing with this for multiple months now, and I'm probably going to be transferring all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy soon.

The pharmacy NEVER answers ANY phone calls. I called to refill an RX, placed my order, than the computer line asked "do you have any other refills?" I say NO, it responds by saying "hold on we will get someone on the phone". Of course, no one answers the phone. When I get there I wait in a very long line for 45 minutes only to be told my order has not been placed and to come back in 3 hours to pick it up. Now I find they had not updated my insurance info and I don't want to order until they do. I would love to talk to them on the phone to let them know but they won't answer the phone. Now I am heading back there to stand in line forever to get them to talk with them.... so freaking frustrating.UPDATE: They fixed their phone system and you can order online again. I do wish they would consider adding another person to the cash register when the line get considerably long. The wait takes forever.

Every time I try to call this place I’m on hold for 15 min then it will ring for two and I’ll be put back on hold again for 5-10 min then the phone will ring again for two min then I’m stuck listening to the hold music again after 27 min of this they hung up on me. I normally wouldn’t leave a bad review about this but this isn’t the first or second or even third time this has happened. It happens nearly every single time I have to call. I am currently on hold with them right now after they hung up on me and my call has been transferred 3 times. I understand people are short staffed but at this point it feels like this is done on purpose..Edit. They hung up on me again! I have now been trying to talk with someone for an hour! Once they finally answered they didn’t do the one things I asked for add my new insurance info and fill my RX and said they they can do it at the window but I wanted to have my RX ready for pickup and now it won’t be. USELESS!! And I wasted my time! Extremely frustrating

I’ve attempted to pickup two separate prescriptions after notification they were ready and twice the pharmacy has been closed in the middle of the day on separate occasions (this was outside their lunch closure). I would hate to think someone with limited mobility would have to make multiple trips to this pharmacy because of its unreliable hours of operation. I would recommend looking for another pharmacy.

I have monthly meds which they will not auto-fill. L Pharmacy leaves me on the phone for an hour then hangs up on me. Several times in one day. Every month. If I get ahold of anybody a day prior to my med refill and ask them to have it ready the next day when it’s due, they refuse and say I have to call back the next day to request the refill on the day it’s due. Then I have to wait an hour at a time, to be hung up on again several times the next day. They lie and say it’s phone problems… for THREE YEARS??? Then say they are under staffed. Again, for THREE YEARS??? They also lie & say my script never came through even tho I check ahead of time to make sure they received it. Worst customer service ever!!!! This pharmacy sucks.

I came here to get some passport pictures taken. No big deal right? Well the photos came out way overexposed and somehow passed through the Walgreens detection system (although I do believe the employee didn’t even check, and simply just said it did). The employee did not care about my concerns of the picture looking washed out, and was pushy about me just accepting the picture he provided. Well when I sent the picture in, I got a letter in the mail 1 1/2 months later from the official US passport agency that my picture was overexposed! So thanks a lot to the pushy Walgreens employee at this store! I went to another Walgreens and they got it right and listened to my concerns. I am so angry with the experience :)

Apparently the pharmacists don't have any hands, because they are COMPLETELY INCAPABLE OF ANSWERING A PHONE. Like, just pick it up. It's not hard. My three year old niece can pick up a phone.IVE TRIED 13 TIMES AND NEVER HAD ANYONE ANSWER THE PHONE EVEN AFTER WAITING FOR OVER 8 HOURS ON HOLD and been hung up on probably 5 times within the span of 2 daysSo unprofessional.Hopefully after I complain to corporate they will retrain their pharmacists to learn how phones work.It's completely reckless and dangerous to leave people unable to communicate about their health issues.

My doctor called in a prescription (confirmed) and also faxed in a prescription (also confirmed receipt). Three hours later - no prescription in the system. I have been on hold 3x for over an hour total - no one ever picks up the phone. I am disconnected after waiting 20 minutes. Is this how you do business? Stunned. And I actually NEED the prescription this evening.

They aren’t open when they say they are. My wife went to get a prescription tonight before 7 pm when they said they were open until 7pm. They were closed. Looks like others have this issue too. This is a patient safety issue.

