Lovely bakery and cafe! There is an area inside with pre-packaged baked goods like cookies, bread, loaf cakes, etc. But also a huge selection of various pastries, cakes, cookies, and more at the front in a display case. We came on a Saturday and they had a few samples of their baked goods to try. They have breakfast foods, such as biscuits, pancakes, French toast, omelettes. You order at the front and sit down, and they’ll bring it to you.I ordered the southwest omelette which has bell peppers, onions, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and a meat (I got Turkey) and comes with toast & one side (I got fruit). I was a bit disappointed in the omelette, as I was expecting the cheese to be nice and melted into it, but I just got cold cheese on top.My boyfriend enjoyed his sausage egg cheese croissant. It was a pretty big sandwich but did not come with a side.The only downside is that nothing seems seasoned. I had to add salt/pepper to my omelette , and my friend who ordered the all American breakfast agreed that everything was desperately in need of some seasoning. And for the price, I would expect more.

Asking for writing on a cake that we literally paid in full and in advance for and the associate that day was huffing and puffing like we asked for an arm and leg. This is a cake shop, but felt like I was being treated like at a McDonald’s drive thru. Cake were delicious and sweet but service was definitely sour. Learn basic customer service. Pathetic

I am an out of towner who visits this location often. Edgar’s offers a wide variety of desserts and pastries which taste great! I also can’t say enough about the food options where I often buy breakfast and lunch at the same time each time I visit. Edgar’s has options for everyone. Whether you are a regular or someone visiting for the first time, there is something for everyone. The personalized UA cookies are always entertaining to look at as well!EDIT: 10 December 22I had a terrible service experience today at Edgar’s Bakery inTuscaloosa.We went to Edgar’s this morning at about 1030 and ordered a huevos rancheros and breakfast quesadilla. Several small parties ordered after us ,and even after 30 mins of waiting for our food, those parties received their food orders and we were still waiting. Although some of these parties ordered the same two food items before us. When we asked for a refund at 1105, we were told the wait time for the food items was a half hour, which would be understandable at that point in time because a large party placed a large order AFTER our original order. It would not have effected our order since we placed it before the rush. This is also untrue because a customer ordered the huevos rancheros after us, and still received it before we did.When we asked for the refund, the assistant manager completely refunded the order, however it was the incorrect order. When I caught the error, she refunded only the portion of the order for the food items we didnt receive.Lastly, when My food was refunded, she did not refund the 1.00 tip that I had added to my order on the front end. Although the 1.00 was nominal, it was still something I only elected to do on the assumption That service would be acceptable.I will not be coming back to Edgar’s for the foreseeable future. Although the food is great, the service was substandard to the degree where I would consider several other local restaurants before going to Edgar’s.

Edgar’s Bakery always delivers the easiest and best quality experience! Emma and Jada helped me out today but I must say the entire ordering process all the way to the end result has been phenomenal! Events are made easy when you can count on establishments like Edgar’s! Thank you for the great staff and amazing cookies!

We had breakfast. Bought some cake & beverages. Picked up a standing preplaced order. Yum. Yummy. Fresh. And yes. I ate my already prepared $4.00, three layered slice of caramel cake as I waited for my very hot and tasty ham and cheese croissant. Very filling, too.

had a poor experience. staff had to step up twice to resolve problems. food was meh. no paper menu to order from, have to scan qr code, so couldn't really see menu well. my daughter wanted a quesadilla (cheese and a tortilla), they said it comes with chicken, we said no chicken. I ordered a feta and spinach croissant, and for my daughter a 'frog cookie.'when I pay, I ask for a printed receipt, she says they'll email it to you' 2 days later, still no email. can't submit a business expense with no receipt.well the quesadilla shows up with peppers and onions (because all kids love those?) and no chicken.my daughter had to pick it all apart. a couple mins goes by and the staff came to take our number and asked if there was anything else, I said I hadn't gotten my croissant, they brought a cold croissant in a box. then I asked about my daughter's cookie, hadn't received that either. they brought that out and apologized and said they really haven't been trained and had only been there for a week. hope management steps up on hiring and training and retention.I'd really encourage the availability of paper menus and printed receipts. some people still prefer these things.bad experience, food quality was decent.

