Went to get some small aquarium supplies for a Betta fish. Ted, an employee at this location, absolutely went more than above and beyond to help me in my journey to setup a living aquarium space! I was provided with knowledge, friendly and prompt service and even further provided with resources to expand my knowledge base. I could tell he was in love with what he did on the daily and loved to spread that enthusiasm to others! I simply cannot recommend enough this location as all the passionate animal lovers (cleverly disguised as employees) are practically beating down the door to help you set up whatever project you can dream up!

Journey in grooming is amazing! My dog gets excited to see her but gets nervous going back without me. She handles him with genuine care and love. He trusts her. When he comes home he’s always happy, clean/soft coat, and tail wagging. She’s the best!

I bought all the things I needed which was fine, I’ve got a new stray dog and needed a few essentials. My daughter took our dog outside and he ended up taking a poo on the sidewalk and we didn’t have our bags with us. I waited about 15 minutes in line to ask if they had doggie bags so I could pick it up. Once I finally got to the employee she looked at me very annoyed and shoved a paper bag in my face. I couldn’t believe how rude it was and how am I supposed to pick it up with a paper grocery bag???? I would expect an animal store whom let dogs in everyday would have extra dog baggies. Needless the say the whole experience turned me off and I’ll be shopping elsewhere for sure.

Literally anything you need for your dog can be found here. The food selection is amazing, so you should fine cheap to quality food with ease. I think "size should fit all" is a good way to look at the accessories selection. Small dogs may require searching online, but medium and large dogs will have no problems with the selection. This was the first time I had taken Max to the groomer. I rescued Max about 1 month ago. He is 125lb white German Shepherd. He has a very good temperament, however he was anxious when we walked in. The Lady that took care of Max was very professional and kind. I could tell she was very passionate about animals and took exceptional care of Max. Max looks great. Thanks for taking care of Max

I received the worst service I’ve ever had. I had scheduled a pet grooming for my cat a month ago. When I arrived on time they said that my cat was listed as a dog in their system. They had sent me multiple emails about time and not to be late. All the emails said he was a 19 pound long hair cat. I took time out of my day and rushed all morning to make this appointment. Do not shop here they are not into customer satisfaction.

Petco on Dimond, while the farthest for me in Nchorage, seems that best organized one for fresh food choices in stock. The staff all are ready to help in all the stores though. Which is appreciated.

My kids love this place. 4 star because when we go there sometimes to get something that says available at store on the website, when we get to the store, it is apparently not available. But we love this place.

We drove ever bit of 30 miles to go to this Petco to get my dogs hair cut and the groomer did not tell me to bring any shot recorders or receipts of the shots to bring in. We get there on time and she did nothing but give us a hard time and denied my dog his hair cut that we had scheduled a month ago. My husband tried to talk to the manager and he was given a hard time by the manager as well. I do not recommend this location. Choose another Petco instead of the Diamond location

I had my wallet stolen with all my credit cards cash and every form of ID and the manager told me there's was nothing they could do and the other manager could get the footage on camera on Monday 2 days later.. but to my AMAZEMENT the cleaning crew found it all intact under a fixture I was told I tries multiple times to give them half the cash in my wallet they absolutely refused. Super sweet but I will be sending pizza to the store next Saturday hopefully it gets to the wonderful lady in the picture on her shift too. It was a Halloween miracle!!! Thank u Petco

Brittany was our groomer today and was great. She was very patient with our anxious husky. June looks so great - she was deshed and brushed out. We have a whole new dog now!! Thank you Brittany! We will be coming back!

Clean store with some nice fishes. And well I generally go to pet stores in search for Bettas. They had some really nice bettas nicely priced as well. In general not a bad place to get fishes.

We schedule a grooming appointment over two and a half months in advance just for it to be cancelled the day of. We were told they would contact us to reschedule and that never happened either so we ended up having to reschedule with PetSmart. I would love to earn my points and use Petco for grooming but this was very inconvenient and the rep we spoke to was not very apologetic.

I was checking out after getting a veterinary service done here at the Petco on 8621 Old Seward Hwy Anchorage, AK at 5:14pm and the woman at the register was very rude. Her name was Lisa. I was trying to check out asking her if this was where we paid for the vet service and she had asked “okay well where’s your receipt?” I had told her no one had given me one and she left to go find the person who had assisted me. After finding the girl she proceeded to walk to the register and when I proceed to check out she instigates the situation by saying “oh I hope you’re not mad at me”. The unnecessary sarcasm was rude and impolite. After I paid I had asked for a receipt and she hands it to me very stern and proceeds to not say anything, not even a have a goodnight night or any sort of farewell.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great inventory selection. --- I placed my order online during off hours. I was shocked to receive my notification "ready for pick-up", hours before they actually open. -- YAY, it got bumped to the top of my list of errands for that day.When I entered, I was acknowledged/greeted and was asked if I needed any help. Explained I'm picking up an order. Gal was super quick to get my info, my order and finish check out. Was in & out in less than 2 minutes.2/14/24 - Same experience with picking up an order. Placed it online and it took about 20 minutes before I got notification that it was ready for pick-up. Walked in, was greeted and assisted. Was in & out in less than 2 minutes. Thank you for the efficient and quick transaction!!

No frills, one stop shopping warehouse, where house pets are concerned. My son wanted a golden snail for his fish tank, which the very helpful staff (in the surprisingly well stocked aquarium section of the store) provided.

Bought a refill bucket of kitty litter. They have a huge bin of it and it's cheaper to buy than getting a new bucket each time and they don't mind if you pack it totally full!

I’ve really enjoyed the class puppy one with the trainer Megan. I highly recommend it! A great balance of obedience at a puppy level and socialization. Major recommends 10/10

Emily aka Bubbles was the most helpful at resolving the issue with losing my rewards $$ when Petco returned my online order for in store pickup because item wasn’t in stock. They were very kind, friendly and knew how to get the issue fixed with customer service. May have been at the store for longer than I would have liked but issue got resolved instead of losing my rewards $$ like I have sacrificed in the past for similar problem (wish Petco would fix their system and return rewards if there was a problem on their end with fulfilling order)

Excellent grooming service for cats. My 6-year-old Ragdoll's long fur was becoming difficult to manage, so I dropped her off for a bath and a trim. The company has a policy of trimming cats' fur to one short, uniform length, in order to make the experience faster and less stressful for them, but the groomer recognized that cutting her hair that short wouldn't be ideal. She talked with her manager, who agreed to let her trim just the problematic areas, so long as my cat was able to tolerate it. When I picked her up, my cat's fur was so incredibly soft, and neatly trimmed, and best of all, she seemed completely at ease. It's not the cheapest service, but well worth the money. I appreciate that they have a staff who is trained to work with cats, and who put thought and care into the service they provide.
