I love AK Bark so much. I have never had a bad experience with them. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They really know the products they sell and make sure they have the best quality so you can feel good about using them on your pets and feeding them to your pets. You can get anything from treats and supplements to outdoor gear to keep your fur babies warm in the winter. I will always recommend AK Bark to friends, family and even strangers for all their unique pet needs.

Sunday staff person has always been respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable about specific product lines available. She researched and located a specific item listed in the inventory, but not on the shelf. Staffer took time to look through 'upstairs inventory' to find exactly what I needed! This place is awesome! They have a huge selection and its definitely the best place in town to buy booties! The ladies who work there are really nice and helpful. They helped me make sure I got the right size and let my dog try one on. Great service!

AK Bark had just what I needed (stypic powder) on this particular day. This is always a great stop if you want to 1) shop local, 2) enjoy a selection of more interesting/fun pet gear, and 3) would like to grab a locally made treat for your pet at the same time. I used to shop at their Dimond location, but like the Fireweed one even better.

EXCELENT CUSTOMER SERVICE: We stopped in for dog googles. Walked in with 2 pups and was greeted quickly, and asked if we needed help finding anything. I told her we could use some help in eye wear, and she came right over and assisted us in test fitting things until we were happy.

We're new to the area and we needed some weather protection gear for the dogs. They helped us pick proper jackets and boots. They even helped us size everything. We also found new treats that our *extremely* picky dog loves. I'm so glad we visited. I look forward to taking the dogs back.

[Fireweed Location] Very happy with the selection at this charming store and the knowledge of the employees. Some of the products are Alaska themed -- adorable! I brought my tiny 2 pound puppy in because I cannot find a harness that will fit him nor one he's willing to wear. The lady working helped get him fitted and let him try on multiple options in the store. They have great quality products in here and I love supporting a local business.

Stopped in a few weeks ago for some dog booties. The store was empty besides the lady working at the front desk, and she was out of her seat in no time to help fit my pup. She was patient with him, but also had great recommendations for what booties would be best based on our lifestyle and type of dog. The store itself was very clean, full of anything you would truly need for your furry friend. Dishes, treats, food (mostly cat food), clothes, toys, I could go on! The only reason I am not giving it 5 starts is because the vests for the dogs were incredibly expensive! I wouldn't spend that amount on a vest for my actual child! Anyways, we love supporting local businesses, and we will be back to support them again.

Hey all Alaskans - you should check this place out instead of a box store or big on-line store. This is uniquely Alaskan and had all the right sizes and options we needed. We got our dog some soft fleece booties that have a textured coating on one side, they are perfect and made in Ak and they have all sizes. And light collars and harnesses for your winter walks. And so many options for treats. And they have cat products too.

This local store is the perfect place to find essentials for your dog/pet! Every single place in town was sold out of winter booties, but AK bark kept their shelves fully stocked and came to the rescue! The staff are super friendly and you definitely get the feeling that you and your pet are cared for when you walk through the door. They carry a bunch of products made by other local businesses, which I appreciate greatly. The birthday area is great! They have cakes, ice cream, cookies, and biscuits to celebrate everything occasion. Our dog Beau loved everything we purchased from this establishment and we will definitely be shopping here in the near future.

This place is amazing, so much great outdoor gear for our furry (or furless) friends. I always receive excellent customer service.I have a dog aggressive dog and I can’t bring her in places to try on clothing ( we were looking for snow gear) they let me buy one to try the size on her and gave me the option of swapping sizes if it didn’t fit right. I love this boutique! For being a smaller shop, it offers an abundance of unique and delightful dog merchandise. It’s a fun place to take a dog, and the staff are wonderfully friendly. AK Bark offers a nice assortment of dog toys and treats, collars, clothes, and leashes and some harder to find items like calming oils.I especially like to take my dogs in on their birthdays because they get a lot of personalized attention. Wonderful place, wonderful shopping experience!

Had a delightful virtual experience with this lovely store. I. wanted to send a gift to an out-of-state friend and they took care of everything! They put together a selection of local goodies and accessories (sending photos along the way), packed it up, and mailed it directly! They even included a personalized card. I never had to leave the house! New customer for life!

This store has been one of my go to for years! During the hunker down they have been so accommodating with their curbside pick up! They always seem to have what I need from birthday cakes (only place I know that sells the mixes) to winter jackets and life vests! Hands down my favorite local dog spot!!

We stumbled upon this lovely shop by chance next to Pizza Hut on Saturday and oh my goodness are we glad that we did. The owners were fantastic as was their beautiful dog. We brought out boxer with us and were greeted enthusiastically and felt very welcome. It is important to my husband and I to buy local and support local artists and this is one of the only places I have found Alaska made dog collars. We have been holding out on purchasing our dog's permanent collar for a month now as we were considering special ordering a leather collar from a leather store in town, but when we saw the Alaska made collars we knew that we had to choose one. We purchased a BEAUTIFUL collar for our dog that is absolutely stunning. It complements his coat beautifully and it suits him so well. It was meant to be, I'm certain! It is wonderful to know that this stunning hand-made collar is one of a kind and my boy is so thrilled.The owners keep plenty of Alaska made items including collars, leashes, and artwork. They also carry pet clothing, human clothing, and lovely little accessories for you or your pet. They're top notch! We will be returning if we ever need anything and will continue to shop locally first before entering a big box store. Their prices were very reasonable and competitive. You won't be disappointed and neither will your purr or pooch!

I went somewhat hesitantly into this store prepared for the high prices that high quality comes with. I wasn't sure if we were going to buy anything at all, but did want to look around. I thought it would be a bunch of overpriced cutesy stuff, but a friend recommended I stop in, so stop in I did..I was shocked at how knowledgable the staff was in all of the items. I wondered around in amazement for a few minutes, but was quickly helped. The staff went over in detail what the pros and cons were of each dog coat that I was looking at. They went as far as to take things out of packages to answer my questions. I enjoyed the conversation and felt welcome while my daughter and I looked around the store. Staff made fun, witty comments.I left with two sizes in jackets for my dogs. One fit perfectly on my small dog and the other I will be exchanging (with dog in tow to try the next one on). They said they welcomed that I bring him. We were at the store for at least half and hour and spent at least 3/4 of that time with someone actively helping me, which out pushing for a purchase. We will definitely be returning in the near future!
