10/10 They did an amazing job on my dog Rusty’s surgery, he hardly even seemed to notice that he had the surgery! Everyone was very pleasant and comforting while also being super knowledgeable about the situation and procedure. I would recommend anyone to come here especially for major surgeries!

This place is Spectacular!! They can perform x-rays and Ultrasounds which was great in our case. All of the people were so very kind and showed compassion for my fur baby. I was very impressed with Dr. Roberts. She was very knowledgeable and very thorough. She answered all my questions and concerns with compassion. Thank you to everyone there for taking care of my fur baby and being so very kind.

Dr Hall and staff were very kind, competent, and caring. My dog has been pretty sick and they were very gentle but thorough and let me stay with him for an US. After the test Dr Hall explained all the findings to me and gave me written follow up directions. The Vet Asst told me to get Good Rx for the medicine and that saved me about $100!! Very pleased with the care we got

Our German shepherd was hit by a car, and the staff and doctors have taken such good care of her! They worked us in on a snow day, just because they wanted to help. Very sweet people and were very patient with me as it was my first time at the vet as my kitty hurt her foot… might have been dramatic as a first time cat mom but they took good care of both of us and I felt valued and welcomed! Definitely recommend!

We recently adopted a rescue who is quite shy and still getting used to her new home. I brought her into AMC and everyone was so friendly and welcoming! I also brought along my 3 year old son who was very nervous for our sweet dog Amelia, and the staff even gifted him some goodies to help keep him occupied. They are great with pets AND kids. This was my first time at a vet clinic as a pet parent, not just a kid of a pet owner, but they made me feel so comfortable and answered all my questions! They were so patient and understanding and really just so kind! We are forever patients :)

This has been my first emergency visit (my pup got hurt playing, they worked with me and got me in super fast!) the vet was awesome with my scared little boy! i have been here for regulars but this was out first injury and they handled him so well. I have had great experiences always but this time of panic really showed just how awesome they are! Kai and I love them:) (The pic is him in the office in pain but they gave him so much loved and treats he was happy)

Wonderful staff is running the clinic. Dear Laurie and Jess made sure I could bring our cat in when he was doing really bad and there were no appointments available, it was Friday afternoon, when the clinic is busier than usual. Dr Hall was so patient and helpful listing all options available and explaining what and why is the best in our case. The staff sent us the most touching card with condolences when the oldest kitty died. I appreciate that all our appointments started on time. People here know how to handle pets with love.

Great! The vets are amazing at addressing any worries, and quick to offer clear solutions. I never felt rushed, even when I had a dozen different questions and concerns. You can tell they love the animals they work with. Will definitely be my go-to vet in Tuscaloosa!

Everyone was very nice they were very patient with my dog Jester as he was nervous. The only downside is the cost. I wish I had pet insurance. I understand they have to recommend things but unfortunately we cannot spend as much as needed for all of the recommendations.Dr Cover was sweet and so was the other girl (I’m sorry I can’t remember the name). Thank you! I bring my cat Ollie in on Monday.

The only vet who could operate on my fur baby in an emergency. I cannot thank them enough! She even worked through her lunch break. Words cannot express how grateful and thankful I am for them! Even the after surgery texts to check up on my dog were heartwarming. My dogs have found a new home!

This was my 3rd choice in veterinary care today but now it will be my last. My cat, Laz had had an abscess on his side. The vet pulled the hair off and squeezed some pus out and mentioned she was going to lush it but she never came back. I do appreciate their care plans but she did not communicate with me about removing some important items such as electrolyte pane. They gave him shots and sent us on our way. I even followed up with questions about his wound but I was told to bring him back if the wound gets worse #scam. Now my Dad and I are going to lush the wound.I have never heard of a “problem evaluation” fee either. It was during regular office hours and the problem was he was not eating food/water and had vomited earlier. Overall the staff was nice but I will not bring Laz back.

This review is for the front desk staff.We drive in from SC to visit family to realize our pup wasn’t feeling well.We called around to find a place and was turned away rudely by many. Heath at Animal Medical was awesome!! Not only did he get our pup in same day, he was extremely polite. Thanks for being a kind human being.