This place was very nice. The atmosphere was welcoming and they had quite a few amenities that helped speed things up. Like the digital menu near the counter so you can look as waited to order. The food was phenomenal. Seriously. And it was well priced. Even with coffee and add ons I only spent $32 in two people and we both took home enough for 2 additional meals. Great experience.

Oh my!! Where have I been!! How did I over look this fabulous place. I had heard of Edgar's but never ventured out to locate their business. Now I feel like it could be my favorite hangout. A very elegant and quite place to have one of your favorite pastries and coffee. Even though I used the word elegant it is very casual and the employees are filled with southern hospitality. You won't regret spending your time or money here. The court yard out front is so relaxing. Pay them a visit...I guarantee you'll love it as much as I do.

They just sold my dad the oldest driest cupcakes for an exaggerated price. He won't bring them back cause he's just that way. But don't buy the cupcakes there. Most awful cake I've ever tasted.

We’ve been before and it’s been fine, today was not. The chicken club I ordered was the weakest club sandwich I’ve ever been served. The bread was soggy and the very thin piece of chicken covered only about 2/3 of the bread. I expect better from Edgar’s, very disappointing. The pasta salad was swimming in dressing.

I ❤ Edgar's! Cashier was very Friendly and helpful. The cookies I got today were REALLY hard. Definitely wasn't happy with that. The strawberry cupcake was moist and delicious. I got the chicken melt and everything on it was good except the chicken. The chicken was overcooked. I could barely chew it because it was super dry. I think I'll be sticking with just the cupcakes.

The place was very inviting. It is a very large place where you can dine in for lunch maybe or carry out. They also had gifts to buy. Everything was neat and clean. Everyone was very nice and friendly. I bought delicious sticky buns with pecans and a tray of assorted Valentine gourmet treats as a gift which was well received.

We are so fortunate to have an Edgar's Bakery in Tuscaloosa now. We've been driving to Birmingham for years for cakes! If you're looking for a place for lunch or a bakery item for a special occasion or a special treat, check them out!

This place is amazing. Tuscaloosa is an overnight stopping point for us and Edgar's is our go-to for breakfast and to grab pastries for the road. They make the most amazing breakfast sandwiches on the best biscuits ever. Also, their grits are incredibly creamy and delicious. Of course, their specialty are an endless assortment of cookies, pastries, cakes and other baked snacks. Love everything at Edgars and it is our highlight when stayin over in Tuscaloosa.

I went to Edgar's and had an excellent time. The atmosphere was wonderful, and our server (a sweet young man named Trevor) was nice and helpful! He brought out our food quickly and was very attentive and welcoming. I'll definitely eat here again!

Edgar's never disappoints. It's a great meeting place because of the cleanliness and "at home" atmosphere of the decor. Whatever your dessert needs are, they can help you. Everything I've ever ordered is fresh and delicious. Steve Jones, manager at Edgar's in Tuscaloosa, gives personalized attention to his customers. I also love the wide variety of gift items available.

So very disappointed! The chefs salt shaker fell in to my egg sandwich . So salty can’t eat ! 8 bucks out the window . I was looking forward to a good bakery sandwich but unfortunately not good! They should ask customers if they want salt and pepper so this doesn’t happen again!

I was so excited to hear that we were getting an Edgar's this past April! I usually frequented the store closest to the Summit when visiting family in Birmingham. But, having the sweet tooth that I do, finding out that we were getting a location in Tuscaloosa made my day! I love all of their sweets, especially the cake slices and lemon bars. And, I have to say that Jenni and Kelsey at the Tuscaloosa store go out of their way to help me and make sure that I get exceptional service! They both know my name when I come in and usually what I want! They make me feel special! Also, the store is decorated so nice! I have not gotten to try breakfast or lunch yet, but it is on my to do list! Again, best bakery in Tuscaloosa and wonderful service! Thank you Jenni and Kelsey!

The food is alright. I had a slice of quiche today that tasted fine, but was far too eggy so the texture was not right. A couple of weeks ago I ate a middling ham and cheese croissant.The coffee though is fantastic. You should get a cup of their regular signature blend!
