I’ve never been happier with a vets office. The entire staff is incredibly kind and compassionate. They take the time to listen to you and your pets needs and are genuine animal lovers. My furry babies are typically pretty anxious however they have quickly learned to trust the entire team.They make every step so incredibly easy from text messaging, medication refills and fast appointments. They are WONDERFUL!

Needing a vet on a Saturday, I called College Village, based on their reviews. I am extremely grateful for having gotten an appointment that same day. The doctor was extremely thorough to diagnose within our budget, and she took as much time as we needed to reassure us of the cause and symptoms. They have also followed up, which is a first! They continue to respond to my messages, sincerely inquiring about the continuation of symptoms and behavior. I am very impressed and grateful.

Wonderful vets and staff for exotics. I had to take my bunnies in as new patients because they developed a UTI after being spayed and their normal doctor wasn't back until Tuesday (they started seeming sick on Thursday night). The staff were very kind and very patient with me, and more importantly, very good with my bunnies! I may be switching over to them from Hillside since all their vets can see exotics.

All of the staff here is wonderful they are very friendly and accommodating. They always take wonderful care of all of my pets. I have dogs and a few exotic animals. Best vet I’ve ever been to. My cat has had chronic health problems for 3 years, and no vet seemed to care until we went to College Village. Dr. Nicholson is fantastic and extremely helpful. He explains everything in detail and truly wants to help your pets feel better. Prices are also extremely fair, especially for the Anchorage area. Front desk staff is super friendly and quick to get back to you. If you love your pets like children, take them here!

I’ve been taking my Pug Jasmine, aka Jazzy, to College Village since she was 8 weeks old. She just turned 12 years old this past September. In the past 12 years, I’d say we made a trip to the vet 2-3 times a year. There has not been 1 time where I walked away not satisfied with the level of care Jasmine received. No matter which doctor was seeing her, I always walked away with confidence that Jasmine was being treated by a very knowledgeable, caring, supportive, and trustworthy staff. Best decision I made was choosing College Village Animal Clinic. I highly recommend them. You and your pet will be happy that you did!

I recently came here to help my leopard gecko Finn.We had a lengthy conversation about what we could do to help him. They helped me make the tough decision to put him to sleep. It was a hard decision but it was the right one. I appreciate that the College Village Animal Clinic was there with me to make that decision. They reassured me that he would be at peace and without suffering.From what I saw in the two short visits: they keep their lobby, office, and examination room clean. We love this place and all the staff here. The only complaints that you have to sit so so long for an appointment. It would be great if you could get in sooner, especially if you are an established patient. Otherwise they are a ten for sure.

If you're like me at all, you like to obsess over your pets. College Village will cater to that happily. I've never seen a vet practice so accessible, caring, and welcoming.When choosing my vet, I called around 8 different places. College Village not only picked up the call (plenty didn't) it was a friendly voice, not a machine. They immediately made a file for my dog, and my snake, (they're equipped for exotics!!) and was able to book a spay appointment right away. They contact me for updates on my pets, and I am free to text, call, or email and a kind, experienced, human will reply ASAP. This kind of service does not exist elsewhere, I cannot recommend their team enough.Thank you Jessica, Dr. Capitan, Dr. Nicholson, and everyone else I have yet to meet :)

My puppy Luna has come here since I got her at 2 months. The staff and doctors are professional and respectful. The doctors are also very experienced and was able to provide me with a lot of knowledge regarding my pup. Luna loves coming here as they give her small treats and cheese. They were also really responsive when they found out she had a condition that could be treated.

After taking my dog to a different vet for the last seven years I decided it was time for a switch. I am very happy I made the change to College Village. Dr. Basler was very knowledgeable about dog allergies (my pup's ongoing big issue) and, as Finch gets older and has more medical needs, I think she'll be very well taken care of at this practice. And the staff is incredibly nice too. The front desk person worked so hard to get Finch to feel comfortable--and that was just really nice to see.

We took our pup here for his first vet visit, and College Village was SO fantastic. Our vet asked us tons of questions, including plenty we hadn't thought about yet, and offered us good advice in terms of what kind of timeline we should be expecting for our large breed mix. She let us ask any questions we had, and answered them very thoroughly. They were even able to microchip our pup on the spot. We actually received a follow-up text the following day where the clinic asked to make sure our pup was doing alright and if we had any questions we thought of after our initial appointment. Also -- their COVID precautions made me feel much safer about bringing my pup into a new environment. All in all, I would absolutely recommend College Village Animal Clinic to others.

My husband and I just recently moved to Anchorage with our large rescue dog. He's pretty anxious usually and we were nervous about taking him to the vet. We had Dr. Capitan and I cannot say enough great things about her and how Gus's visit went! My husband went in with Gus, as their COVID precautions are in place (which is awesome!), and we could not be happier with how his visit went. Dr. Capitan was understanding of Gus, reassured us that he was just being a normal dog at the vet, and was willing to discuss medications with us. She had us stop two medicines for him that are unneeded up here (tick/heartworm), which will save us loads of money! She also was really helpful in working on his anxiety, and she clearly knows a lot about dog behavior - most of what she said echoed our trainer almost word for word. Highly highly recommend - we are so relieved to have found a good vet on our first try!