Our two week old puppies had their first visit to AMC today. We were seen by Dr. Cover and Kenya who were awesome! We were greeted by the front desk girls who were super nice. I am very pleased with our first visit and can’t wait to return in two weeks!!

Im a student at UA with a 9 month old German Shepherd. My family is 14 hours away, so having to find a new vet for her was very scary for me as she is my first dog. I originally went to another (extremely popular and highly recommended) vet in Tuscaloosa, and the staff was extremely rude. I had to wait 2 hours before she could be seen and they seemed to have a negative view on her breed, after this interaction i’ve been extremely anxious and avoided having to take her to a vet. I took her to AMC and they were absolutely amazing. The staff was incredibly kind and understanding and so good with her. The doctor was very knowledgeable and thorough and explained everything to me in detail. They texted me beforehand confirming everything and afterwards asking how she was. I couldn’t recommend this place more, I feel so much better knowing I have a promising vet for her here if anything were to happen.

I take my baby here bc of the fear free care. My baby have severe anxiety!! Now sometimes I take him to his other vet just for a nail trim bc of pricing, but when it time for his physical or needs to be seen for something with his anxiety so bad, I bring him here. They are great with him. They do cost a bit more, but my baby's mental health is worth it. I dont want anything to happen to him & want make his life & vet visits the best possible.

My husband is a truck driver and one of our pups started peeing blood. I called this place and they said to bring him in. They were able to see us immediately and were very fast and professional. They were able to get us a diagnosis and the meds he needed very quick.

Went in thinking my dog had an upset stomach and need some meds to help with the vomiting. After X-rays we found out he had an obstruction and needed surgery! The staff was so understanding and comforting when I broke down in tears when I got the news. Picked him up that afternoon and the staff loved him. It did my heart good knowing he was so well taken care of while he was there. We’ll always chose Animal Medical Center for all of our vet needs!

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone at Canant Animal Medical Center and Club Mutts! I rescued my Lily (girl) almost 10 years ago....and she was the best dog that I have ever had the fortune of loving. She was faithful, loyal and such a sweet girl. She would do anything to please me...she never barked and was such a consummate companion. One other very important thing to note: SHE dearly loved CLUB MUTTS Doggie Daycare and everyone there. She spent alot of time there because I didn't like leaving her alone when I worked, and she loved the adventure. She didn't hesitate to hop in the car whenever I asked her if she wanted to go play with her friends. Yesterday was extremely hard for me as I had to say goodbye to her due to an overwhelming illness that hit her very suddenly. It was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do. I want to thank Dr. Hall for her love for animals and her compassion for me, as I struggled to make the difficult decision and let her go. She was an angel. Finally, and most importantly, I want to thank the team at Club Mutts for babying her. Thank you for all the love, cheer and grace that you extended to both Lily and I. She loved you all. I don't want to miss anyone, but I do want to thank some of her very best friends....Thank you Lis for being there with me and Lily as we said our goodbyes. You helped me more than I can say. Thank you to Joy, Jess, Mandi, Morgan, Tori and Matt! Ya'll she loved everyone of you, and that made me love you too. She was always so glad to see you and you treated her well. Trust me, I know she would have tucked tail and ran if she had not. She could certainly shy away from any uncertain situation. She was the best pup ever, and again, I am so thankful for everything that you did for her. You brightened her life, right up to the very end. Been going here for about a year and a half now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. they have fit me in on the day of several times for an emergency and when my dog needed surgery Dr Roberts skipped lunch and performed it immediately. I have never had a bad experience here and everyone is especially kind and understanding. they don't rush you out of the rooms and will talk and advise you about anything you need.

I always heard good things about AMC but I was taking my cat to another vet. I just got a new kitten and decided to take him AMC instead of my regular vet and they took such good care of my kitten! Poor thing went to the bathroom in his carrier, and the ladies were nice enough to clean it up. They gave him lots of love and pets before, during, and after the exam, tests, etc. and gave him treats at the end of it. They even sent me and my kitten home with a little goodie bag with a couple treats, Feliway wipes to help calm cats, and catnip! Dr. Newsom was great and very sweet as well! My other cat is due for an update on shots and an exam, and I’ve already made an another appointment with Dr. Newsom for her and requested that my records be sent from my previous vet to AMC!
