Took my Samoyed in for deshedding. The service cost $300. They did an excellent job brushing her but trimmed way too much of her fur around her face and chest that isn’t supposed to be cut and can ruin the fur permanently. It’s very uneven with many sharp lines. It seemed like the person working on her may have been a child. All of my research and experience with groomers has said samoyeds should be very minimally trimmed or shaved. I called to politely give them feedback that the amount of fur cut was excessive and I’m not happy with the look, but the person on the phone was very defensive and said “oh Jesus” when I said my friends have been shocked when seeing her. I’m disappointed by the lack of professionalism in this conversation that was difficult for me to address, but for the price I would expect a lot more. Won’t be going back.

I have been taking my 10lb dog to be groomed at Bev’s for 3 yrs now and I will keep going back. Bev and her staff are friendly professionals and do their work with care. My dog has had a variety of hair lengths and matting depending on the time of year and somehow Bev cleans her up and makes her look cute again. I certainly appreciate their efforts each visit.

I took my dog Cody in today and I’m amazed at how good he looks. The staff was really friendly and courteous. I highly recommend them. I was told by PetSmart that my dog needed to be sedated but apparently they were wrong and I was so stressed out, but I searched on Google and their number was the first one on the list. I found my dog’s groomer.TY Bev’s Grooming.

I want to preface this by saying that we have taken our dog here before and that the times were consistently growing in duration, however this time was the last straw.I recently brought my dog to Bev's Dog Grooming, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The grooming session lasted an appalling six hours, which raised concerns about the well-being and potential mistreatment of my poor dog.Firstly, the excuse provided by the staff (Bev herself) for the extensive delay was absolutely unacceptable. They claimed to have had a high volume of dogs to attend to, but it is the responsibility of any reputable establishment to manage their workload efficiently. Clearly, Bev's Dog Grooming lacked the necessary organization and planning skills to handle their customers' needs in a timely manner. When we called, she (Bev) even joked that, "you're lucky you got him after 6 hours, we still have a lot of dogs to groom," alluding that some dogs might be there for more than 6 hours!The excessive amount of time spent on grooming raises serious concerns about the treatment my dog received during those six agonizing hours. No animal should have to endure such a lengthy process, as it can be both physically and emotionally distressing for them. No water to drink, little room to move, and no potty breaks.Moreover, the lack of communication from the groomers during the extensive wait added to my growing worries. I was left in the dark, wondering about the condition and welfare of my beloved pet. It is simply unacceptable for a dog grooming establishment to neglect to update concerned pet owners on their pet's well-being, especially when the grooming process extends well beyond a reasonable timeframe. The only reason they even got to our dog was because WE followed up.Considering the blatant disregard for the comfort and safety of the animals, I strongly urge pet owners to think twice before entrusting their furry companions to Bev's Dog Grooming. A grooming facility should prioritize the well-being of its furry clientele, providing a safe and stress-free environment for all animals in their care. Sadly, this was not the case at Bev's Dog Grooming, where my dog's welfare seemed to be a secondary concern.My experience at Bev's Dog Grooming was extremely disappointing, distressing, and, most importantly, concerning for the well-being of my dog. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Bev's because the long grooming session, lack of communication, and potential animal cruelty during the process have left me with a deep sense of regret for choosing this establishment. I strongly advise pet owners to explore other options where their furry companions will receive the care, attention, and respect they deserve.

Our standoffish dog liked Bev. The staff did a great job de shedding her and cutting her nails. I'm recovering from surgery and haven't be able to brush and trim her so I was grateful.

Notwithstanding her phone manner, Bev was kind to us, and she tried to help when her employee did a horrible job cutting my dog's nails. As in he left bleeding.The place seemed very dirty with dog hair all over the floor, far more dogs than workers, and even unattended dogs in precarious situations. Why would you double book a dog grooming appt? Intentionally leaving a dog by itself in such a scary place?More like a torture chamber for dogs.There were dogs crying in cages, and a small little dog wet shivering and crying during our entire visit, completely unattended in a tub with nothing but a neck noose to keep him in place. I've never been in a dog grooming place so I have no idea if this is the norm - but the dogs are groomed on these bare tables waist high, with nothing but 2 nooses to keep them on place. 1 for the neck, 1 for the hips. A skittish dog could easily jump off and find themselves in real trouble. I had to hold my 1 yr old black lab with all my strength to help keep him in place.The woman had no plan B for a dog that didn't like the double noose setup, except for me having to hold my dog harder and then Bev came and did the job for her as the 2 of us held the dog.Bev made every effort to help when my dog was bleeding on one of the nails, and I appreciated her kindness towards him.But this place can't possibly be up to code, if there are any codes regarding dog grooming (safety, cleanliness, etc). I will certainly never go back, and inspect the next place BEFORE allowing them to touch our wonderful little dog.

After I got my blue tick hound pup Hank up here from Texas, I called around to groomers in Anchorage because he was dirty and had the hound dog scent bad, I called Bev's, She answered and gave me some info on her store and gave me alittle personal history on herself and she stated she has owned and has experience with the specified breed of dog I am trying to get groomed. That made me lean more towards taking my boy to her. I made the appt and brought him in 2 days later. When I walked in it was a calm and busy little shop filled with dog jackets, sweaters, leashes, collars, etc. The ladies were very professional and caring of your wants and your pups needs! They called me 2 hours later ti pick up Hank, and when I got back to him, he looked great, smelt amazing, and was just as happy as when I left him. The ladies take care of your fur babies and even give extra to make sure customers and fur babies alike are satisfied. They sure do go the extra mile for customers and for that, I will bring Hank back again and again. We have a groomer for life now, and they even do gland expressing for hounds! Definitely recommend to anyone with fur babies!!

They did a fantastic jobs with my usually anxious Australian Shepherd, Leo! It was his first grooming experience.Perfect trimming job, not too short. Nails were nice, etc. This was the first time the groomer had worked with this dye product, and it turned out great! Leo is festive and ready for Christmas 🌲⛄
