Impressed with this place. A doggies heaven I found out, with an entire huge section dedicated to them! It’s certainly a headquarters for mill feed and garden needs! Go check this place out! Very nice people. Only a few places that are hard to navigate with my wheelchair. But the people were awesome. Several different people asked if they could help. All were knowledgeable.Think the only thing I could think of as far as an improvement....maybe if you see someone with a lot on there lap, offer to take it to the counter so they can continue shopping....but overall, great place.

I love going to Alaska Mill, Feed & Garden! They have an excellent selection of pet supplies, garden tools, wild bird seed, too many cool things to list. The employees are incredibly helpful & friendly! When I got in line a couple days ago, look at the cute pup just in front of me!! His owner had just brought him home, so he was stocking up on puppy supplies, food & toys!

NEW POST 4.3.24: Hulled sunflower seeds for the itty-bitty birdies (Black-capped Chickadees; Nuthatches; Red Polls). I was so gratified to find these seeds in stock! Also, a couple of other mixes for the small birds: Premium Denali Mix is one I have purchase (ingredients make for a good variety).ORIGINAL POST:Excellent customer attention attitude! I really love Alaska mill and feed. I try to support local as much as possible. Went in today and their employee Sia made it an unpleasant visit. Customer service is huge to me and made me feel like I should just take my money to Bells Nursery.

Love the organic fertilizer. Quit buying Miracle-Gro at other stores due to contamination to the environment even with what they call "organic".Buy local.

Went here to get a Christmas tree with the family. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful from the beginning of choosing a tree all the way to the end of helping us load it. Definitely would recommend coming here for your treeLots of options and reasonable prices

Good service, large selection, helpful staff. I know they can't control all aspects of their area, parking is terrible (but that's just known) but they keep their lot clean and make effective use of their space. I've only had a couple of bad experiences, and those have been solely with staff members being rude or flat out ignoring to help (I chalk it up to bad days and/or a fast paced workload). All in all, much more friendly and helpful than any big box store, with a truly knowledgeable staff.

Went for the Saturday market in the back, and realized they have an amazing selection of animal food. Found a brand I had never heard of, but it's absolutely healthy for my dog and it's one he will actually eat! Win win! His coat is shiny and beautiful since we've been giving it to him and minimal shedding.

Can you say "Customer service extraordinaire? " There's a reason the parking lot is always full! If you already have livestock or a gardening hobby, this place has everything you need to continue your endeavors. If you are just getting started or looking for a way to get started this local feed store is the place to do it. The staff is friendly and helpful with an abundance of knowledge on Chickens and gardening. You can purchase everything to get you started. They have a deal with a local hatchery where you purchase chick's and pick them up at Alaska Mill and Feed. Highly recommended!!

The perfect place for all your pet needs! This is the only place I go to for my fur babies since moving to Alaska. Friendly knowledgeable staff and very eager to help. Great selection of treats, toys, food and any other pet product your looking for. If you’re wanting your fur babies happy I suggest Alaska Mill Feed.

They were very well staffed in all different departments. The individuals working there seemed aware of what you were looking for when you did not know the name of the needed item. Huge variety! You'll be walking through gardening stuff and then suddenly step into pet supplies and then gifts and then maybe the rogue sock display. I bought my dog way too many cute and tasty things.

I went here to find dog booties, Mill & Feed had a wide selection on stock while Petco was out. The store is dog friendly so I got to bring my Manchester Terrier inside to try on some booties. The staff is friendly and helped me to find a pair that not only fit but also would hold up for my needs. The lady who helped me explained the difference between the handmade fleece booties vs the ones made of other fabrics and we left with a pair that my little Pepper loves. She can now join me on walks again and is ecstatic.
