Very very rude elder lady. Always has some negative comment about what I'm buying, wearing, or driving. I don't even know her name, because I'm always looking down, when I walk in. Hoping she doesn't have something new to say. The store is pretty well maintained and all the other cashiers are very nice to me. The young girl even apologized about the woman's behavior, which gave me some confidence. I try to avoid going in there, even though the next closest store isn't for 10+ miles.Does she treat everyone this way? I wish she would just keep it to herself...

It's Dollar General, for God's sake.... From a business standpoint, this place makes an ASS-LOAD of money.I Went there for little travel bottles of shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Realized quickly that NO ONE in the area actually travels outside of the county, and I suspect they never have.....No empty 3oz. travel bottles, no nothing.Good selection of bulk potted meat! I really do enjoy that stuff when I'm by myself and no one can see my secret pleasure of wiping down saltines with that stuff. I really do enjoy it.This location provides everything that anyone in the area could ever want. I have nothing bad to say about them. The salespeople are always very friendly. They are always open!

Carolyn was the sweetest manager I usually go to my fort Payne stores but thought I would try the valley head store immediately walking in Carolyn greated us .was very nice she just chatted with us and made me feel so welcome. Their store is nearly organized and if u need help with anything I was kindly assisted.great experience.

I just love my dollar General in Valleyhead Alabama. The 2nd shift manager is awesome. Her store is always very neat and clean. You can tell when she is there and when she's not. She's very friendly and helpful. She always fills me in when the sales are coming up. In my eyes so far and I've been in a lot of Dollar General stores this one is my favorite by far.

Nice little store. Well stocked, clean, and friendly service. If I can't find anywhere else then this is the location that will have it in stock. Also in Alabama so I have an extra hour to run down there before they close.

Quick trip into my local DG. It's always such a friendly environment. No matter the person working at the time. They always have friendly/helpful associates. Within a week of Christmas most stores are empty and a mess.. but not this store.

Decent place to shop. One or two of the cashier's could improve slightly by turning the bags to a more convenient spot but that is true for several other stores as well. Over all I will shop there regularly.

We are on vacation and stopped at this store for some essentials today at 4:35pm. The sign on the door said they were open until 10pm. As my husband got out of the car, two men and a woman came rushing out if the store and said, "We are closed." They were in a huge rush. They were scrambling to get a cart back in the store. They were literally running back and forth from their vehicle to the store. Their behavior seemed suspicious and unprofessional to me.

The store is not cleaned on a regular bases..... The store manager is RUDE!!! The rest of the employee's are good.... The store manager does not work nights or weekends!!! And WHEN she does its VERY not often.... I moved and she would not accept my issued paper ID until my plastic one came in... And now my wife and I just got married and she is being denied because it's once again A PAPER ID!!! I want CORP OFFICE TO CONTACT ME!!! I am in this store every day... I know employee's that have left because of the store manager!!! CORP Y'ALL DO HAVE THE BALL'S TO CONTACT ME!!!

Not a bad spot but you must take care the police do like to sit there and try catch people coming down off the mountain going fast. It is clean however they do not have any vegetables do you want vegetables you have to go up the mountain to Mentone market and there you will be able to find lettuce carrots tomatoes onions and eggs. As of today Thursday June Twenty One 2018 they do not have those previously mentioned items.

Very good little dollar. Clean and close to home. Friendly employees and hardly ever crowded. Forget it's down there most of the time. Worth the time to check this one out if you haven't. It's a nice shopping experience.

Doesn't have a lot of what newer Dollar Generals have but it is a great little dollar store .. Best thing is the staff of people that work there always friendly and helpful