I have an emotional support dog. I came into the store tonight 3/6/2023. A person working there said you can't bring that dog in here and I was trying to explain to her that I don't have this problem at the other stores. She just wasn't having it so I left.Chauncey Fuller

Pharmacy has been horrible !!! They never call if my prescriptions have been filled or delayed anymore.I just had my tonsils removed and I had an order sent in days ago. They never called me to let it know it was let available. They have no communication whatsoever with paying customers. So now I’m left without a certain medication because Walgreens pharmacists have no idea how to do their job. If it’s because you don’t have people working . Then hire someone for phone service. You make it impossible to even talk on the phone you have to go through menu and that automative message system that doesn’t even know what the works “talk to pharmacists !!” MeansHey Guy with a man bun at Brandon street and adidas jogger suit you are an embarrassment to your “progression”

Every-time I call pharmacy they never answer, I get placed on hold for half an hour, up to an hour just to get hung up on. My grandparents diabetic medicine is very important, this is unprofessional.

I can't speak for the bad reviews but this is one of the best Walgreen's in town! Clean, well organized, staff is very friendly. I haven't gotten any prescriptions filled yet but so far, but I'm definitely a fan of this location. Great place to pick up a variety of whatever you need without having to go into a big store. I can get in and out fairly quick too.

Usually love walgreens but tonight had an awful experience… waited in the drive up line almost 10 minutes with no movement, decided to go in store instead… waited inside at the counter for 6 minutes before even being acknowledged, with employees walking past me multiple times. Was finally greeted by the tech Arlene, told she’d be with me in a minute… clearly short staffed so okay. Team Lead comes to close out a register (7:45pm) and says they’ll be with me soon… then someone in a short white coat, no visible name tag (the pharmacist?) walks past and I ask how long it will be before I’m helped as it has been over 10 min at this point, snarkily she says “you’re gonna have to wait” to which i reply that i HAVE been waiting… more than 10 minutes now… and she turns away and says under her breath “well clearly we’re busy” … i do NOT appreciate being spoken to this way for no reason. the tech helped multiple people in the drive up line i (and the next customer behind me in line) had already waited so long in, finally almost 15 min later i am helped and out in 2 mins. RIDICULOUS. please do better walgreens. i asked Arlene the pharmacist’s (?) name but she replied the gal was new and she didn’t know her name?? bizarre.*edited to say Arlene was very apologetic and nice when she did finally come help. I’m not sure what walgreens’ policy is on who to help first but I can’t explain my frustration (and the customer behind me’s frustration) listening to her help 4-5 drive-up people as we stood waiting over 10 minutes…

Very disappointed with this location so far. Moved on this side of town and thought it would be more convenient since we used to use the one on Tudor. I get a very expensive prescription that costs about $5,000.00 (not a typo!) and they lost it and took them about 48 hrs. to find it. Turns out they just put it in the wrong location in their store. Put in refill requests online for my daughter’s and on both attempts, they have failed to fill even though they received my other one and filled it just fine. Very unorganized and unreliable. Professional staff but have not experienced this lack of proficiency at other Walgreens until now.

This Walgreens is terrible. Don’t even bother trying to make an appointment here for anything. They’ll just randomly close the pharmacy if you do and not even do you the courtesy of calling you to let you know. Happened to me twice. Then they direct you to another Walgreens that can’t help you. Horribly managed place that I’ll never step foot inside again.

Very unprofessional. Count your medication because I have had more than 4 times my perscrition was not all there.Thank God for the cameras. I did receive the correct dose of my medication but the pharmacist tried to cover it up by putting the pick up date the same as the original date.

I came in from my dentist, who first wrote my prescription under another name. I handed the manager pharmacist my drivers license THREE times and she still didnt catch the wrong name. I was in pain and couldn't talk. So, I get sent to my dentist to get the correct name on my prescription. I was prescribed 31 pills and only went home with 21...didnt catch it until I felt better and thought, that's odd, I didnt take that many.....now I sit for another hour and a half waiting for my dentist and waiting for them to figure out what the manager did and why they are short. My insurance paid for 31 pills not 21...count your pills before u leave this place. Never coming.to this pharmacy again, there are other Walgreens! I came for the number of pills.i paid for but they need to speak to my dentist now on a Sunday.

Worst WALGREENS EVER! Had a scheduled appt for a covid test and they posted a big sign saying all covid tests cancelled today. Called them and they say it's for another location. I asked why it's posted on their drive thru, they tell me it says for the other location. It didn't say that. Then they tell me I have to reschedule!!! I sent in a complaint. Also had a prescription there once and they didn't tell me that they don't carry it. So, communication there is horrible!

This pharmacy don’t ever answer hold for 30-40 minutes and it will start ringing again and they just hang up without even saying anything and having to go in and they give you ugly attitude when trying to ask why do they just hang up without saying anything!!
