Had a positive experience today. It was my dog’s first time getting groomed. I was worried I had to comeback and get him. He did fine.I’m happy with the staff that treated him so kind. Milo definitely loved it.I will be back ☺️You can definitely tell the difference and my baby love isn’t shedding nearly as bad.First two pics are before, last two are after.

First let me say the cashier was wonderful. She is the reason I'm even giving a star, otherwise I would give none for this visit. If I could I'd give her 5 stars alone. But this is an overall review. The manager was very unwilling to be helpful and inconvenienced me and my two kids. I placed an online order for the first time with PetSmart to take advantage of the 20% cyber sale. We spent over $200 in products for our new Cane Corso we haven't even had a whole week yet. My family and I were very excited to shop at PetSmart. It's usually our go to because of such helpful staff. Unfortunately, I ordered adult food instead of the puppy food. Same brand and same price. Instead of exchanging my item was returned. Which was fine but then I was told by the manager I had to pay in-store price or place another online order for pickup and wait up to two hours for it to be ready. So yea our first experience for our new pup was not as exciting having to wait in the parking lot twice. $17 might not seem a lot but it's my $17 after spending over $200 as a frequent customer.

CAROLINE in the grooming department is awesome. She doesn't do anything to my fur baby until she calls me and let's me know or ask. She explains everything about my dog to me and is always so nice and friendly..Recommend her highly to anyone needing their fur baby groomed.

These folks are very different. I never had to show a stranger what I have in my home to show I'm able to take care of the animal I'm purchasing. By having made purchases there before I'm convinced the lady I was speaking with was just being nosey. I've been keeping an breeding reptiles 10 plus years. I don't have to show anyone anything to make purchase. This was the worst experience I ever had in this place an I won't be going back.

I have never been embarrassed like the way I was today in this store. I’m born and raised in the south. Yes ma’am is something I have been taught since birth to say. So therefore when I’m speaking to women that is what I say. Today I was correct by a cashier because I addressed them as a woman instead of a man. Even though “she” looked and sounded like a woman “she” asked me to address her as a man and then went on to tell me what her preferred pronouns are. Mind you there was a line of customers behind me. I do not care what you want to identify as, but to correct me and to keep on trying to convince me to call you a sir is uncalled for. I will NEVER shop at the store again. You can identify however you want but I will not support a store that allows their employees to be rude.

This place is oblivious to alot of things. The fact that they would actually have an Old world tarantula there for sale is by far the dumbest thing they can do. That is a tarantula that does not belong in a basic pet store. The cyriopagopus lividus aka cobalt blue tarantula has medically significant venom. It is not for inexperienced keepers. It is not for basic pet stores to have period. The bite from that tarantula will cause serious pain,muscle spasms, elevated heart rate, and nausea, lasting for weeks possibly months. This pet store or any other basic pet store should really do their research on the tarantulas they get before getting them. If it is an old world tarantula then they should not get it at all. If someone there or someone they sell it to that has no clue about what it's capable of gets bit, then that store could and possibly have a law suit on their hands. Shake my head on the idiocy of their manager and workers for not listening to a few people that know about it and act like they don't care.

Love this store! Always very well stocked with all sorts of pet needs. Staff is friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. With a cat and two new puppies we need a lot and have never failed to find what we need when we visit.

Attention petsmart in Tuscaloosa y'all have the best staff that works there. I have to brag Clark he is always polite,helpful and very knowledgeable. I am always very satisfied when I come in because everyone speaks and welcomes me. It feels like family while I'm there. When I leave everyone says have a great day. I will always come in and support this location and I'll always recommend everyone else to shop with y'all also. I want to personally thank each and everyone of the employees for their hard work and dedication. God bless y'all and yalls families

A smaller petsmart but clean and well kept. When I was there I saw 2 employees one at the register and one helping someone get fish. The lines was 9 or 10 people long with only 1 cashier and more people continued to come in so I just put my stuff back and left.

Terrible customer service . Cashier doesn’t know how to do simple math while cashing out. My total was $116.04 I instructed the cashier that I would be doing $100 off my card and the balance in cash . The cashier states she could not process the transaction because I gave her a $50 bill instead of exact change

I wonder how many repeat customers the Tuscaloosa groomers get? DO NOT take your poodle there UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Showed groomer picture. Accessed dog for matting. Talked about cut (lower top puff and leaving face longer). 2-3 hour wash/ cut turned out to take 5 hours. Face, feet and tail shaved and rest nearly shaved as well. Was told there was confusion on cut. My dog looks ridiculous. I didn’t know whether to cry or start tearing stuff up, demanding my $112.00 back and asking for the manager. Just left thoroughly disgusted. Will not go back even to buy food (at least until my pressure go down). If I could give negative stars I would.

Showed the grooming lady that my dog had his three year rabies shot from the vet, and she said I don’t know if this is a one-year or a three-year, and she even said that it was a three-year herself, but she didn’t know, not coming back

The clerk was being shown how to ring something up as I waited to make my purchase. He greeted me in a friendly manner. After correcting the clerk the other employee watched him ring me up and rudely told the clerk as soon as he was thru he needed to do another task. The clerk assisting me was talking to me about my pets needs when the other employee rudely said "what" . He then had to explain that he was conversating with me about my pets. I felt sorry that the clerk was treated with such disrespect in front of a customer 😢

That department is the only part of the store that seems like they hate life their never friendly or willing to help. I will never come back there again.

Should give a 5, I guess. Didn't have the dog food I stopped by for, only the more expensive premium version. They said it would be fine to upgrade because the ingredients were similar, just better. My dog loved the premium food. She's little, so I guess relative incremental cost is not great, and if she's happy, we're happy.

Very strange experience. First off; we were repeatedly told how dirty she was upon entry (Not so) and how it would take a while and lots of effort to get her clean (okay, that's part of grooming I suppose). Then, when called to pick her up we were told to "hurry, because she is really tired." We were told she was "really tired" multiple times on the phone and upon arrival. Today she can hardly walk, cannot climb the stairs, has been sick all day and lethargic. Id like to know what happened during her visit. I'm not upset if something happened (accidents and all that), she is an 11 yr old dog... but this is just not her norm. She always has done well at the groomers. Not sure I'm willing to take her back to this pets mart. Checkout and purchasing in the main part of the store was uneventful and pleasant.

Review of the grooming section. Had an appointment to have my small dog groomed. Traffic caused me to run late getting there, but the staff could have cared less. Definitely not a friendly bunch. Would have been different if they were slammed but there was only one dog being groomed and two groomers there. One was working and the other was just standing around. Not the best customer service. No attempt to try and reschedule.... just an oh well, hate it for you kind of attitude.

The Grooming Salon is very prejudiced towards people of color. The customer service was horrible. The way we were treated this week is sickening and very disrespectful. Please Beware! Not a diverse group at all. The nerve of them to give me a $25 store credit and the grooming salon Band us from making future appointments. Like I really was going back after my experience.

Was charged $10 extra for my dog's grooming because I was 2 minutes late. I was told it was because they have to sit and wait on me. The appointment was scheduled to take 3 hours, but took less than 2 hours. So, how can you possibly justify charging $10 for being 2 minutes late??? On the positive side, the grooming for our dog was very nice.
